Many are saying the intern assaulted Acosta, and his contact with her is incidental.
The rest are saying Acosta clearly chopped down with his left hand on her arm, while pulling the microphone toward his chest and angling his torso away from the young woman.
Obviously Acosta chopped down on her arm. Why else would her elbow have bent? Acosta pulls the microphone away at the same time she gripped it. If the intern's arm had not been chopped at, her arm would have STRAIGHTENED not bent.

Simple assault in most states has a similar definition.
So, yeah, I think it's possible Acosta could be charged.
Again, I've seen men charged for about the same amount of contact in domestic violence situations.

I am with you on this. Sessions should have recognised that the "investigation" was a political witch-hunt with no substance early on - in fact, he did recognise this. But he hung on anyway.

The job of a press corp correspondent is to ask a question, receive an answer, and if clarification is needed, ask for clarification. The rest of the corps is there for redundancy, because nobody in their right mind ever trusted a reporter to report what was said accurately.

No question about that. I used to think that left space for other companies to compete, like Fox did in broadcasting, but the big tech companies have enough control over the media they can browbeat hosting providers and payment processors to prevent that from happening.
You can't run a commercial site without a hosting provider and a payment processor. You might be able to do your own hosting at a large extra cost, but the banking will kill you anyway.

Ever since Helen Thomas I have felt that the reporters feel they are panjandrums who own the briefings.
I have long felt that the reporters there should be issued a three month pass that is renewable once every two years. Let the big names go do important things and let the newbies cover the easy stuff like asking questions assembled by their superiors and writing down the answers. Maybe some real talent will show up in the room.
