THE QUOTES OF THE DAY

Quote I

"If they have to pull the South Africa model to maintain power forever they will do it, and they're not afraid of it, and they're increasingly open about it. Donald Trump is merely the avatar for this, he didn't create it. He simply benefited from it, and I think the sooner that the majority, the actual numerical majority in this country, figures that out and stops treating these elections as just foregone conclusions that you can fix it with just a simple election and that it will be free and fair, the sooner that we will wake up and actually have majority rule in this country."Joy Reid

Quote II

Trump continues to be slammed for not “denouncing” white supremacy, no matter how many times he actually has. Can’t at least one “black leader” issue one tiny statement about how blacks should maybe not kill their bosses and co-workers after getting fired?

Is that too much to ask?

Of course it is, silly! Of course it is. David Cole

Quote III

“He could have passed on our methodologies, our tactics, and our whole covert infrastructure. If it is true that he is dealing with some of the worst people in the world, they will be looking for what do the police know, how do they do stings on us?

“The damage he has potentially done could be quite massive and it could be generational.” Bill Majcher, a former RCMP officer

Quote IV

So, the question remains – a question our much-worse betters most definitely do not want you asking because its answer will make every Normal American less likely to support our garbage elite’s scheme. The question, you furry freak and all you bloodthirsty leftist Venezuelaphiles, is how many Americans are you willing to see die to realize your dream of an America composed of disarmed serfs? Kurt Schlichter

Quote V

Your rights get lost when you depart from the original meaning. And then sometimes, wait, it gets worse. Not only does it take stuff away, it puts stuff in there that isn't." Justice Neil Gorsuch

The dreamchocolate milk police might be coming for chocolate milk in NYC schools.

It’s a school lunch staple, but could it soon be a thing of the past?

The Department of Education is reportedly considering a ban on chocolate milk in city schools.

But that idea is not exactly sitting well with some parents.

Don't you just love totalitarian regimes!

No word if this procedure was named after Hillary Clinton. Plastic surgery for Resting Bitch Face.

To achieve the look, doctors use techniques such as the injection of fillers into the face and sometimes Botox, medical experts said. The procedure takes about 10 to 20 minutes, costs between $500-5,000, with top docs, depending on the number of shots. It typically lasts up to two years.

Although the term RBF entered the cultural lexicon about six years ago, requests for the procedure “more than doubled” over the last year, says Shafer.

It’s because of a public shift in focus from the upper to lower face — “popularized by the Kardashians,” he says, and their affinity for lip injections.

In France, the ends justifies the means. It's one thing for jury nullification, but judge nullification. Wow.

Two climate crisis protesters who removed Emmanuel Macron’s portrait from an official building were justified in doing so because of the severity of the environmental emergency, a judge has said.

The judge in Lyon acquitted the pair of theft in a ruling hailed as historic by campaigners.

In February, a group of 20 activists entered the town hall in a district of the French city. Two of them, Fanny Delahalle, 33, and Pierre Goinciv, 32, removed a portrait of the president, copies of which hang in all official buildings in France. They were pictured holding the gold-framed portrait outside the entrance of the building.

Prosecutors demanded they be fined €500 (£445). The public prosecutor, Rozenn Huon, told the court: “It’s clearly theft and it has done nothing to help climate change.”

The judge conceded “an object of a very strong symbolic value” had been stolen but said the climate crisis was more serious.

If thoughts and prayers don't work. Why not try Holy Water.

Priests administering blessings with holy water is nothing new. But one Russian priest and his colleagues recently took that idea to the extreme.

As reported by Newsweek, Father Alexander Goryachev and Bishop Metropolitan Savva marked Russia’s unofficial Sobriety Day holiday on Sept. 11 by “cleansing” the city of Tver with 18 gallons of holy water.

Some people eat to live, some live to eat. If I ever got to the Mission District in San Francisco I would like to check out Walzwerk, an East German restaurant.

