The Mueller report is probably circulating all around DC, frankly. That's why Collins is releasing the House transcripts on Page and Stryck, why Pelosi took a step back on impeachment and why these people are departing the Special Counsel's office.
It's also probably why McConnell fired a warning shot to Trump on the emergency declaration vote. Now that Mueller is wrapping up McConnel wants to preserve leverage over the White House by showing Trump he probably can direct enough votes to support impeachment if necessary. Posted by: Soothsayer at March 15, 2019 02:45 PM (VO0ln) +++++++++++ Basically, it is the discovery of the great lie wherein you find out that everything you know is wrong. It is a reference to the movie "The Matrix" wherein the protagonist is presented with a choice regarding his future. He can "take the blue pill," have his recent memory vanish, and go back to living his life - or he can "take the red pill" and be broken out of the simulation and shown the reality being hidden from him. Mueller's task is accomplished, essentially, because it's purpose was never to discover RUSSIAN COLLUSION in the first place.
It was part of the deep state + former Obama Admin cabal's Op to force Trump out. Or, if that didn't happen, to at least damage Trump politically and keep his approval ratings down. Or, if that didn't happen, to tie down Trump and his WH staff with so much procedural b.s. to prevent Trump from accomplishing his goals. It's been clear the Democrats are pushing the investigation is mainly just to cover up their own crimes. But if Strozk is testifying against Mueller, the best before date on that plan may have passed. Posted by: trev006 at March 15, 2019 03:15 PM (fPLS0) 248

On the topic of Mueller, I noticed some fool saying "But he can't be done, because Carter Page hasn't been indicted yet, and that's where this all started!!!"
I think one of the greatest embarrassments, and yes, "tells" of this whole circus is that they have had the entire FBI focused on Carter Page for 4 or 5 years now, and they still cannot find One Single Thing to charge him with! He never fooled around taking money from the Ukrainians and laundering it like Manafort did. He never got involved in any of the insanse stuff Roger Stone did. He never set up a fraudulent New York Taxi Medallion scam like Cohen did. And it appears that he never once lied to the FBI about anything - I've read some of the transcripts that were released, and he appears to have been very honest and open about everything he did, everywhere he went, everything he said. Sure he went to Russia to try and drum up business - he was a Private Citizen, that was LEGAL to do! Same thing with everything else they've tried to pin on him. I think Carter Page is going to end up being the embarrassing name that everyone in on the scam is going to try to airbrush out of the proceedings - because to focus on him will be to admit that the entire case was based on NOTHING from the very start. But as noted by others, it's all one big Gorelick Effect now. Disastrous failure, even with material involvement and not just proximity, is literally a non-factor for the statist cult and their racist-authoritarian political arm (Dems). It is a reference to the movie "The Matrix" wherein the protagonist is presented with a choice regarding his future. He can "take the blue pill," have his recent memory vanish, and go back to living his life - or he can "take the red pill" and be broken out of the simulation and shown the reality being hidden from him. Eh, so Beto wrote some kiddi kill fiction.
That actually practically makes him a perfect candidate for the Democratic platform of aborting children after they're born. Posted by: DamnedYankee at March 15, 2019 03:31 PM (37IEG) 321
314 This is from vague memory, so it might not be totally right.
Yuengling (a favorite of mine, especially their bottled black and tan; sadly they don't usually come west of the Mississippi) was on the verge bankruptcy. Management held a big meeting with everyone and laid it on the line. They told the workforce what was happening, and why, and made a proposal to rework the work and pension rules along with executive and compensation changes to save the company. The union tried to raise a huge stink about it and refuse, so the union workers decertified their union, went with the plan, took their lumps, and the brewery pulled through. It was all wrongthink to the greatest degree. Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at March 15, 2019 03:30 PM (I2dne) ========== Why did they go against their own interests in decertifying the union when having the union would have gotten them benefits from a bankrupt company?!?! Posted by: mikeyG at March 15, 2019 03:29 PM (LL1Be) I think it was a tragedy what happened and the guy who did it and all who planned it are evil. But I'm getting a "not enough fucks to give" vibe from a lot of people today. Posted by: JoeF. at March 15, 2019 03:32 PM (NFEMn) 324

315 My speculation has been that the Dem nominee is once again pre-chosen and it would be the Coup de Kamalas if they thought they were going to win, and a white guy if they're pretty sure they're gonna lose.
So if it's really Master Beto, feel good because even the Dems know they are done against Trump. This way on the 99.5% chance they lose, they will say it's because they nominated a white guy. Posted by: ... at March 15, 2019 03:30 PM (N/TWl) =========== With a field this large, I doubt there's any effective scale pushing. Yeah, the DNC is going to have its preferred candidate (and I can easily buy that it's Kamala), but they need to actually clear the field of everyone else so she can actually gain traction at this point, and they don't seem to be doing that. Dogs are descended from cowardly scavengers who cleaned up after the Big Cats were done feasting on their glorious kills on the plains of Africa.
Cats are descended from those Big Cats, and every once in a while you will catch a cat staring at your throat like: "Dude, I have ancestral memory of owning 6 inch incisors and the will to use them . . . " It must truly rankle the Feline Community that their relative status vis-a-vis dogs has changed so much. Posted by: Sharkman at March 15, 2019 03:34 PM (s2QJJ) 334

Of course they are leaving, Mueller did what he wanted.
This was ALL about getting Manafort. Mueller wanted to indict him when he was FBI, but the DOJ said to back off. They have now destroyed him using the 'give me the Man and I'll find the crime' power of a fully weaponized DOJ. Mueller can now finish up his probe, as its mission accomplished. Not only did he miss a gazillion shots in a row but when he finally made one he put his hands up like a participation trophy was incoming instead of shaking his head in embarrassed shame like a real player would. On Lord Demon Strzok, ya know? The guy lies.
Unless you think he was totally telling the truth when he said "we will stop him" the "we" is the "American people" and totally doesn't refer to the "insurance plan" that we are daily finding more about. Now, Page surprised the hell out of me with her candor about the DOJ, so I might suspect vanity lies from her. Posted by: Axeman at March 15, 2019 03:38 PM (vDqXW) 352

Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at March 15, 2019 03:25 PM (I2dne) It's the other way around: he got the trustee gig because he was loaded. USC doubtless put him on the board of trustees to help with shaking down other wealthy guys to donate to USC. Posted by: Deplorable Jay Guevara at March 15, 2019 03:42 PM (oRUl9) 358
