The Morning Report - 11/9/18

krisnac.jpg

Good morning kids. Friday at last and there are a number of things jumping all at once and as usual, they are all interrelated into the overarching theme of America at a crossroads. And frankly, all things considered - even with the miracle that is the first two years of the Trump era - the situation is very much in doubt.

First, absolute silence in the wake of Democrat-Left sponsored and sanctioned Antifa thugs harassing the home of Tucker Carlson (with the exceptions of Alyssa Milano and Stephen Colbert, believe it or not) which is being investigated by DC cops as a potential "hate crime." This is only the latest in a long list of acts of violence and intimidation agains the political opponents of the Democrat-Left and, as stated, fully sanctioned, encouraged and applauded at the highest levels of the Democrat Party and those in the legacy media.

Second, we have the naked and shameless attempt by officials in Florida and Arizona to actually steal the gubernatorial and senatorial elections away from the GOP and put them in the win column for the Democrats. And in Georgia, the same thing though seemingly that is going to be a tougher one to steal. Is it a sick coincidence or something else that the epicenter of this insanity is Broward County? So now a recount has been ordered, despite lawsuits justifiably flying from Rick Scott, and Bill Nelson has brought in none other than a lawyer from Perkins/Coie of fraudulent Russia Pee-Pee dossier infamy. While that's happening, 2,000 miles away in Arizona, the Democrats have got the forgers burning the midnight oil to manufacture the requisite number of ballots to declare victory without forcing a runoff. And "Tank" Abrams is now withdrawing her concession so she too can somehow overthrow the will of the people, though that one might be safe, for now.

Third, we have the manufactured outrage over the President legally and with cause firing Jeff Sessionszzz and hiring Matthew Whitaker as some sort of treasonous act that must be stopped. How, pray tell (see the first section about Tucker Carlson, I guess)? It's all intended to obfuscate and create an impression of guilt surrounding the President when in fact it's the very same people accusing him of treason that have committed acts that would, in olden days, required the replacing of the guillotine blades on a daily basis because of the number of heads that would roll.

Fourth, we have hack-in-black judges blocking two Trump items, the Keystone XL Pipeline and his ending of protections for the dreamy DREAMrs. No need to expand on this. The hackery and shameless unconstitutional power-grabbing speaks for itself.

Fifth, we have an item that all things considered would have been lost in the sauce with all of this crap but is nevertheless completely indicative of the rot that has infected our politics, government and justice system. Former New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, the petty little tinplate tyrant who was a rising star in Lefty circles but was forced out because he had a penchant for slamming his warhead at helpless women (remember, there's supposedly a war on them) will face absolutely no charges for his sick misdeeds and crimes. But of course he's really sorry, mostly for getting caught. But when you're a Democrat you get a pass. Even for murder or manslaughter (see: Kennedy, Edward M.).

Yes, gentle reader. All of this in toto not only males my blood boil but it just fills me with a sense of dread for the future. And yet, there are signs that because the Dem Left is letting its freak flag fly Americans, even the young ones despite the indoctrination machine, are rejecting it or at the very least questioning and or recoiling from it. Just because it's on your TV screen doesn't mean it's happening everywhere all at once. This is because the media is, as we say in the trade "lying." 24/7/365. But on the negative side of things, if they are willing to stop at nothing to get and hold on to power, then to not challenge that by every legal means necessary and as forcefully and persistently as possible means eventually losing the nation. For good. So at the risk of repeating myself from yesterday, is what we are witnessing the desperate paroxysms of a Democrat-Left-Media complex losing its control because of President Trump's American renaissance, or is the latter just a slight delay in the inevitable loss of the republic as founded? The world wonders...

There's also a general roundup of the Midterms including the GOP electing the first Korean woman to the House from California of all places. Of course the media is falling all over themselves to cover this... up. Going quickly around the horn, we have the simultaneously bullshit and yet somewhat important story of JmJ Acosta who either is Jerry Springer with press credentials or as the media would have it a brave journalist speaking truth to power. The only reason this story is of importance is the way in which the propaganda machine will attempt to spin it, which is of course, the latter, as yet another avenue with which to delegitimize this President and more to the point all of us who support him.