IT’S A BUZZING EVENING IN San Francisco’s Mission District, but walking through the front door of what is perhaps the only East German restaurant in the United States feels like stepping into another country, as well as the past. At Walzwerk, framed illustrations of Vladimir Lenin, Karl Marx, and Friedrich Engels share space along one of the eatery’s walls, and a large poster extolling the quality of the former East Germany’s Maxhütte steelworks hangs on another.

The cozy two-room space is heavy with the scent of sausage and sauerkraut, and the only server floats between customers, delivering plates of herring and steaming bowls of potato soup. On the restaurant’s outside entry is a metal sign reading “You Are Now Leaving the American Sector.” That’s pretty accurate. By serving East German cuisine, Walzwerk is a portal to life behind the Iron Curtain and to a state that no longer exists.

It’s nice to be wanted. The story of how I spent two years on the U.S. Marshals’ Top 15 Most Wanted list as a fugitive from justice.

I’d spent my late teenage years dealing weed and psychedelics while following the Grateful Dead, only to get busted by cops in Northern Virginia for selling LSD and marijuana at East Coast colleges back in 1991. In my youthful, defiant brain, I’d just been selectively disregarding the law, just like everyone else does — albeit on a scale that involved thousands of hits of acid. I’d get LSD sent to me by an associate on the West Coast, and then distribute it, wholesale, to a network of suppliers and dealers. Unfortunately, one of the people on that supply chain turned out to be an undercover cop.

Though as a dealer I never shot anyone or beat anybody down, some LSD that had passed through my hands found its way into those of a teenager, who in June 1991 was found by the Fairfax County cops, tripping on six tabs of acid, naked except for a blanket. As the officers attempted to restore some calm to the situation, things got heated and the kid somehow managed to steal one of the cops’ guns and ended up shooting one of them in the chest (thankfully, the officer lived).

Had a recent MRI or x-ray taken? Your images may be on the internet unbeknownst to you.

Medical images and health data belonging to millions of Americans, including X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans, are sitting unprotected on the Internet and available to anyone with basic computer expertise.

The records cover more than 5 million patients in the United States and millions more around the world. In some cases, a snoop could use free software programs—or just a typical Web browser—to view the images and private data, an investigation by ProPublica and the German broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk found.

We identified 187 servers—computers that are used to store and retrieve medical data—in the US that were unprotected by passwords or basic security precautions. The computer systems, from Florida to California, are used in doctors' offices, medical-imaging centers, and mobile X-ray services.

This is sooooooooo rich. The man who spends million on gun control campaigns is not happy with college campuses.

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has had "enough" with the "intolerance" on college campuses.

In a recent op-ed, Bloomberg took on everything from viewpoint diversity -- or the lack thereof -- on college campuses to the trend of recent boycotts against businesses over their owners' political giving.

"Take recent demands to boycott businesses whose investors have voiced support for the president," Bloomberg writes. "The question is not whether business boycotts are legitimate. The question is whether Americans can live and work together without being so absolutist about politics and intolerant of viewpoint diversity."

Bloomberg adds that "healthy democracy is about living with disagreement, not eliminating it."

So I get to keep my AR-15, continue to drink large sugary drinks and enjoy some tasty foods made with trans-fats.

Pandora's box is open and Mayor Bloomberg you helped pull the lid off.

Revenge....served best with wet naps. Recently The ONT covered the story of Cilla Carden, from Perth, Australia. H/T Bitter Clinger.

More than 2,000 people have said they will attend the so-called Community BBQ for Cilla Carden, and another 6,000 have expressed an interest.

12 September 2019
“Don’t let Cilla destroy a good old Aussie tradition, join us for a community BBQ and help Cilla Carden GET SOME PORK ON HER FORK,” the event’s creator, Bailey Mason, writes in the description.

Responding to the backlash, Ms Carden told Australian media: “This issue has been blown out of proportion. This is not about a vegan versus meat issue.

