Is the person who admits to a crime, say bank robbery, a better person than the one who is accused but denies robbing a bank at all? The only fair answer is that it depends on the facts. If the denier is actually guilty and he's lying about it to avoid prison, he’s a worse person than the guy who admitted he's a crook and repented. On the other hand, if he’s innocent and telling the truth about not being a bank robber, then he’s a much better person than the guy who is a bank robber. This level of nuance seems to penetrate Cillizza's awareness and yet the fact that Kavanaugh could be innocent is literally a parenthetical. That suggests he's not taking this real possibility very seriously. The only fair thing to say here is that we don’t know the truth and therefore we don’t know if Booker's story is better or worse.I'd go further: I'd guess Cillizza not only believes that Kavanaugh is guilty despite denying the accuastion, but that he also believes Booker is innocent despite confessing to it. I imagine Cillizza thinks that Booker was just apologizing "out of an excess of #MaleAlly Feminist Heroism" or trying to appear #SuperWoke by confessing to sins he didn't even commit. They just added an executive business meeting to the calendar for the 24th at 10 AM (they did not remove the calendar listing for Day 5 of Brett Kavanaugh's nomination hearing).
The executive business meeting will be where they vote on Kavanaugh.

I just replaced the sacrificial anode in ours, something I highly recommend. It's a pain in the ass the first time, because they use an impact driver to tighten the damned down. To get it out, you'll need a breaker bar and a length of pipe, and some serious muscle.
But after the first time, it's easy, and it protects the water heater. Wait until you see the condition of the present anode. Prepare to be shocked.
(Use a magnesium anode, not aluminum, which tends to make a gel-like deposit. If you don't have enough head space over the water heater, get a segmental anode.)

Why if only those mean old Republicans hadn't rush the vote, Dr. Ford would have testified and Kav would have been voted down. By never testifying this narrative will now live on and forever taint Kav as the illegitimate Justice. If she testified and they voted to confirm Kav, they'd be denied the narrative.

I don't have a basement either, but my water heater is on the ground floor in the laundry room. When the old one went bad, it just leaked onto the concrete floor which was easy to clean up with a mop and bucket. Having that water come through the ceiling into a bedroom would really suck.