Also, the administration has taken steps to redefine asylum and limit as best they can the number who can claim it (which is in reality zero) from amongst the invader caravan crawling northward, Nancy Palsi is gunning for "bipartisan" gun registration and hopefully PDT guns that down, one of the victims in yesterday's mass murder at that bar in Thousand Oaks was the niece of former Fox newsman Adam Housley and wife Tamera Mowry, interesting piece on Spain's move to the right and a Steve Bannon connection, the religion of peace, clit-clipping, beheading and homo-tossing can add vaccination as yet another Joo-plot and when people start dropping in Indonesia that too will be a Joo-plot, And of course, Louis Farrakhan continues to shoot his mouth off in Iran and rail against evil Jooz, America, white people and vaccinations. I really wish Secretary of State Pompeo would revoke this insect's passport.

Finally, and to bring much of this into perspective, today marks the 80th anniversary of what became known as "Kristallnacht." Though much of the growing persecution of the German Jews in the 1930s was either whitewashed or minimized by the press (sound familiar?), the pogrom unleashed on the pretext of a Polish Jew in Paris shooting a German ambassador touched off a night of such wanton violence that the world could no longer ignore the facts in front of their face as to the peril Germany's Jews faced. And in hindsight, it is said to be the first act in the genocide of Europe's Jews from 1939-1945.

How sadly and horribly ironic then that in the wake of the mass shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue last week that the Democrat Left drapes itself in the mantle of justice, equality and tolerance with which to bash its political opponents as racists, antisemites and bigots. Sadder still is the fact that the Democrat party has amongst its leaders Linda Sarsour, Louis Farrakhan (yes, he's one of yours), Barack Obama, Sid Blumenthal, George Soros, Al Sharpton, Andrew Gillum and on and on and on, as well as acolytes on college campuses beating up Jewish students and calling for the destruction of the state of Israel. And saddest of all, eight decades after Kristallnacht American Jews themselves that are among the loudest and most virulent anti-semites of all.

Have a great weekend.

Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.

22 I cannot for the life of me understand why, as soon as an election shows as close enough to steal, Republicans don't have teams of lawyers heading to the likely epicenters of corruption. They do this ALL THE TIME. And have been doing so approximately forever.

So why in the world have we not worked out countermeasures. I'm no fan of G W Bush, but his team at least got it on this point.

Of course there is the fact that we do know Broward County's law enforcement is as straight-up honest and efficient as humanly possible.

If you put the camera in an unobtrusive location, where a crook would overlook it in their haste, and put a micro SD card in it, it will record all detected motion for as long as they are there.

Hopefully, you could retrieve the SD card, and can also access it remotely through the ap.

Form a relatively clandestine counter-protest group. Hide all identities. Zero "social media" presence, all word of mouth.

Arrive at any Antifa action and just beat the ever loving shit out of them. "Non-lethal" weapons, of course, but hey, accidents happen.

Then disperse into the shadows afterwards. Don't use this group for ANYTHING other than beating up the mobs. Show up. Beat down. Vanish.

No identifying marks or uniforms. No ideological attachments. No protests of their own. No public utterances. Just a shadow force of anti-anti-Fa.

83 Casting Out a Man of Honor and Achievement (sorry, Heather; it doesn't make up for incompetence and/or wilfullness - jjs)

I don't see it as incompetence and willfulness. The real split is between those who see how bad things are, and those who just can't believe they are. A good example of this, with the scales falling from his eyes, is Andy McCarthy's line that "the crazies" were right and he was wrong.

There's a lot of that going around. Many of those who are called Never Trump are really in the "can't we all get along" camp. The test is whether they've abandoned their positions, or not. Those who haven't just haven't accepted the Flight 93 thesis. But I"ve noticed that there are some gradually waking up. Graham is a good example, too.

There's hope for those guys; none for the Nichols-Boot brigade.

Ah, breakfast is ready. Back soon.