“I respect the right of people to eat meat. I have no problem with barbecues. The real issue is one between neighbours.”

Sounds like we have quite a few Morons down under.

Feelings.

The Sun reports that a proposed legal ban on eating dogs and cats was blocked by officials in the UK’s Ministry of Justice. The reason? Member of Parliament Giles Watling was told by a source inside the Ministry it would be “culturally insensitive for the government to dictate to other nations what they should eat.”

The source added that the law would be difficult to enforce and the “current ban on transporting or exporting dog and cat meat suffices.”

If this is true. This is the best news I've heard this week.

Twenty-four years after its end, The Far Side appears set for a surprising return.

A just-launched official site for Gary Larson’s often anthropomorphic, always surreal one-panel comic strip was recently updated with a new cartoon showing a man with a blowtorch thawing out various animals and human characters who populated the series. Underneath was the message “Uncommon, unreal, and (soon-to-be) unfrozen. A new online era of The Far Side is coming!”

THE ONT MUSICAL INTERLUDE

On this day: 18 Sep 1970
Jimi Hendrix was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Mary Abbot's Hospital in London at the age of 27 after choking on his own vomit. Hendrix left the message 'I need help bad man', on his managers answer phone earlier that night. Rumors and conspiracy theories grew up around Hendrix’s death. Eric Burdon claimed Jimi had committed suicide, but that’s contradicted by reports that he was in a good frame of mind. In 2009, a former Animals roadie published a book claiming that Jimi’s manager had admitted to him that he arranged the murder of Hendrix, since the guitarist wanted out of his contract. via thisdayinmusic.com

BANFF – It's not every day a man tries to fight a grizzly bear.

But it appears that is what happened in Banff National Park in 2015 when Devin Mitsuing, 35, got out of his truck shirtless and began shouting at the young grizzly while in a "boxing stance" before charging at it, according to an eyewitness to the incident.

Caught on camera by a couple of nearby photographers, who were taking pictures of the lone grazing grizzly on Highway 93 and called RCMP after the incident, Mitsuing was later located in Radium, B.C. by RCMP and a Park Warden and charged under the National Parks Act, for disturbing wildlife in a national park.

After two previous missed court dates, the case finally came to trial in the Canmore Provincial Courthouse Friday (Sept. 13) morning with Judge George Gaschler finding the Saskatchewan man guilty and imposing a $4,000 fine.

"It is abundantly clear this is a disturbance of a grizzly bear and I find [Mr. Mitsuing] guilty," Judge Gaschler said.

College football can be an intense experience. These fans made it a Feel Good Story of The Day.

University of Georgia football fans swapped out red for pink this weekend to honor the wife of the opposing coach.

The fans staged a "pink out" of the stadium to remember Wendy Anderson, the wife of Arkansas State coach Blake Anderson.

Wendy died last month after a two-year fight against breast cancer.

"It has been a really emotional week," Anderson said after the game on Saturday. "I just want to say publicly: one of the classiest moves I've ever seen. It's hard to truly prepare for something like that."

Your rights get lost when you depart from the original meaning. And then sometimes, wait, it gets worse. Not only does it take stuff away, it puts stuff in there that isn't.

"About the Declaration there is a finality that is exceedingly restful. It is often asserted that the world has made a great deal of progress since 1776, that we have had new thoughts and new experiences which have given us a great advance over the people of that day, and that we may therefore very well discard their conclusions for something more modern. But that reasoning can not be applied to this great charter. If all men are created equal, that is final. If they are endowed with inalienable rights, that is final. If governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, that is final. No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions. If anyone wishes to deny their truth or their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward, but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people. Those who wish to proceed in that direction can not lay claim to progress. They are reactionary. Their ideas are not more modern, but more ancient, than those of the Revolutionary fathers." - Calvin Coolidge

I had a nice phone interview with some people I've known for years and who like my work experience.

