Feinstein: "Show some heart" and "Wait until Dr. Ford feels that she can come before the committee," Presumably Some Time in 2021 or Maybe 2025
Grassley: The Drop-Dead Deadline is 10PM Tonight. If We Don't Get a "Yes," We Vote on Monday.

Democrats: "Show some heart. Wait until Dr. Ford feels that she can come before the committee."

I mean, she's only had Thirty Six Fucking Years to process this traumatic event that almost certainly didn't happen.

Mitch McConnell says: We'll get right on that, sister.

Reminds me of a movie I saw once.

Grassley just extanded the deadline for the delicate Ms. Ford to accept the request to testify -- but attached an ultimatum to it.

It's a drop-dead deadline:

@ChadPergram 32m

Grassley: I'm extending the deadline for response yet again to 10 o'clock this evening. I'm providing a notice of a vote to occur Monday in the event that Dr. Ford's attorneys don't respond or Dr. Ford decides not to testify.

How much time must elapse before the Cucked-Out, Tucked-Under Enforcers of Twitter Consensus Opinion feel comfortable saying that this woman seems to be playing games and seems to be very, very reluctant to have her claims questioned?

Truth is protector. And people feel vulnerable without it.

Thanks to weft-cut loop for the Grassley update.

But they get a consolation prize for the Dem base by her "never getting the opportunity" to testify. Why if only those mean old Republicans hadn't rush the vote, Dr. Ford would have testified and Kav would have been voted down. By never testifying this narrative will now live on and forever taint Kav as the illegitimate Justice. If she testified and they voted to confirm Kav, they'd be denied the narrative.

61 It's been a problem for years, but I remain astonished that the GOP - even on this rare occasion when they've decided they're not going to be deterred or manipulated, they're going to get their victory - STILL have zero PR-fu.

Grassley has been far more accommodating than he should have - but just the right amount to deny the Dems any traction with their dishonest and despicable "have a heart" crap.

But the GOP needs other voices to bring the muscle. Grassley stays above it all, but others need to be ruthlessly shaming and confronting the stupid Dem talking-point machines, including ChiFi.

The bad-faith, violation of committee procedures, and despicable dishonesty of the Dems the last week has been jaw-dropping. But only those following it even know about them.

The Dems are very vulnerable to damage from this stunt, but a lot of that won't be realized without some actual offense from the GOP types.

97 Maybe out of all the potential Kavanaugh accusers vetted by the Soros-funded lefty activist group behind this, she didn't step forward. Everyone else stepped back. She was recruited and now she has cold feet because she was promised by her handlers it would never come to this. They went looking for a woman who fit the profile: right age, attended school and lived nearby, a lefty, promiscuous, a drinker, easy to persuade or threaten. Now they're stuck with her and she ain't ready for prime time.

This is such a farce. We are governed by mediocrities of the first order. This is all such a transparent theater.

ALL of the Democrats will vote against Kavanaugh, regardless of the existence of this whole Ford sideshow.

There are 2-3 GOP Senators, and we all know who they are, that do or pretend to treat the theater as real. With Grassley's 10pm deadline now issued, it would appear that even Jeff Flake is now ready to rip of the veil of pretense and just power this through.

Not a single Senator will vote differently now vs. before anyone (supposedly) knew about Christie Ford. The only remaining question is whether this entire affair marks the low point of Senate Judicial Confirmations, or whether the Dems can dig even lower. Given that the next likely Justice to leave the court has a name that rhymes with Loof FinsGaurg, we can confidently conclude that the Progressives are only still in first gear. The Progressives are repulsive. This confirmation is an unmitigated disgrace
