4 Fox News finally says it on a title link to a video. And they don't actually say it is just a delaying tactic, they quote a congressman from AZ who says it. Too bad I can't view Fox videos.

You can lay it at the feet of DIABLO Flake and his like who just can not get away without one more stab in the back. And, as Ace said yesterday, he will take a powder on the vote anyway. How do assholes like this get on committees of importance? Blame that on Republican leadership. If I was in one of those positions DIABLOs like Flake would be on no important committees. If he was on any, it would be the committee that decides how often congressional trashcans are emptied. But that may be too important for him as well.

That quote I posted was not in the headline. It was from the actual article at Fox News. And I'll believe Fox News over CNN any day of the week. And the lawyer's statement, if true, may just be another indication that she is foot dragging again and has no intention of EVER attending a meeting.

176 Flake, Collins, Murk each held the threat of switching parties - which I think would have resulted in a 50/50 Senate - so playing hardball on committees carried a real risk.

If Turtle manages to get 2 conservatives onto the SC with the roster he has, I'll give him some credit for that accomplishment.

One of these delivery men opened my front door and stuck his head in when I didn't answer his knock fast enough. (I usually keep the door locked, occasionally I forget. That won't happen again.) My berner was going batsh*t crazy barking. After the driver gave me the package I looked out the window to see which delivery service so I could file a complaint but he was in an unmarked white van. Creepy.

Yep. when I bought this car it was sitting in front of the dealership with "$10,995" in big numbers on the windows. It was there 'loss leader" to get people in so they can then try to upsell them. They couldn't believe I wanted that car. Then when I said I wanted to trade in a 12 year old Equinox they really didn't like me. I ended up driving off the lot for about $11K including taxes and everything.

Flake has already said there should be a vote tomorrow. He is not going to vote against Kavanaugh.

342 Whaaaaaaaa? Hearing moves to Thurs?
But I was told last night that it was 100% staying on dlfor Monday since the calendar was still saying Monday. Only trolls said otherwise.

343 Oh, I think Flake is finally doing the right thing. He's floating out his "present" vote. That puts the the vulnerable democrats in an awkward position. I don't think Flake has any intention to submarine the nomination vote. But, now the nomination hinges on the Manchin's, McCaskils etc.

Manchin will vote no due to massive pressure from his side to take one for the team for "the greater good." Then, oops, Flake votes yes...and poor Joe takes it on the chin. McCaskill said she will vote no no matter what.

344 RINOs will not vote against K now that the final "witness" female (friend) of Ford's sided with Kav.

345 NBC poll has bad news for Dems.

No blue wave. And MEN are more interested than women?

I would never had expected her to vote yes. She voted no on Gorsuch too. There were only 3 commiecrats who voted for Gorsuch unlike the Republicans who voted for RBG. Only 3 Republicans voted against her. At the time they thought she was a "moderate".

347 I really need to get a tablet. Can't access the 326 link. Assuming bad news for Ballsey.

Don't you ever get tired of being wrong... there is no hearing scheduled for Thursday and I will be surprised if the hearing scheduled for Wednesday actually happens.

Posted by: redbanzai the Southerner at September 23, 2018 11:57 AM (FTXAT)

349 Yeah there's no Thursday hearing. It's 'tentative'.

Posted by: HA at September 23, 2018 11:50 AM (MAstk)

She said she never even met Kav. Edsel's lawyer is saying that her denying ever being at such a party and never having met Kav does not prove anything because she was not nearly raped and therefore would have no reason to remember.

Thing is, and falsely assuming that there is any truth in Edsel's claim, four or five people at a gathering hanging out for hours indicates friends hanging out. This chick would not be saying she never even met Kav if she had ever hung out with him in that manner.

It is not even tentative... it was a demand from Edsel's lawyer that the committee already turned down.

Ford's atty 4 days ago: You need to intrvw and get statements from Ford's female friend that has knowledge.

Ford's atty yesterday- NO BIGGIE! We don't expect her to remember stuff.

uh huh

Interesting factoid... the other chick named by Edsel is Bob Beckel's ex-wife.

Posted by: redbanzai the Southerner at September 23, 2018 12:09 PM (FTXAT)

354 351. It's hard to keep up. At this point I can only rely on my spidey sense that tells me this coming seven days will be a Bad Week for Ballsey.

Look for integrity free Democrats (which is most Democrats and all of the press) to offer increasingly more hysterical defenses of Edsel.

As an example, see WP flat out lie that the other woman that was at the party "believes Ford is telling the truth even though she doesn't remember being at the party".

Nowhere in her letter to the committee does this chick show even the slights support for or belief in Edsel.

357 I have never actually desired to be wealthy until this incident...

If I had millions of dollars sitting in the bank with which to hire attorneys, bribe 'witnesses,' etc., then one of Ford's sons would be spending this Christmas fighting a rape accusation.

Posted by: Yudhishthira's Dice at September 23, 2018 12:50 PM (5aX2M)

358 Okay, here's a scenario I bet no one is thinking about:

In the committee hearing (if she appears), she suddenly remembers all of it differently. She needed some air, so she went outside and saw Kav sitting in a car. He invited her to get in and then...........

360 >>>126 From the Leftist view of the Ford fiasco, have they done one bad play so far?

The playbook, which we share, is rock-solid. Thin, but rock-solid.

Cracked me up.

361 Mr. Redbanzi,

Your take on all of this is one I admire. I agree that there is no Thursday hearing. I really am shocked the even Drudge of all places is making this "official"

The details need to be hammered out and by details they mean EVERYTHING.

Ford is never going to testify. They will claim up till the last second that she wanted to but has been treated SO unfairly that now the poor dear just wants to be left alone as she has slipped into regression.

All damage done and purely out of thin air.

This will all hinge on how much can even the squishiest Republicans on the committee believe in ANY of this after all the outreach that has been attempted to tje liar.