They started right off at the place I hoped wouldn't come up right away. Would I relocate to the Philadelphia area? I said it depended on what relocation they offered and what the salary was.

I doubt they're going any further with me, but there's a possibility of other business with them.

I did some extended visiting in Canada around 2000. There was an intelligence scandal in the news then too.

Some minority female RCMP intelligence worker was studying for a test to get a higher position. She took a massive comprehensive intelligence document home with her, the crown jewels basically, projected threats, plans assets, structures and methods, you name it. She did this in complete violation of regulations and the law. She wanted to study for the test while on vacation.

She left the document in her car while parked at a stadium -- hockey game -- that night. Some local derelicts broke into her car and stole the briefcase containing the intelligence document.

She went out of town on vacation the next day, and get this -- didn't tell anyone at the agency about the stolen document until she got back from vacation 10 days later.

The police located the derelicts, questioned them intently, looked in the dumpster they'd thrown the briefcase, and the city landfill -- but of course the document was never found.

The news article said that long time workers in the agency were enraged and considered the fate of the woman an indicator of whether they would stay with the agency or resign. Affirmative action and political correctness had apparently already caused considerable problems, and this was the last straw.

I never did see how it turned out, but I would bet she kept her job and escaped prosecution, maybe even got promoted. Anybody know?

129 just watched tonight's edition of the Country Music Documentary, and it was excellent, again. Featured stories - Patsy Kline and Johnny Cash, and a bit of Elvis. I never knew that "Crazy", Patsy Kline's biggest hit, was written by Willy Nelson.

it suddenly struck me why I'm enthralled by documentaries like this, and history in general. It's because you can only know who you are if you know who we were. By learning what was, I learn what I am.

and that's the core, base problem with all of the SJW's, and other young un's going nuts with idiotic ideas and beliefs today - they are desperately searching for an identity, because they don't have one. They never learned, they were never taught, who we were, and thus they have no idea who they are. And they're always going to be miserable, and inflict their misery on those around them, because they have no chance of figuring any of that out the way they're going.

A colonoscopy is not that big a deal. I've been through three over the course of fifteen years.

The bowel purging ahead of time is a pretty big inconvenience, primarily because you'll likely have a raw, red a-hole at the end several hours later because you void everything and it is largely water at the end of the process.

I was unconscious during the procedures. I heard of no option to be only partially sedated (as I was during the installation of my heart stent). I do not know whether it would have been useful one way or another.

209 I am very stoked about the Far Side cartoons reboot.

I grew up reading quite a few comic strip compendiums. I think my aunt first gave me the entire collection of Peanuts comics by Charles Schulz. Highly formative to my early childhood.

Then came the Garfield collection by Jim Davis as I entered adolescence, quickly followed by Calvin and Hobbes books by Bill Watterson during my teen years.

But all along the way I would get Gary Larson Far Side books as well as page a day calendars.

These humorous men, each unique in their own right, provided countless hours of entertainment with their wit and artistic abilities. I feel blessed to have grown up in a time when things weren't all electronic and fleeting.

My wife and I have both gone through the procedure in the last few years, completely awake. Neither of us wanted to waste any time in the recovery room waiting for stuff to wear off. So both of us were done and out of there in record time.

It is not painful at all, and the only discomfort comes from the air they use to inflate your colon to maneuver the scope around in there, which just feels like really bad gas but, er, passes quickly.

If you can get to sleep in the first place, maybe try ~3mg of melatonin a half hour or so before you go to bed. It doesn't make me tired at all - if I'm alert, I could take a melatonin and stay awake for hours - but once I fall asleep, it'll keep me asleep for at least 6 hours. YMMV.

381 The couple of times I really lost weight, significant weight, were when I was forced to burn a lot of calories throughout the day running, hiking, and just hanging out in sweltering heat. Yes we were not allowed to graze on food either but neither were meals significantly restricted.
I agree that what you eat matters a hell of a lot. This is true particularly when you are getting old. But lifestyle has to be a major factor. Many people today live a sedentary lifestyle. They sit at computers and stare at cell phones. No chance this is not a major factor in the nation's weight problem.