Paper ballot.

Ballot scanned by reader.

Ballot retained in secure bin inside ballot reader.

Data copied to serialized flash drive.

Poll closing retains paper ballots in sealed bin.

Thumb drive (And serialized second backup thumb drive) are delivered immediately to regional collection post, with chain of custody signature card.

Early voting ends several days before election day.
This allows the gathering of all early voting results in preparation for election day.

Provisional ballots go into a locked and serialized canvas bag with a very tight metal slot at the top.
Provisional ballot are placed into the bag by the voter, and not by any official.
Provisional Ballot bag is delivered with signature custody chain as well.

Spoiled ballots are collected, retained and recorded as well.

There is absolutely no possibility of ballots being 'found' after the polls are closed.

111 Where do hundreds of thousands of votes suddenly appear from, and why aren't those voters already tallied when they arrive to vote?
__________________

The majority of votes in AZ are now cast by mail. The ballots are sent out weeks before election day, but a lot of people don't mail them in, they just drop them off at the polling place on election day.

The mail-in ballots are inside an envelope inside another envelope, which must be signed by the voter. Before the mail-ins can be counted, the signature on the inner envelope must be compared to the voter signature on file. The signature verification process takes time, and the standards for verifying signatures vary from county to county (the Republicans have complained about this for years, and it's one of the things they're suing over). In addition to verifying the signatures, the Recorder has to check to make sure the mail-in voter did not also vote in person.

The hundreds of thousands of votes that have yet to be counted in AZ are mail-in and provisional votes (somebody shows up without ID at a volling place, they get a provisional ballot; somebody shows up who is on the mail-in ballot list and says they didn't receive a mail-in ballot, they get a provisional ballot). Unfortunately, most of these votes are coming from Maricopa County, where the person in charge of the vote counting is the County Recorder, a Democrat named Adrian Fontes, who has a reputation for being both crooked and incompetent, and whose "mistakes" somehow always seem to benefit Democrats.

145 I just can't even. The news is much too depressing. Sorry, JJ.

Today is November 9. On this day in 1888, landlord Thomas Bowyer sent his rentman, "Indian Harry" to a slovenly, vermin-infested flat in London's East End called Miller's Court.

Pounding on the door and getting no answer, Indian Harry peered through the broken window, expecting to find the occupant hiding from him.

Instead, he saw the mutilated body of Mary Jane Kelly, a local prostitute who had been razored into immortality by the Whitechapel murderer known as "Jack the Ripper."

https://tinyurl.com/ybz38qwp (the body itself, so be warned).

Kelly is considered the last of the "canonical five" victims, who included Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride and Catherine Eddowes. Just as the Ripper himself, despite mountains of research, remains unknown, so Kelly herself is a shadowy figure, her real origins - and even real name - the subject of debate to this day.

I addressed her murder and that of the others in The News From Whitechapel: Jack the Ripper in 'The Daily Telegraph.'

153 The problem Scott has in broward is that he will have to challenge each individual ballot he thinks is fraudulent. The Dems can plop down 1 million ballots, and say "which are fraudulent?" Otherwise you can't disenfranchise a single voter, and throwing out all of the ballots because the lot is tainted is out of the question. The fact that they didn't report totals will never be considered. The broward election officials know this, and that is why they do this shit every election.

162 Turmoil in another Florida election: Slow counts, ballot design questions and conspiracy theories

Among the questions:

-- Why did nearly 25,000 people vote for governor but not for U.S. Senate in Broward? A common theory was that because of the way the Broward ballot was designed, with the Senate race in the left-hand column below the instructions, some voters missed the contest.

-- Why was the vote counting going so slowly? When counting resumed Thursday, tens of thousands of ballots remained to be processed, long after other counties had everything counted and results reported to the state. Broward elections chief Snipes blamed the volume of mail-in ballots, many of which were received just before the 7 p.m. deadline on Tuesday.

