If The FBI Is Investigating These Allegations, They Absolutely Must Investigate Ford's Credibility

Questions that must be asked of Ford, and her lawyers, and Democrats -- under oath.

1. Democratic staffers, particularly those of Diane Feinstein, must be asked under oath and under penalty of felony if they leaked Ford's name and/or her letter to friendlies in the media.

2. Ford must be asked, under oath, which therapist notes she gave to the Washington Post. She was asked this yesterday, but suffered one of her notorious memory lapses and said she didn't know and would have to ask her lawyers. Which she then proceeded to not ask them.

3. Obviously, any time she claims she doesn't know and that only her lawyers would know, her lawyers must be asked under oath.

Her lawyers, by the way, cannot invoke lawyer-client privilege regarding notes they gave to a third party. Information given to a third party is not a confidential lawyer-client communication and not shielded by privilege.

There is no such thing as "Lawyer-Feinstein privilege," and Ford's political operators with legal licenses should not be permitted to invent one.

4. Her therapist's notes must be taken up by the FBI. Literally nobody in America believes that Ford and her husband were at a marriage counselor about a disagreement about adding a second door to the house.

What were they really in therapy for? People have been known to lie in therapy if it's needed to keep themselves out of trouble from their spouse.

5. Why did she lie when she claimed she could not fly? Did her lawyers tell her to say that? The parties can invoke privilege here, but their invocation of privilege -- refusing to answer questions in an investigation they demanded -- should be noted and publicized.

6. Did her lawyers inform her that Republicans had offered to fly to California or did they hide that from her? Or did they just tell her to lie about it?

7. All correspondence between her lawyers and Diane Feinstein and other Democrats must be submitted to the FBI. We suspect coordination, and if there's going to be an investigation, we want it all investigated.

8. Her personal polygraphologist must explain how he conducted the test, how long he took to prep her, etc.

And who paid him. And whether or not a certain result was expected.

9. And a big one -- how many other people has Ford accused of sexual harassment or assault? Perhaps this is her first and only time. If so, that adds to her credibility.

But if she has a history of making claims -- that detracts from it.

As with the "Adding up the number of accusers" metric some idiots have adopted-- it's true, generally, the more independent accusers lodge charges at someone, the more likely they are to be guilty.

That's true -- outside a political contest, where accusers are not independent but may in fact be inter-dependent, united in a common political cause and sharing a common motivation to lie.

But just as in non-political circumstances multiple accusers claiming one man assaulted them tends to suggest they're making genuine allegations, one person making accusations against multiple alleged assailants tends to suggest that person is probably not a real victim, but a serial accuser.

If five women accuse a man: That man is probably guilty, absent strong evidence to the contrary.

If one woman accuses five different men for five different incidents: that woman is probably delusional or a fabulist, absent strong evidence to the contrary.

Note that the Democrats never claimed "And this is the first time Ford has ever made this type of accusation!"

Were that the case, I would imagine they would have shot that arrow from their quiver.

But the did not shoot that arrow from their quiver.

So I assume, tentatively, that that arrow is not in their quiver.

I would like to know if she made other allegations, who she reported them to, and what the final disposition was in any investigations into any prior allegations.

Question 10 to Round It Out: Commenters are saying: She should be made to recover/reveal her deleted/nuked social media accounts.

There was a reason her Political Operatives With Legal Licenses bleach bitted them. It's time to see what she's been saying for the past decade.

The Democrats demanded a full investigation -- it's time to have one.

Shock: Ford's Political Operators With Legal Licenses Demand that Investigation Have No Time Limit, So It Could, Get This, Run Past the Mid-Terms.

Who could have seen this Plot Twist coming?

But there ain't no way, no how, there's gonna be an unaltered 302 released to the public or to prosecutors, that implicates a Democrat for anything. Not in this case or in any other, for as long they're an agency.

This is an extremely entitled white girl --

Further, I am in no way the poster boy for people who have experienced trauma. I have led an extremely lucky life in that regard. 169 All good questions, none of which will be answered.

FBI will rubber stamp whatever was put on record by the Judiciary committee this week. Both sides will find excuses to avoid cooperating in any meaningful search for new information.

I believe Democrats threaten to walk out of the final floor vote. Flake and friends got spooked and decided they had to play along to spare the country a more traumatic ordeal.

Democratic senators running for president in 2020 can't be seen showing any weakness or the progressive base will burn everyone alive.

It's a mess, and honestly, I don't think there's any escape from whatever explosion will results from either Kavanaugh's rejection or confirmation.