There could be other factors we don't fully understand at this point. You have people with thyroid issues among many others. I remember when people would scoff at a fat person who mentioned metabolism etc, but now those things are obvious. There are thin people who eat a ton and fat people who might eat poorly but not that often.

Again, I agree the eating and drinking part trumps exercise in that it is hard to burn off a bunch of drinks or mallomars. But in the previous centuries, few worried about what they ate as we do; yet, compared to this population, those people were thin.

And one last issue. Even though everyone believes the populace is fat now, people are living longer than ever. Of course lose weight and be healthy, but not everything was better when the populace weighed less, they also died sooner.

during high school in new Orleans, I hung with a rowdy crowd. one of my friends lived in a neighborhood that was getting overrun by vietnamese immigrants. his family cat disappeared one week (after several other pets in the surrounding area). he asked his little brown neighbor if they had seen his cat. the next garbage day, he saw his family pet's carcass in the trash. he then told his dad, a oil field rough neck, and dad and son proceeded with a break and entry with assault and battery. long story short, a message was transmitted and received, should any pet disappear again, the lesson would be repeated and it was up to THAT vietnamese family to share the word and enforce the cultural norm in their new home.

there was a brief news story about cultural differences and how eveushould just get along, but that neighborhood was mostly oil field manual laborers and they were all Morons with without a sense of humor when it came to the family pet.

Hunt for vestal virgins, the parading of the pudding, everyone gets together for mashed turnips, confetti, drunken fistfights, traditional singing of Mariachi songs, wearing lace both with and without aguillettes, "happy shooting" and the traditional concomitant gunfire-grovel while we all shout "Serpentine Shelby", followed by frottage, effluerage, and the game of ditch the concierge.

Eventually, when the bonfire of tires and unsold Christmas trees has burned down to clinkers and steel belts, we make our palindrome pledge to the new millenium and go home to nurse hangovers and the odd re-occurring rash.

506 A note on the sedatives used in colonoscopy. I've been administered versed (midazolam,) fentanyl (which everybody has heard of by now,) and propofol (Michael Jackson's "milk.") These are given via IV, or in fentanyl's case sometimes by a dermal patch.

These are used in various combinations by different doctors. They are heavenly, and something you should definitely look forward to if you are afraid of, or embarrassed by this procedure. The practitioners always are very nice and comforting.

Discount red curry.

Posted by: Insomniac at September 19, 2019 12:30 AM (NWiLs)

526 The thing about medical costs is an economic phenomenon called price inelasticity of demand. Health care is an economic good that, like e.g. heroin, you will pay any amount demanded, because the good is so valuable to you. You'll pay any amount to keep yourself alive. Knowing this, healthcare providers will gouge you.

Another thing that keeps med costs high is lack of advertising, therefore lack of price competition. Med costs tend to be opaque; when you enter the hospital, you have absolutely no idea what your costs are going to be, unlike say, getting a washer/dryer installed in your home.

Finally, since every healthcare provider in the USA demands patient insurance, the price that insurers are willing to pay becomes the price floor from which healthcare providers start to charge. I guess some very rich people are able to arrange fee-for-service pricing, and prepaid "concierge" services. All I know is, whenever I see a healthcare provider, the very first question I'm asked is always "do you have insurance?" Always.

For my surgery in 2005, I was able to arrange cash discount pricing with the surgeons and anesthetists. When I asked for a cash discount from the hospital, which was about 70% of total costs, they had me fill out a form listing my assets. Upon reviewing the form, they demanded full price, because they then knew I could pay it.

531 I fuckin' hate so many things.

The latest:

A state school-sports regulation in New Jersey clearly states that student athletes competing in boys' wrestling official matches MUST have short hair no longer than a certain length, because long hair can be A. dangerous if if causes the neck or head to get twisted accidentally ,and B. possibly give a student an advantage if it interferes with certain holds and positions.

