A brief panorama of the Left today:

Look at that mama, she got it stickin' in the camera, man
We could have some
And he's up there, what's that? Hawaiian noises?
Bangin' on the bongos like a chimpanzee
That ain't workin', that's the way you do it
Get your money for nothin', get your chicks for free.

1 Good Morning Morons; today is Saturday, October 13, 2018. On this day in 1307 hundreds of Knights Templar in France were simultaneously arrested by agents of King Phillips, to be later tortured into a "confession" of heresy. The only thing they were guilty of was being owed a metric shit-ton of money by the king which he could not repay. A lot of people say this is the origin of the 'Friday 13th bad luck saying'.

U.S. Democratic Senate hopeful Kyrsten Sinema said I don't care if people go and fight for the Taliban in Afghanistan in a newly resurfaced radio interview and co-hosted a radio show with a conspiracy theorist who claimed the September 11, 2001 terror attacks were perpetrated by the government, Fox News can reveal.

I don't see how this idiot could be elected in a purple State that AZ has become. But, then again, ex-CA Democrats are not known for their sanity either.

It got old in a hurry because of overplay, and was not a typical DS song (Telegraph Road from Love Over Gold was their peak), but it was an iconic MTV video back in the day when there were such things. And the back-up vocals by Sting are very good.

I can also connect to the receiver with my cell phone. Highly recommended. Updating old technology with new extremely reasonably priced technology is fun.

There seems to be a tutorial for everything nowadays. I bought a Bluetooth/wifi printer a couple weeks back. No worthwhile documentation came with it. I finally bluffed my way through and got it to work, but really slowly.

Aggravated, a couple days later I punched in my operating system and printer number in Bing -- and sure enough someone had three step procedure. It works great now.

It was a menu item for selection on the sound menu. It should have been just like selecting anything else. It just would not do anything when I clicked on it. What I have now with the separate transmitter works fine. I use the receiver plugged into the front of my stereo and the transmitter plugged into the output of my computer sound card.

My Bluetooth speaker was able to attach right away but it took multiple attempts to get that new receiver to attach. Bluetooth is supposed to be able to handle sending signals to 7 separate receivers. I am only running two now, if I get a pair of head phones that will make three and it will be all I need.

82 one reason some suggested for Hillary maybe cancelling her own clearance, was that it gets reviewed every five years, and she was just avoiding any excuse they would have to delve into her background.

idk, that might make sense, but they have so much on her, they are already (we hope) investigating her massive frauds, plus all the exposure (or sale from the grifter) of much more than sources and methods, which she left open to our enemies.

Is it standard procedure for a former SoS to have their Security Clearance revoked/surrendered at this point in their life?

Or is this an out of the norm event?

While I agree he's a nasshole, I don't really get the point about not voting in a deep blue state. Why should he (or anyone)? It's a bit different, but I voted for John Warner once, only. After that, I wrote in Robert Bork every time he ran again. Obviously, if there'd been a decent viable alternative, I wouldn't have done that.

Admittedly it's lower stakes, but when he was at UVa, Larry Sabato was almost beaten for Student Council by Speedy the Hamster. (This is true.)

PS: Liberal Fascism, while it has its points, is overrated. And one reason is his very simplistic and limited notion of ideologies. He's an inveterate simplifier, or "lumper" as it's often called.

OK, what little I knew about polling is mostly forgotten, and probably obsolete anyway. But I keep seeing these stories about how the generic ballot gap is vanishing. But how can it always be down from, say, 12 to 2, if I read the virtually the same thing two weeks before.

The only way that works is if it's seesawing, and our side isn't reporting when the D's go back up.

210 Guten morgen, Horden.

Home repair gurus, I got the answer to what is underneath the tile yesterday. I managed to pry one up without breaking it. Found that the tiles are laid directly on the concrete slab with some sort of flexible adhesive between the two. But the tiles weren't glued down across the full bottom. There's a dab of adhesive on each of the four bottom corners of a tile and that's it.

For those of you who figured out it's a moisture problem, it would appear you're right. As it continues to rain (finally) the floor seems to be evening out a bit.

that's one of the reasons you should have a harmonica handy

251 209 I don't have a good architectural design in our

living room to run speaker wire, and I've decided that's my only choice.

But no one decent seems to offer it even though the technology seems

to be fairly mature.

OK, you are not looking for a way to get from source to amp. You are looking for a way to get to speakers w/o wires. That is a lot more complicated. You can get bluetooth speakers like the one I have but they are small. what you would need is a bluetooth enabled monaural amp for each speaker and then a transmitter for each channel. Likely to get messy.

252 Did you ever get that one armadillo murdered like you wanted to?

Posted by: hogmartin at October 13, 2018 08:31 AM (y87Qq)

My neighbor got him last week. We seems to be making a dent in the armadillo population. And deer season is upon us, so maybe my roses will survive.

Will you vote for him, anyway?

Yes, but I don't think he helped his chances any. He came across as a hothead and gave the Democrat incumbent an opportunity to sound like the calm voice of reason.

This is at a time when more and more people are beginning to notice that the Democrats tend to excuse or encourage political violence. I think it was an own goal.

254 Bring a harmonica?
A, as in 1, harmonica?
Oh no, no, no, no. That will never do.

Be unzipping my 5 pack (A, C, D, E & G ) this afternoon for a winery gig.
And 70's Zildjians got a cleaning this morning. Shiny.

Can I get a canoe instead?

256 How did Christians become the funniest people on the planet? Or has Christian comedy always been a thing and I've just been clueless?

A link here led me to John Crist, and I spent a couple of hours the other day watching his videos, which were hilarious, especially Christian Mingle Inspector, and of course, there is The Babylon Bee.

I looked up John Crist's tour dates, but alas, the closest he gets to me is Peoria which is not close at all. But I will definitely keep an eye out for tickets in the future.

257 Arizona is purple because the state has been, and continues to be, overrun by "former Californians," who come here because of the benefits of living in Arizona and who bring their crazy-California political notions with them. It won't be long before Arizona is a screwed up as the Golden State (which ain't so golden anymore). . .