The Dems were too cute by half - they refused to sit in on the sessions when the other people Ford mentioned gave their sworn statements, so they can "credibly" deny knowing about their existence.

Doubtful.

The letter likely appeared in a few carefully chosen email inboxes anonymously.

Feinstein's staff then confirmed the contents of the letter after the fact and off the record.

Even if they can trace things back to Heather Sawyer, she can't be connected to the original leak, and worst case scenario, she can take the political fall by admitting her role in confirmation without legal jeopardy.

And it shields publications like the Intercept who can later deny charges against specific leakers for mutual benefit.

Watched it and loved it. Great old school style family comedy show.

Season one oldest daughter got swapped out with a more liberal one in season 2. First ep with her is one on voting and she's overly annoying. But she grew on my and I like the conservative dad raised her to be strong and independent thinking, even if he disagrees. They have fun bantering about politics. The times when her boneheaded lib bf/husband and Mike actually agree, and try to work around her on something, are hilarious.

Middle daughter's actress is an amazing comedienne. She is on a diff show and so they couldn't get her for the new season. I am bummed. But you can enjoy her on the old eps.

Youngest daughter I adore to death, and the mom. The whole cast gelled so well. SO grateful it's returning, I missed them.

582 Lots of fun and great training in how to fight a mob...

That's where psychology and morale has to come in. If you get too many to defeat, you make sure you intimidate enough that you can survive the rest.

I loved a video I saw, I don't know if it was staged or what. Two guys square off yelling at each other, its going to come to blows. Smaller guy rips his shirt over his head, classic intimidation move. Then he pulls off his pants. Then his underwear. He's buck ass nude and the other guy backs off "you know I didn't really wanna fight anyway"

Most of a mob is there as part of the mob rather than really intent on harm or action. Take out the most dangerous guys the leaders and the ones who are giving the mob its energy and intimidate the rest, you might walk away.

598 My theory on the delay game:

Trump is ready to release docs. Big time. But he doesn't want to fight a two-front war. He knows that if he pushes THAT button, a true s**t-storm hits and even HE can't know the outcome. He wants Kavanaugh in first. The Dems (and some 'pubs) are willing to fight to the death against that. Or at least delay it until after the midterms. K ain't gonna make it. Which makes me angrier than I've been possibly in my whole life.

605 At this point, Trump's best move would be to:
1) withdraw Kavanaugh
2) restart with Amy Coney Barrett
3) release declassified documents
4) do a 2 hour presentation to the nation on prime time
5) kick the shit out of the Dems in November
6) confirm Barrett
7) when RBG kacks, resubmit Kavanaugh and shove him the f*** down their scumbag throats

Start the process. This SCOTUS term will likely lost to a 4-4 court anyway. This will drag out more than a week or two. Also, the election centers directly on what the Dems did to BK--as well as what they did to Trump. AND: change the Senate confirmation rules. Affidavits only-->no hearings-->vote

613 Further as to point 4, since she has already brought confidential records into the matter, ALL of her prior therapy sessions should be open game. What did she say about this in 1990? 2000? etc. Did she mention it? Did she have a different recollection? Did she name another person?

Posted by: Casey M at September 28, 2018 08:29 PM (LGCw9)

614 One other thing...at least it's what I'd do: find some of her students/former students and see how virulently she talks about Mr. Trump, and especially about his judicial nominees, in the classroom.

615 One other very important question that should be asked:
Do you now, or have you ever, used any drugs or pharmaceuticals that could impair memory or judgement.

Posted by: Madcat at September 29, 2018 12:59 AM (4QN1g)

616 Another line of questioning that I believe is important. Ford says the event affected her entire life and traumatized her. If that is true - why did she need a therapist to recover her "repressed memories"? And what other victim of trauma do YOU know who does not remember every little detail of the event? If it traumatized her at the time so much - why did she simply forget all those details such as where it happened and WHEN most importantly?????

Posted by: John Galted at September 29, 2018 11:27 AM (Q+CDZ)

617 Madcat - they did ask her about drugs and she denied ever using any - which I am SURE is a big fat lie. Subpoena medical records for Ford - should be very revealing unless THEY SCRUBBED THOSE TOO

618 It appears she lied on oath about her professional qualifications: https://tinyurl.com/ydhh7lxx

Posted by: Kevin at September 29, 2018 11:49 AM (PWNuK)

619 There actually is one explanation that fills in many of the suspicious gaps in Ford's testimony.
She may have willingly engaged in an encounter at a gathering with someone(s) only to decide the next day after she returned home that she thought it was wrong. Obviously, saying an encounter of the type described happened and then returning to the party, that the boys(s) later took her home, would not cast her in a great light. But reports have vaguely indicated she was a drinker and boy crazy herself, based on her yearbook entries.