No oneever argues with this obvious and sensible rule until recently when at a high school championship match a student wrestler showed up for a bout with extra-long hair. The referee correctly said, "Nope -- can't legally do the bout with hair that long. Either cut it off or the match is cancelled."

Annnddd..guess what happened nest?

THE REFEREE WAS SUSPENDED FOR TWO YERS WITHOUT PAY, AND ALL REFEREES IN THE STATE WERE COMPELLED TO ENDURE RACE-SHAMING "SENSITIVELY TRAINING."

Why???

Because the referee was white and the kids with the super-long hair was a black kid with dreadlocks:

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-49749510

The entire state's worth of referees have to listen to indoctrination sessions about the evil history of "hair discrimination."

And, and from now on black kids can have hair however long they want, but white kids still have to have shot hair.

My eyes now shoot out Cynicism Death Rays that incinerate everything I gaze upon.

532 Your rights get lost when you depart from the original meaning. And then
sometimes, wait, it gets worse. Not only does it take stuff away, it
puts stuff in there that isn't." Justice Neil Gorsuch

========

This Gorsuch quote is interesting as I just read something along the same lines in Dennis Prager's commentary on The Book of Genesis 3:1 - 3:3:

"Now the serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild beasts that the Lord God has made. He said to the woman, Did God really say: You shall not eat of any tree of the garden?"

The woman replied to the serpent, "We may eat of the fruit of the other trees of the garden.

It is only about the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden that God said, 'You shall not eat of it, or touch it, lest you die.'"

Misquoting God or Man Can Lead to Catastrophic Consequences

In [the serpent] posing the question "Did God really say: You shall not eat of any tree of the garden?" the serpent deliberately distorted God's words, claiming that God prohibited eating from all the trees in the garden, when in fact God prohibited eating only from one.
...

The Talmud comments on Eve's incorrect citing of God's instructions: "One who adds to God's words actually detracts from them." For this reason, the Torah legislates (Deuteronomy 4:2, 13:1) that we should not only not subtract from God's commands, we should not add to them either. This also applies to the words of human beings. Misquoting someone or adding to their words to reinforce what the person said -- even when done with good intentions -- is not only immoral, it can easily lead to catastrophic results, as it did in this case.

547 Government interference in health care also drives up prices. The EMTALA law forces ERs to take all comers, regardless of their ability to pay. The HIPAA law hamstrings healthcare providers in a thousand different ways.

The government-pushed computerization of doctor's offices also has driven up costs, with dubious benefit. You've probably all noticed how your doctor visits now involve your physician spending more time typing than talking to you. This push for all-out computerization came from effective lobbying by medical software companies, who know exactly how to schmooze lawmakers.

What?

You must live in the cheapest state in the US.

Where I live, just to walk into a doctor's office costs $150 right off the bat. Any additional procedure, no matter how trivial and quick, costs hundreds of dollars more. Something like a prostate exam would be several hundred.

I recently had to go to the dentist to have them check if a filling was loose.

He looked at it for 30 seconds -- "Nope, not loose."

Got the bill two weeks later: $240.

In her hands, are the ends of the front axle of a motorcycle wheel, replete with tire.

The insteps of her feet, hold the axle of the rear tire.

Her entire body is coated with a very shiny, very reflective, black liquid, from head to toe.

IIRC, she was also wearing a gloss black, full-face helmet with dark tinted visor.

Photo was taken from the "rear 3/4 view".

Was for a tire ad, or a motorcycle oil ad. I forget which, exactly.

One of the major magazines even ran a feature-length article on that pic, profiling the photographer, the model, and especially the set-up, staging and arranging, the technology and techniques used to create that picture.

It sold well on the poster market, too. It was not the proverbial "flash in the pan", it got at least five years of mileage out of the image.

You post that image or that magazine feature, you're automatically up for Moron of the Year.

