A Little Background: I personally know a former CNN contributor who was told by Jake Tapper, He Who Makes Wives of Weak, Effeminate Men, that this person was "burning bridges" by frequently criticizing CNN (or the media in general, which implicitly includes CNN, given its among the worst offenders).

The suggestion seemed to be -- and it was just a suggestion; it wasn't explicit -- was that this person would have more frequent CNN appearances if the media criticism were more tempered and more... rare.

So when you see people lining up to defend CNN and you're wondering, "Why would they do that?," remember, you might just get told you're "burning bridges" with CNN if you don't toe their preferred corporate line.

And remember, some of these people don't really have such a bright future in conservative media any longer.

Lewandowski was protecting his protect from an unknown threat who ran up and grabbed Trump. Force level was appropriate, if not reserved.

Accoster was protecting his microphone, which is an extension of his ego. While it is understandable, in the way that you understand a child lashes out when they think you will take away the precious, the level of appropriate force here is zero.

Indeed there is. Got the transmission out, and mostly torn down. Direct drive clutch was pooched. The rubber sealing ring on the piston is hard, and chunks of it are gone, so, "sealing" was no longer being done. And the clutch frictions and steel plates are worn out, and the clutch drum burned black.

So a complete overhaul of the tranny is in order. Most of the other rubber seals are pretty crisp, too.

Oh no, he's got the spot. The thing is, he doesn't really need an audience; his backers are basically paying the radio station to run the show. He's largely immune from ratings or advertiser pressure -- it's not the same exactly as four-walling it, where you just rent the radio space, but I think his donors are basically guaranteeing that all ad space will be sold OR they'll buy it themselves.

This reminds me of how they would refer to Ford's allegation as "sexual assault". Technically true, but normally when you hear that term it means something ELSE that's much worse.

Similarly, when you're talking about "laying hand to a woman", or "wrestling", it normally means smacking her around, or pushing her to the floor or against the wall, or something sexual.

This just smacks of the jerky Michelle Fields bit to me, regarding the intern. If you want to go with "what's good for the goose..." stuff, fine. But there's also such a thing as complaining about somebody else doing something, and then doing it yourself.

So I agree with Shapiro - for once. It's about f-ing time they tossed Acosta out of there for bad behavior, but it doesn't have anything to do with the intern being female, or his having touched her on the arm. The White House is jump jumping on that as a lame excuse to finally do the right thing.
