Flint, Michigan Democrats Authorize Politically-Connected Firms to Waste Millions of Dollars Digging Up Non-Existent Pipes Instead of Going by the Map That Shows Exactly Where They Are;
Left-Wing Media, For Some Reason, Completely Uninterested in This

See the Luke Rosniak tweets below for the digest, as well as for links to his story about this scandal.

Never let a crisis go to waste -- every crisis is a wonderful opportunity to shower millions of federal taxpayer dollars on politically-connected companies, and get some nice kickbacks in return, maybe.

The media isn't interested in this because they'd have to dig random holes to find a Republican office-holder within 30 miles of this catastrophe.

I thought the rule was no OT until after 100, but since it is your blog, Burger King has screwed up their own unique offering, flame grilling over an open gas flame.

Before, they cooked mainly to order, or tried as much as possible to do so. Hot flame cooking of beef is a unique taste. I loved it. Think weekend BBQ.

What BK does now is cook up a lot of patties and hold them, ready to assemble burgers. The burgers are now just warmed over meat, and the unique flame broil (compared to other chains) is history.

pretty sure my local late, lamented kfc used a sharpie for their grilled chicken. towards the end, seemed like they'd take the fried chicken and draw grill marks on with a sharpie when you ordered grilled chicken.

first time i had the grilled chicken, when it first came out, was magic. then it got dry and chewy. then came the fried chicken with sharpied grill marks on it. then my local kfc went away.

But they can't do the same quality for that price, so they cut corners and have worse meat and buns and cheese and everything suffers until you get this awful crap they sell now.

Remember when Carl's jr had the six dollar burger for 2.99? It was as good as a six dollar burger in a restaurant! SIX DOLLARS!

281 Burger Chef had the best Fish Sandwiches.

I worked at BK long ago and far away.

The Flame-Broiling Conveyer Belt was interesting.

But, they used to have us cook up a bunch of burgers before mealtimes, stick them in buns then load them into a YUGE steam cabinet.

No one who came early ever got a freshly cooked hamburger.

The steam cabinet was over-steamy though. It converted the buns into bread soup about an hour into mealtimes.

282 BK burgers are convenient on a low-carb diet. I order double cheeseburgers plain and they conveniently put the cheese between the two patties, so when I toss the buns there's no mess and I don't lose any cheese.

And you have to pre-cook fries or fry them at two temperatures to get the proper results. The interior doesn't cook enough if you fry them just in one pass. You have to either braise them, soak them, or fry them at lower temp a bit longer then higher to get the outside crispy.

355 Confident Prediction on the Texas Redistricting Case
- (because it's what already happened before) - the three judge Federal
Panel will decide against the State, because they're democrats and
that's what they always do, and then it will be appealed to the 5th
Circuit and they will overturn the 3 Judge Panel in favor of the State,
because that's what has happened twice already.

One of many good things about the upcoming re-election of Trump in 2020, is the many more district and appeals court judges he will appoint that have a basic understanding of and agreement to the US Constitution.

Compare to the JEF-appointed judges 2009-2016. Case closed.

It depends on corporate. Many FCs are very, very picky about who they sign a franchise agreement with. Lots of vetting, and strict about territory maps. Some are not.

The responsible ones who use that model (and I understand CFA to be one of those, by all accounts) are looking for good people who just don't have a ton of capital, and are willing to compromise.