I have a mental list of what I call 'Cosmic Intersections'. These are coincidences which strain all imaginable likelihood.

Example. Yesterday morning, CBD posted an art thread featuring a guy holding a pink carnation. That led pretty quickly to a comment:

"6 Should be wearing a white sport coat.
Posted by: Marty Robbins"

Okay. Then tonight, on Burn's country music show, one day later, they addressed Marty Robbins, and played 'A White Sport Coat and a Pink Carnation'.

Now, I can't recall the last time that I thought about, or heard 'A White Sport Coat'...years, decades, maybe. So, twice in two days.

Cosmic intersection.

628 we shipped a "saltwater" Browning Superposed in for repair back in April 2018.

they sent us a quote in September 2018.

we didn't have the scratch to fund it until this spring.

i haven't checked its status in months, first because of my Dad, and then the Vista box died and took all my tabs with it.

found the post card earlier, looking for something else, and there are now only 4 items left to do: refinish stock, refinish forearm, re-blue barrel, and re-finish 2nd forearm.

when they get done, we will have an essentially new, Superposed set of 12 and 20 gauge uppers on an equally new Superposed lower.

with the original Browning case and all its papers.

just in time for Christmas, if they hold their schedule

Side note, People, make a will. Make some plans. The daughter was told by her mom that there was stuff in place, and there is not. So now she gets to scramble to find things. So far, all she has found is a metric Shartload of credit card debt.

Anyway, I'm sitting at home when they get back. Wife walks in with toting a rifle, and I figure my time is up.
She says that this is the rifle the the daughters grandfather had in the war!

I take a quick look and say, not unless he was Japanese.
I had seen it before on one of the Guns of WW2.
Looked it up and it is the Arisaka 99. With the chrysanthemum still on it. Near as I could find it was produce 1939 to 1942. Still had the full sites, and the mono-pod
A little rusty and dusty though. The daughter took it home with her.
Thing is a heavy gun. I can't imagine toting it around all day

693 So in the continuing saga of 'The Real Illegals of Baltimore County', Season Three...

We reported on the Road Rage incident where four individuals were stabbed, including the suspect.

But the investigation was delayed as NONE of the four individuals could speak English.

Now, the 24 year old suspect's name has been announced in the media.

But...there is no online court record of his booking, or any priors.

First time that I have seen that happen here.

Sort of lends credence to the commonly heard theory that the County government is massaging police reports and records to prevent the impact of illegal immigration in the county from being known by the public.

This is everywhere in the country. I heard a local police officer say it was important to protect criminals from the violent citizens.

The asset confiscation funding mechanism has twisted the moral compass of many police departments. I aver crime could be ended, and drug dealers jailed, but it is the police budget's best interests to seize stuff. Like a fleecing of the laity.

The 2019 Michigan MoMe is this weekend!!!

Join us September 20 & 21 in the greater metropolitan area of Chelsea, Michigan for the festivities.

Friday night, we dine in Hell. Literally. We'll be at the Hell Saloon in Hell, Michigan for dinner around 6:30-ish. After dinner, we'll return to the cabin campsite built on the cursed ancient Indian burial ground just down the road from the state prison for the criminally insane for ukulele practice.

During the day on Saturday, we'll be hanging out at the cabin, whittling entire trees into toothpicks & just generally relaxing. The roundtable discussion topic this year is "IKEA Shelving: Threat or Menace?", followed by small unit tactics practice.

Saturday evening we'll go in to town for diner at the BBQ joint around 4:30; after which we'll return to the campsite for a large thermal event & pants-less dancing to the finest ukulele band in all the land.

Click the link in the sidebar (or in my nick) for more details.

"This one. Now I have the image of Alex Trebek waving Sean Connery's dick at people. "

I just want to thank you for that visual brain worm.

But.....in MY head, it's a SNL skit..

With Connery waving Trebek's crank.

What's all this talk of mutual dick-waving?
