The Judiciary Committee has now released its report on the so-called Kavanaugh rape claim. As we already knew it was a pack of lies. And Grassley wants the FBI to 'investigate' the liars for perjury. Evidently every Democrat on the committee is opposed to charging them with criminal contempt charges.

My uncle's table has a adjustable fence using through bolts and wing nuts underneath. You need a adjustable fence to set depth of cuts. So on table cut in the router base plate, have slots running outside a distance that a fence can be adjusted from center of chuck at least a few inches to cover any bit you might have. A raised panel bit can be couple of inches in diameter. Posted by: Skip at November 04, 2018 07:06 AM (T4oHT) 34

Due to early shift at work will miss the Book Thread. So far gotten about 5,700 words of NaNoWriMo story written. We got a cool rogue of a starship captain who is smarter and better dressed than a Nerf herder. A very very hot product he's trying to unload, he is ably abetted by his first mate who can actually talk in English instead of grunts and roars. Along with explosions and buildings collapsing which causes them to pick up a new junior member. Just to complicate things further, have decided to add the odd POV scene from those trying to get the cargo, two MIB types who are competent and somewhat inspired by those sociopaths James Bond had to kick overboard in Diamonds Are Forever. 75 Nothing in politics pisses me off more than the 'alt-right' definition used by Leftists and some others. Americans are bad enough at this, Europeans are worse.
Because the Europeans and the US-Left can only think in terms of Left v Right since they are godless and can't possibly understand the vertical access that connects the transcendent to the temporal. Stated another way: They don't understand and are incapable of understanding spiritual values that transcend the petty fecklessness or man. Examples: they are incapable of understanding large 'R' Rights. They can only think of Rights as a synonym of Privilege. The ideas of Life, Liberyty, Duty and Honor are so foreign that they either don't use the words, or have decontsructed them to have absolutely no value. Thus the Anglosphere, which This is why we can't discuss Rights, Life, Liberty or any other basic Principle with them. Its a language they can never know. 101 ...Agree. I would like to have a childrens section, like back in the days when they had a smoking section.
Went to a TexMex restaurant a little while back to enjoy the perfect weather on the patio. The place was overrun with kids. Many of them running full speed through the place and zipping through the patio area. When the manager of Mesa Rosa in Round Rock, TX came by and asked how the meal was, I thanked him for having what must be the perfect example of a family restaurant. They added a huge playground sort of like a much larger version of McDonald's playland on some of their property, the patio was large and not jam-packed with tables so that the kids running through were not in danger of colliding with other patrons. The parents could be at ease with their adult beverages and be able to have adult conversations as the kids would come running up to the table, take a couple bites of food, then dart off back to the play area. This is MUCH preferable to every other place where the kids are stationed at the table and are expected/required to contain their energy (which most often they fail to do) during the extent of dinner. So they figured it out. The kids could be kids, the adults could be adults, and those of us who don't have kids can enjoy our meals with the ambiance of abundantly joyful children just being kids rather than pretending to be adults at a dinner table for an hour. Posted by: Misanthropic Humanitarian at November 04, 2018 07:39 AM (aA3+G) ------------------------------- That actually happens quite a bit around here. Back in the day of VHS and recording shows off TV, I was watching a show that I had taped the previous night. Turns out I had also taped part of the news that followed the show. *goes to back to pour another cup of coffee* 😼 Posted by: mindful webworker's fluffy little killers at November 04, 2018 08:05 AM (UMVUI) Makes me wonder, are domesticated cats losing their ability to scarf down animals, fur, feathers and all? Are they becoming softies like us? I heard somewhere that we can no longer survive on an all raw diet after millennia of cooking. Meanwhile, lions at the zoo - they just toss them a whole raw chicken. Apparently they can beat the crap out of the salmonella. We are such wimps. You are still in man-to man coverage. The third kid goes into zone defense. Unfortunately, the little buggers are the world's sharpest offensive coordinators. Ours figured out the kid's version of the West Coast Offense and regularly hit the seams and checked off from the primary to secondary receiver. Executed correctly it is virtually unstoppable. We concluded that the ONLY solution was to disrupt the Munchkin attack with a withering parental bull rush before the play could set up. I have discovered that having 2 kids is somehow more than twice the work.
It's a discovery that is spiritually pretty much 180 degrees from what you'd call a "eureka moment". Welp, I was going to recommend a book from wayback when in 1989-90 called, (I believe) "The First Two Years of Life" (and no, it's not the Dr Spock piece of garbage). The title may not be exactly right cuz I can't find it on amazon. But, for me it's the Greatest Baby Book Evah!!!! It doesn't tell you how to raise your baby at all. The book is simply a state of the art(for the time) explanation/telling of the various sensitive times and times you can expect for your baby's intellectual/neurological growth and changes. Man, is it fun to watch as the "switches" click on. Even from one day to the next sometimes. Makes the whole of the baby experience a series of "eureka" moments. I've been riding bikes my whole life. Used an overbuilt Schwinn to do my paper route; messed around on BMX, and I raced road bikes in college and beyond. All through my 40's and early 50's I did triathlons, Tuesday night critertiums, and some crazy ultra stuff. (I did the Triple Bypass in CO twice: 120 miles, crossing three mountain passes, with Loveland being the highest.) I've been hit 3 times by cars, and in the last race I was in, a guy got killed. Also, I'm not sanctimonious, I never bike-commuted, mostly b/c it's totally impractical.
I've had to hang up my cletes and Lycra the last 18 months, though. Reason? F'ing cell phones and distracted drivers. Anyone want to buy some bikes? Posted by: Brave Sir Robin, scanning the horizon for the Crimson Tide at November 04, 2018 08:53 AM (ty7RM) 305
We've regressed to hieroglyphics!

The boy and I are renting a cabin here in a couple of weeks for a bit of a respite. Anyway...I will be driving 4 hours EASTward, and I will be going from Eastern time zone to Central time zone. Obama was always the heavy favorite going in to that final Tuesday. He led in every media poll and his internals showed him comfortably ahead. But Romney's pollster was one of the worst of all time. They had him convinced he was a shoe-in and would win the battleground states. 2012 was an awful year where GOP partisans were "unskewing the polls" to make themselves feel better and give a false sense of hope. I had the opposite revelation. Going from one kid to two kids was an absolute cake walk compared to going from zero kids to one. But baby #1 was high needs and didn't sleep through the night for years while baby #2 was easy-going and predictable.
There was more laundry, but that was about it. Plus toddlers love to fetch things. "Hey, kid #1, bring me the wipes box..." By the time kid #3 comes along, kid #1 can dress self and entertain the baby for short periods of time. And you now have two potential fetchers instead of one.