195 I had a thought....

Many people have asked how is it with a booming economy, people voted for Democrats? Well, we have to ask who voted for Democrats and who didn't. Dems flipped votes in upper middle class 'burbs. But that demographic was doing OK in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Things are better now, but it wasn't a yuuuuge change when Trump came in. So that voter thinks Trump is just continuing what Obama started.

On the other hand, Trump's boom has bene concentrated more in areas like mining, manufacturing, oil drilling, etc. Voters in these areas supported Trump this week since their economy was vastlly improved when Trump took over.

Posted by: Lurking Lurker at November 09, 2018 08:44 AM (6nRrz)

234 This is my first appearance on the Morning Report since the midterm election. I'm sitting here with my stomach in knots and ultimately trying to decide if I want to throw up.
I'm saddened by everything that has or is happening.
Walker losing in WI and MI electing a dem governor. These are two states that have greatly benefited by the recovering economy. Why would people want to shoot themselves in the ass by electing socialists.
I'm an Ohio resident and applaud the fact that we kept a rep governor. Knew we would never get rid of Brown, he'll die in office. However at a local level my county approved every measure that will once again raise my taxes. Told the hubby that we are moving as soon as our property tax hits $20,000. It's now pushing $18,000.
And the crap going on in FL and AZ. Sickening. Have my doubts about MT as well
I can accept the dems back in the House. Historically this is what happens. What I cannot handle is 2 years of repeated attempts to impeach PDT and any other crap they will pull. I'm seeing millions of new Spanish speaking citizens being added by concessions made to the dems to keep the government running. I hope Paul Ryan is unable to find a job as a Washington lobbyist. Absolutely did zero to help our chances of overturning history and holding the House for us. Worthless piece of shit.
The biggest disappointment is how many races were close. So many that should never have been that way. Cruz over Beto by 3! Absolutely disgusting.
Ultimately what I'm most upset about are my family members. Nephew who was born with a brain in his head who blames PDT for everything happening. Why? Because he's a doody head and not Presidential. SIL who just loved Beto. Thank God she doesn't live in TX and couldn't vote. Niece who hates PDT because he said pussy.
I haven't seen the numbers yet but I believe that all the defeats and close races are going to be based on the white woman vote. They are not serious and cannot get beyond problems with image. PDT is not Presidential and he said pussy. Have to vote against image and not support his substance. I know that PDT didn't run, but he's a Republican and the reps haven't impeached him. Cannot vote for them, have to vote for the dems.
The economy booming, who cares. Stock market gains, who cares. Unemployment low, who cares.
Trump said pussy.
I'm sick of it and am also out for awhile. Cannot take the angst of reading anything political for awhile or maybe forever.
2 predictions to make. PDT will lose if he runs in 2020. Too many stupid people who cannot get over image and cannot see substance. Second prediction is that within 20-30 years we will be a soft socialist country. Not Venezuela but on our way.
Thank God I'll be drooling into a cup and not know what's going on or dead.
Women should never have been given the vote. We're too emotional. Yep, I'm a woman. Have no problem with losing my right to vote. Willing to sacrifice it to take away the right for the other 90% of American women who are idiots.

257 From American Thinker article. Substitute "Republicans" for "Jews" and
"Democrats" for "Nazis" and it doesn't sound so far-fetched. One of
those "it could easily happen here" stories, in fact.

Since
taking power in 1933, the Nazis had tightened the existing gun control
laws. All German citizens, including Jews, were required to register
their weapons, and for every firearm purchase, they must obtain a
special permit from the authorities. In September 1935, all Jews were
stripped of German citizenship. All Jews, without exception, were
declared "untrustworthy" and deprived of most civil rights. Then,
starting in December 1935, the Jews of Germany lost the opportunity to
buy firearms and ammunition, but the Nazis had not yet executed a
widespread confiscation of the existing weapons and ammunition.

267 TGIF! I can't even with the AZ and FL shenanigans - ugh.

About this:
. . .major companies, including Amazon, IBM, Deutsche Bank, and Dow Chemical, issued a statement of solidarity "with the millions of people in America who identify as transgender, gender non-binary, or intersex," opposing "any administrative and legislative efforts to erase transgender protections through reinterpretation of existing laws and regulations."