If you had what you thought was a meaningful encounter with a boy you liked--maybe went farther than you typically did, in fact, only to discover days later that he cast you aside and didn't even acknowledge you...might you conclude that it was a traumatic experience?
I am not saying Kavanaugh was the guy, but that given her mental state she could project that upon that entire group of boys.

Posted by: CausticConservative at September 29, 2018 02:10 PM (1v3by)

620 1. how did you get to the party in question?
2. what colors were any of the walls that you remember seeing in the house? Was there wallpaper? wood paneling? what about the carpet? what color and type?
3. Did you know that the judiciary committee was told that you had a fear of flying?
4. Did you have a favorite outfit from the 80s that you remember?
5. did you or did you not get any kind of letter correspondence from Congress about the offer to have someone come from the committee to you?
6. what kind of technique was used by the therapist to bring back the memories of that night? without getting into detail, do you remember the topic you spoke about before bringing up the night of the party?
7. would you recognize Mr. Kavanaugh's or Mr. judge's laughter if you heard it today? What do you think your reaction would be?
8. why is it that you brought this up now, and not before when Mr. Kavanaugh was going to another level of the court system.
9. How many places have you stayed at since your name came out in public?
10. who has had access to your email or mail from the USPS since your name was made public?
11. what was the name of the hotel where you had the polygraph?
12. Where did you stay in Hawaii on your vacation?
13. how many hours did you spend to prepare for the hearing?
14. how many other sessions did you spend with your therapist to make these memories a bit more solid in detail?

I will not question about her repressed memories needing to be brought out with a therapist. I know of that happening, and why, and the effects of it. That isn't the question. The question is why can't she remember such details of such of a horrific event after going through memory restoration with her therapist. why she would approach someone who did that to her, or how she could if she insisted that Kavanaugh wasn't in the room with her at the hearing.

Posted by: John Prill at September 29, 2018 03:26 PM (PUpNZ)

621 1. Have you ever felt remorse for leaving your 15 year old friend alone at night in a strange house with 3 young men 2 of whom just tried to rape you and who you thought might be capable of murder?
2.Why did you not go to the next door neighbors or call the police to help her?
3. Did Ms Versey never ask you what happened that night when you disappeared without a word?
4. Based on your professional experience as a psychologist do you find that odd for two 15 year old girls never to speak of such an unusual occurence?

Posted by: Steve W at September 29, 2018 08:18 PM (T4SnQ)

622 What was the nature of Ford's marriage therapy--was it regression hypnotherapy? Patients acquire sincerely held false memories of a childhood traumatic event or even past lives as a famous person or an animal from these sessions. The legitimate purpose of regression hypnotherapy is to create a bogeyman that can be blamed for current marriage problems--a real tangible cause that can be addressed and overcome. But those false memories are not necessarily a reliable account of what happened in reality. Maybe that's why Ford did not share the incident prior to the therapy--the false memory was not yet created. She may think that the memory was simply "repressed." The FBI needs to investigate Ford and Ford's therapist.

623 Just read a interesting article on RCP, It seems Dr. Ford's story about the added front Door was a Total Lie, she installed to door so the rooms she added to her Home would have a Private entrance and she could RENT IT OUT for MORE MONEY. The article listed the name of a Psychologist that used that same address for her Office. Do I see a Perjury charge coming???

Posted by: jim aaron at October 02, 2018 09:32 AM (jfMd2)

624 Thank you for the original article with which I agree completely. There should never have been an Congressional inquiry as Ford never filed a criminal complaint with regard to this matter. The Kavanaugh The right to question the accuser is fundamental to American Constitutional law. Further the inquiry, itself, violates the following accepted norms of American law:American legal tradition by raising questions regarding their
assumptions about the law, including: 1.That law is properly objective
and thus must have recourse to objective rules or understandings at some
level. 2.That law is properly impartial especially in that it is not to
be tainted by the personal experience of any of its practitioners
particularly judges. 3.That equality must function as a formal notion
rather than as a substantive one such that, in the eyes of the law,
difference must be shown to be "relevant" in order to be
admissible/visible. 4. That law, when working properly, should be
certain; and, that the goal of lawmaking and legal decision-making is to
gain certainty. 5.. That justice can be understood as a matter of
procedures such that a proper following of procedures can be understood
as sufficient to rendering justice.
