Disney, The Happiest Place on Earth

Disney's Toontown, apparently with virtually no park security, forcing visitors (with Toxic Masculinity) to step in and subdue a berserk assailant punching women all over the place.

Drifting in and out of the shot is a tall person of unclear sexual identification with a big beach-ball belly and a white shirt, white hat, and blue pants with red stripe who does nothing during this mayhem except call for more help on a walkie-talkie and leave all the actual protection of Disney patrons to park visitors.

Apparently Disney is trying to make up for the very poor attendance of its expensive new Star Wars unattraction by scheduling in some wild family brawls and inviting the general public to maintain peace and order.

Disney put out a statement declaring that it does not "condone" violence. Well, I don't know, you have barely any park security and some of them seem like Sexual Diversity Hires who don't seem capable of physical confrontation and some others don't do much except stand around and try to look busy doing anything except intervening to protect guests.

"Condone" means "accept and allow to continue." It seems like Disney does condone violence in its parks. They sure the hell don't seem to be staffing their parks to actually stop it.

Via Ethan van Sciver, who does a Zapruder Film-style analysis of the mayhem about ten minutes into this podcast, after he promotes the new Jawbreakers comic book.

This won't get much media play because Disney is powerful and will squelch anything approaching proper coverage.

Oh, and Ethan van Sciver also talks about the poor attendance at the new Star Wars unattraction, and the push-back from Disney.

The sequence of events was explained to me:

Almost got into it with people of a darker demographic while waiting in line for over an hour. Their kids kept bumping into us, hitting us, etc. the kids were just excited and restless from the long wait but it was super irritating since the clueless parents weren't try to rein them in at all. But boy they get defensive when I finally said something to one of the kids for stepping on me for the thousandth time. Plus it was HOT but humid...

Family friendly, and not too expensive. Had a couple REALLY good vacations there with my Kids.

Now? even with the Military discount for retired folks, its pricey.

Still $178 for a 3 day park hopper pass at Disney. Not too bad.

For anyone interested, it's a good option to Disney. I prefer it.

When I was a kid, Mom and some number of us 5 kids would drive out every few years. My first trip when I was 3, last when I was 17. Loved every minute of every one of them.
Dad, btw, would stand in the driveway smiling and smiling and waving as we left. Gone for three weeks or a month each time except the last, which was for my bro's wedding.

I have a friend in the LA area who is a big Disney fan. She gets an annual pass every year. I'd guess that a lot of the attendees at Disneyland are regulars with season passes. Wasn't there a news story a year or so ago about Disney gangs (like biker gangs, but with Tinkerbell on their jackets) roaming Disneyland and fighting it out when one gang disrespected another gang?

And the kids were probably all crying and whining too, and he probably didn't want to go in the first place.