Title IX was written under the "old" concept of biological sex = gender.

Next, the left decided biological sex *is separate* from gender. Gender is no gender identity + gender expression.

Then they decided any law, policy, etc. that referenced biological sex somehow now references their new concept of gender.

No. Trump's take is 100% right and cannot, by their own new definition of gender, erase a person's gender specifically because. . . biological sex =/= gender (gender identity + gender expression).

Really hate how the Left redefines words, THEN purposely misuses these words (using "sex" and "gender" interchangeably after insisting they are separate) and screaming people who want clarity are bigots.

Oof, that turned into a rant.
Sorry. Need more coffee.

289 Hmmm...well this makes me feel somewhat better about FL

Those 24K ballots with no Senate vote is almost all concentrated within one CD, FL-24, inside of Broward. And it looks like it was purely due to bad ballot design in FL-24 since there was no Republican candidate. Because of the the sen race was way at the bottom of the ballot, basically hidden away, unless you knew to look for it. So 24K people, just missed it.

And the reason this makes me feel better is that it means it wasn't a scan error which would produce many votes for Nelson.

It is a hollowing out of a recognizably American citizenry that ultimately reaches a point of collapse.

We need an immigration pause, de-federalization of the schools and a large initiative on the part of some wealthy Republicans/Americans to actively teach American history and values in the schools.

320 This is my first appearance on the Morning Report since the midterm election.

339 The GOP would be wise to at least pretend there is a Democrat Party ascendancy. They just lost the House and this nonsense trying to belittle and excuse the reasons for that win doesn't portend well for a good future. Read the article about Texas and look at how some of these states are changing with an influx of leeches from the northeast and California. The GOP needs to make inroads with more citizens and pursue outreach like what the Texas article suggests. Or it will be relegated to a minority.

Our biggest enemy is apathy, excuses and ignorance. We spend too much time talking about "them" and how much "they" suck, rather than why we suck and how we can do better in the battle for hearts and minds. I've never seen so many people who know intuitively and intellectually they are right, and do so little to try and convince others of that fact.

Trump didn't end or reverse the attack. It only bought us time. We would be wise to use that delay by building a stronger, more permanent base. The GOP sucks at that and RNC leadership is slipping back into an apathetic, technocrat, and therefore losing attitude.

IMHO.

Unfortunately, our side is just as bad as theirs at simply labeling people "good" or "bad". I suspect we're worse, actually.

In reality, a lot of people are good on some points, and bad on others. This was recently illustrated by Lindsay Graham.

For example, with Rubio, wimp that he is, there was never any doubt about his Kavanaugh vote. Would I like someone better in his place? Sure. But as is, he's better than many.

Many shortstops can't hit. Unless you can find someone better who can field the position, you have to live with what you can get.

402 America has dealt with worse than this election. An honest to God, bullets flying, civil war didn't take the country down. This election sure isn't gonna be the end of the republic.
The dems are melting down because they see it , all their hard work, everything they wanted is being torn apart. Smashed to dust by a human wrecking ball named President Donald Trump. Vote fraud? Please.. they've been doing that for at least a century. Violent "protesters "? Since the country was started.
Dems were highly motivated and turned out this time. Why? Because they are scared shitless of Trump. They see what he is doing, how well it's working, how much support he is getting and they want to stop it bamn. The brainwashed rank and file just go in lock step.
If these assholes had the upper hand there would be no recounts or abnormal voting in AZ, FL,or WI. And Ted Cruz would be preparing to call his self the former Senator.
Look at what Trump did the day after the election. Did he go into hiding? Nope. Did he start saying oh well, will of the people, clear mandate for Dem pet projects, give the dems what they want? Nope.
He fired an ineffectual AG. Replaced him with someone who doesn't seem impressed with Mueller, or the FBI. And big daddy Trump is still moving forward with his agenda.
I think that by the 2020 elections we will see a big difference in what happens. Trump will win in a landslide. Why? Because the dems are NOT capable of civility. They will ramp up the crazy and the media cheerleaders with put it on the main page because they believe that is what got dems elected this time. They dont realize that we were just culling the rino brigade.

