Shocker: Guy Who Shouted "Heil Hitler, Heil Trump" At a Fiddler on the Roof Performance Is Actually... An Anti-Trump Progressive Activist

Yes, everyone pretty much thought this, though many of us did not say so because we'd be yelled at by the Very Smart People Who Are Wrong About Almost Everything.

I mean, this seemed like a FALSE FLAG from the get-go, but the Very Smart People Who Are Wrong About Almost Everything yell when people say almost-certainly correct things like "This sounds much more like a MAGA parody as imagined by a febrile progressive than an actual MAGA supporter," and want Republicans to assume that they are Garbage People like their progressive Twitter Palz say and pre-emptively denounce themselves.

Even though this was all pretty obvious.

But we couldn't say so. Because, all of the yelling.

The "conservatives" who are Very Smart People Who Are Wrong About Almost Everything would call you "conspiracy theorists."

And they sure do reject conspiracy theories, except for the Michael Avenatti Got Set Up by a Rightwing Subversive Conspiracy Theory, and of course the Trump's Server Secretly Plotted Foreign Collusion With the Alfa Bank Server Conspiracy Theory.

But other than those and five to twelve other anti-Republican/anti-Trump conspiracy theories they passionately believe in, with no evidence whatsoever -- they're totes against conspiracy theories.

Or let's put it the right way: They're against all the conspiracy theories that conflict with their fervently-believed partisan dogmas, and they're passionately in favor of all the conspiracy theories that support their fervently-believed partisan dogmas.

Like I said, they're Very Smart People.

Who Are Wrong About Almost Everything.

What would Jack Dorsey do?

Since this guy was a poser, and actually Anti-Trump, I think Twitter should ban anyone who mocks this heckler. Because he was heckling for the right reason. Cultural sarcasm that was actually supposed to be critical of Trump.

Yeah, that's what Jack Dorsey would do.

Trump should troll the press with this moment. Let Acosta back in, let Acosta ask questions.... but only Acosta.

Trump should take no questions from other reporters. In fact when other reporters or Acosta complain he should say "Well I dont want a FEDERAL judge to think I wasnt giving enough time to CNN."

Let that pattern continue for a week or two. Only Acosta having the spotlight and ignoring all the other members of the press. Give them what they want and watch them devour each other with jealousy.

Posted by: Bozo Conservative....living on the prison planet at November 16, 2018 02:51 PM (vcOmj)

It is sad. I guess it's a complex 'happy' feeling.

I'm seeing a functioning society, a family that has trouble but is a family. Yes, it gets torn down and apart, gets kicked around and run out of town. But...I don't know if I can explain it. When I hear Topol talking, I'm happy. When I hear Golda finally say 'if that's not love, what is', I'm happy. Listening to the daughters sing, I'm happy.

I don't like the pogrom. And I don't like the commie bastard who shows up. And I really don't like to pogrom.

But somehow that does affect my enjoyment of the movie or my experience watching it. Maybe I'm weird.

114 Previous Patriot Prayer rallies in Portland have also been criticized for attracting members of the far-right fringe. They've included outspoken anti-Semites and Islamophobes, white nationalists and neo-Nazis.

Meanwhile, Rose City Antifa, a prominent antifascist group in Portland, has asked supporters to show up at Schrunk Plaza before the #HimToo rally begins.

Note the difference in characterizing the two groups?

142 I always look at Fiddler as a complex story. Tevye disowns his daughter over tradition, and the story makes it pretty clear why a Russian Jew must have a strong and insular culture. The alternative is death.

On the whole, though, the sheer terror of Naziism makes the "mere" expulsion look almost quaint. Which is perhaps why people focus on the more pleasant and romantic aspects of the story. Being a non-Jew, I suppose it has less significance to me even when I can enjoy the story. Or is that "but we sing in a minor key to remember that we suffered?"

Some people from 4chan got together to troll Steven Universe fans. They made "fan art" where the fat characters looked thin and the brown characters became white characters. And then there was a twist at the end: they claimed to have been a black trans woman who just wanted to make fan art, and the same people who melted down suddenly said "oh, okay, it's all right then, you go girl"

I think now that it was based on the ORIGINAL Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, forget what that was called, with David Niven and (seriously) Marlon Brando in the Steve Martin role, because the plot was different, the characters were different, and the character names were different.

Also I usually don't love musicals anyway so the singing combined with not seeing the characters I expected was just a deal-breaker.

Also the tickets were just like $30 so fuck it, easy to walk away from.

277 198 The Metric system was invented so that France could act all important and stuff.

Only the French could create a new measurement system based on powers of 10 while at the same time having having those units define the acceleration of gravity at the surface of the earth to be 9.8 m/sec^2. I mean really? Everything is based on powers of 10 and they could not jiggle the length of a meter to make the gravitational constant 10 instead of 9.8! It is a system that is useless at everything it tries to be.

Oh, and before somebody jumps down my throat first convert meters per second to kilometers per hour by multiplying or dividing only by 10. Then get back to me.

339 One crank yelling in a theater simewhere doesn't matter. For that reason, it would have been for all practical purposes a fabrication even if they link this duckhesd to Trump, which they can't. It's also why they'll never run out of material to misrepresent. It's a tiny dust particle that forms the nucleus for a rainstorm. The point isn't the dust, it's the water.

What does matter is a coordinated campaign by news outlets and 'opinion makers' claiming something like this matters deeply and is a reason to take away more freedom and safety from the public. It shows instiutitional corruption when they do that. Like when the police stand by and let activists block streets and attack individuals - institutional.

It was psychosomatic blindness. He caught Mom and StepDad murdering RealDad and they yelled at him, "you didn't see it, you didn't hear it, you won't say nothing to no one what you know is the truth.

You never heard it, not a word of it..." etc.

That forces him into a state of deaf dumb and blindness, but there's nothing physically wrong with him.

Meredith Wilson, who himself was from Iowa and never tired of defending flyover folks, considered it a tribute.

Today we might consider it a slam because the people are depicted as being naive. The city-slicker, being a crook, is more to our taste.

But note that the conman converts at the end, giving up his "sophistication" and throwing his lot in with the rubes.

So it's not a slam at all. If anything, it romanticizes the heartland.

That's my take anyway.

While my computer has no problem with them, we live out in the boonies, with very limited (WiFi Hotspot) bandwitdth, and if I'd looked at them, we'd have more than likely gone over our allowance, at a cost of about $30.00.
