Powerline/David Steinberg: Case Closed -- Omar Ilhan, Born Omar Elmi, Married Her Brother For Purposes of Immigration Fraud

Even the Star-Tribune, a leftwing newspaper, admitted yesterday that "Omar" might well have married her brother.New investigative documents released by a state agency have given fresh life to lingering questions about the marital history of Rep. Ilhan Omar and whether she once married a man -- possibly her own brother -- to skirt immigration laws. Omar has denied the allegations in the past, dismissing them as "baseless rumors" first raised in an online Somali politics forum and championed by conservative bloggers during her 2016 campaign for the Minnesota House. But she said little then or since about Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, the former husband who swept into her life in 2009 before a 2011 separation. The questions surfaced again this month in a state probe of campaign finance violations showing that Omar filed federal taxes in 2014 and 2015 with her current husband, Ahmed Hirsi, while she was still legally married to but separated from Elmi. Although she has legally corrected the discrepancy, she has declined to say anything about how or why it happened. The new documents also detail the Omar campaign’s efforts to keep the story of her marriage to Elmi out of the press, arguing that detailed coverage would legitimize the accusations and invade her privacy. ... The search of records could neither conclusively confirm nor rebut the allegation that he is Omar’s sibling. Sent a list of questions and a request to talk to her siblings and father, Omar declined to do so. Hirsi did not reply to multiple calls, texts and e-mails. Social media posts indicate Elmi is in Africa. He did not respond to multiple e-mails.But David Steinberg's article is as conclusive as you can get. "Omar" cannot be permitted to keep claiming that questions about this are "Islamophobic lies" -- a bit of bullshit she used to shut down questions about being married to two men at the same time, until it was proven that she was in fact married to two men at the same time. Update: "I am legally married to one and culturally to another: How Ilhan Omar desperately tried to shut down accusations of bigamy amid claims she was briefly married to her BROTHER to 'commit immigration fraud' while she was still with her current husband. I still have questions....the brother/husband went to Arlington HS in MN for his senior year 2002-2003. Why? He was living in London...why and how did he come to the US to go to one year of HS?
Where was he between 2003 and 2009? In 2009 they married and went to ND state univ. together and graduated in 2011. Where did he go then? I can't even figure out a 'reason' for the faux marriage. He had asylum in the UK and was eventually granted citizenship.

Delaware kept trying to get me to go there. Sent an actual person to my school to try to talk me into it....said they'd take me after 10th grade. I always thought that was fucking weird. Knowing the tactics that the Left uses I expect that the "chant" by 3 or 4 people was started by a left activist and the Twitter/MSM/Blog responses were mapped out in advance to set a narrative about the rally. Workshops have been done for decades on how to do this at any public event. My only surprise is that they didn't get more people chanting as that was the whole idea.
Their tactics aren't working out as they used too so they now use Twitter and the media to make something out of nothing.

Then, they reported that the gunman was in custody.
Suddenly, he was reported as dead.