And mainly found in Maricopa County, where the votes are counted by a crooked Democrat recorder named Fontes.

what i've heard is that the votes that put sinema ahead were pulled from a very left section of maricopa county. and it was a very unusual statical probability that the number could jump that way. but honestly...i have no clue. i've also heard that yuma, that went for sherrif joe in the primary....had unusually high amount of votes for sinema in the general. which makes no sense. AZ is about borders, patriotism and freedom.....if we voted for the commie....God help us.....having just been in TN....i'm ready to move

424 An honest to God, bullets flying, civil war didn't take the country down.

A) It wasn't a civil war. The Confederacy wasn't fighting to take over control of the federal government.
B) The American "Civil War" was the beginning of the end of the Republic, as it forever established the primacy of a powerful, centralized government over the individual states and made the 10th Amendment a dead letter.

The United States hasn't been a republic for roughly 150 years. We keep some of the trappings but don't function like one.

427 367 356 The problem in Arizona isn't an inordinate number of votes being found but her percentage in the early votes is way over double what election day plus earlier early votes was. This batch should have favored Sinema but not by this much. And in the McSally areas that dropped, she underperformed in all.

But weren't we told for weeks how awesome the EV was going for Rs in AZ?
Posted by: Lurking Lurker at November 09, 2018 09:17 AM (6nRrz)
----------------------------------------------------------------

GOP was doing well in the AZ early vote until the final 3 days or so. Then the Dems had a really strong finish, which is historically what happens there. Yesterday saw Bucket A of the early votes being counted, which was the Fri-Sun early votes. They were expected to be good for Sinema, but not nearly this good. For example, in Pima, a Sinema stronghold, she won election day and earlier early vote by 12%. She won yesterday's bucket by 28%! And there are still 60,000 more votes in Pima to go.

In Maricopa, where 125,000 votes dropped (with another 325,000 to come), she had a narrow lead, she tripled her percentage.

Now it's possible that Bucket A, which were all the Fri-Sun votes, came from the cities, which Sinema dominated. Today, Bucket B drops, which will be 200,000 votes from Maricopa that were turned in on election day and historically favors the Republican. We'll see if McSally gets the incredibly inflated percentage than Sinema got yesterday.

I am not as generous as you are, I wouldn't let her get away with it. I have not had any miscarriages, I have had two live births and I can't imagine any woman not wishing her babies to survive. I also cannot imagine anyone else's babies be left to die after being born alive. So Michelle does not get a pass.

440 The nation wasn't founded on "muh dubs every religion is totes OK"

Have you illiterate nostril pluggers ever read the first amendment?

"Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion or prohibited the free exercise there of..." That wasn't about being free to build a F'ING ground zero mosque.

It was about preventing a the senate from pulling a Henry VIII the establishment of a state church like the church of England to then start prosecuting Puritans.

FFS It wasn't an invitation for the Barbary Pirates to colonize Dearborn.

And let's not even start on you people completely ignore "ourselves and our posterity" b/c our posterity doesn't include Foreign Nationals who happened to give birth here.

Hell Franklin didn't think the non-violent Pennsylvania Dutch were ever gonna fully assimilate - and while they've remained non-violent they ain't exactly serving on our juries or our military are they?

And don't even get us started on those potatoing Paddy Wagoned Irish.

445 403 Missouri, W. VA, Arkansas, TN and KY voted for Bill Clinton twice. And all voted for Trump.

FDR won 46/48 states in 1936, then a 2 generations later Nixon won 49/50 states in 1972.

Things change in politics. GA and AZ are trending blue but that will be offset by other blue states trending red. Nothing in politics is static.

I have read accounts that the senator race selection in Broward was placed at the bottom of the vote ballot next to some instructions. So it may have been easy to miss. Not sure if this is true since I vote in Miami. However, I believe that that discrepancy could also be due in some cases to African Americans voting for Gollum only.
