59 From Military(dot)com:

Bikers coming in from across the country traditionally assemble in parking lots around the Pentagon, where Rolling Thunder would sell products such as pins, patches, and flags to raise additional money.

A particular point of contention, according to Muller, was a growing lack of cooperation with security forces at the Pentagon who he accused of diverting the bikers and not allowing them to enter the parking lots, which also prevented participants from buying Rolling Thunder products.

Department of Defense spokeswoman Susan L. Gough has denied those charges, saying the DoD is focused on supporting Rolling Thunder's right to protest while at the same time ensuring the safety and security of both the bikers and the Pentagon complex itself.

appointed by former President Obama, issued the order, which does not
fully halt construction, but would limit additional border fencing to
specific areas. It would also block the transfer of about $1 billion in
Pentagon funds from various projects to pay for the construction of a
wall.

Didn't Reagan say we are always one election away from disaster?
The very existence of the Deep State is inimical to conservative concepts because it decreases their well deserved unaccountable power and puts them at risk. They have no problem with our pursuing actions that put US at risk since we are just a source of funding, laundered through Congress with only a modest skim for the graft.
Your fellow residents voted (and voted and recounted) for the current insanity going on in Nazi Pelosi's House of Clowns and demonstrated that the Deep State could rest easy, because eventually a "progressive" Administration WILL be voted in and it will be subject to NONE of the delay, obfuscation, and illegal judicial rulings that have tied Trump's hands for years now.
Best part is that our stalwart "conservative" GOP Establishment will still be cheering them on.

If you can't find them easily, I've also used Reynolds non-stick aluminum foil, but that was long ago and I don't even know if they make it any more.

You could also use parchment paper, of course.

Those two have always been linked in my view. Both are most responsible for shackling Sarah Palin during the McCain run, and would have to be considered to have intentionally lost that race by doing so.

I don't see them as human though, so I'm not sure how "dating" and marriage fit into the picture. I can't imagine either of them have anything like a human morality that would prevent them from rutting with whatever comes along anyway.

So yeah, if they're porking each other, at least they're not foisting themselves on other, less evil humans.

This was my mom's mother and I was just in HS at the time.

One of my gma's sisters was there when we were going through stuff. She was desperately trying to get a dresser drawer open that was stuck and asked if I'd help her. When we finally got it opened, her hand was like lightening reaching under all the pajamas straight to a fat envelope that she then stuffed in her pants.

I just sat there with my jaw hitting the floor...then told my mom and dad about it. Not sure if they confronted her later or what.

Most if not all of the hardcore group is already gone. The steps the plotters took to isolate the small group from oversight is ultimately part of their undoing.

They ran the operation from HQ, a clear departure from normal procedure, so they could contain knowledge of what they were doing. Unfortunately for them, it also made it clear who was part of the coup.

Now comes the punishment phase.

248 One of my gma's sisters was there when we were going through stuff.

Trump is not one of the Anointed by the New World Order, and his independent wealth means he can pay the piper without resorting to accepting bribes/graft. This is NOT the way a proper world runs, and the Establishment flunkies are all still working for the crumbs that fall off the graft train!

Posted by: Commissar Hrothgar at May 25, 2019 09:52 AM (AZxMX)

252 I grew up in an old Victorian house from the late
1800's. It was built by the local banker and the town story was he had
money hidden some where in the house when he died. As a Teen (and
younger) I looked everywhere, especially in the old attic, and in the
basement behind the stone foundation. Needless to say never found
nothing. Now when I drive by the house I still wonder what might have
been hidden. Maybe the present owners did find it??
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, if there was a "story" that he had money in the house, that means it was known when he was alive, right? Because he didn't tell anyone after he died.
So if it was known, someone took it. But never admitted they took it.

310 Regarding Rolling Thunder, I read that the problem is a real one. You've got some thousands of bikers w/their bikes, all of whom have to have places to park/hang until time for the event. Multiple rally points, in other words, and the city is short of places for them to gather.

It sounds like something that could be fixed, but I think it's more the organizers, rather than the city, that needs to work the problem. D.C. isn't giving them a hard time getting a permit for the actual "parade." They just need to rally elsewhere and then enter the city in formation at the prescribed time.

Heh. If you look at /pol/ postings there is a real backlash against hookup culture via all the "THOT-patrolling". While it can get vicious, it's nice to see that there are some younger people who can see what a cancer this behavior can be, particularly down the road.

To my mind , that's what the R's issue was with Palin. She was honest, and ethical. She hadn't "played the game" and let Rs slide when she was in an administrative position (don't remember what it was, something to do with oil industry oversight or such) and it had already cost her that position. She was *clean* and that meant no one owed her any favors any more than she owed others and so she had no currency in the uniparty establishment (which makes McCain choosing her so puzzling. She was essentially the anti-him).

Without Trump's "FU money" and no political collateral, it was easy to put financial pressure on her. I know some called her a quitter but, given that all her previous actions had shown her priority to be the Alaskan people (a public servant who considered themselves exactly that, amazing!) resigning in order to not cost them money is exactly in line with her character.

Is that for real? Jeebus.

There was a big effort to remove all the trash (and the odd corpse or two) that has been accumulating on Everest:

"Those who reach 8,000 meters on either side will find a wasteland, literally. Human feces do not degrade at this altitude; they merely blow away or get stuck in the rocks. A few Western teams are starting to use blue bags to bring down solid waste, similar to a practice implemented recently on Alaska’s Denali."

I'm not sure that's true. This form of extreme behavior always carries a risk of death, and I think lots of people get off on that.

At this point I just can't care. Spoil the highest place on Earth, turn it into a vast waste dump. So be it.

Eventually when SMOD (or whatever the form the Destructor takes) destroys all we know (including us), the Earth (or whatever other ball of matter it becomes) will reform, and things like Mt. Everest will not be a thing. Nobody will care. There may not be any living beings left to care. God may have just decided "You know what? This sentient being thing was a mistake, I'll just make the next universe a light show with explosions and stuff."

377 To revisit an old topic.

When the father of a friend died, we went through his belongings. I found a cardboard box in an abandoned upstairs bedroom. Emptied out all the trash when a coin slid out from under a bottom flap. It was a one cent piece from New Jersey. A very rare coin, and it was in the best condition of any known at the time.

He had stacks of stock certificates from 'penny' stocks. Most to the companies were defunct, but the certificates had become collector items--worth much money.

My friend knew that his father put money into numerous bank accounts. So, he took his father's death certificate and drove from Vermont to Arizona (his father's vacation site), stopping at all the banks along the way. Sure enough, there were numerous accounts. Picked up several thousand dollars.

400 Seventeen people have died on Mt. Everest this season.

The climbed only to die and remain forever mummified in the Land of Eternal Shit.

Something poetic or Greeky mythish about that.

402 I have good insoles. I think my hiking shoes were wrong though. No blisters but my second toe nail is turning black... definitely not the right shoes.

403 392 lin-duh, get yourself a pair of Vionic Tides (flip-flops). They cured my plantar fasciitis 6 years ago and it's never come back. I have three pairs and I wear them all spring/summer/fall around the house (too cold in winter here!).

Amazon has them but they seem a tad expensive...

404 Linda,

Get a tennis ball and roll it under your foot while your sitting down. Start gentle, then increase pressure. Also, sometimes a frozen bottle of water, rolled under your foot helps too.

405 If I were going to climb Everest, I'd carry a parachute. To hell with climbing back down.
