Woke up this morning and our rural internet was out, probably due to high winds yesterday. Thought I could get a few things done today instead of searching for Kavanaugh info all day here at Ace's place. Nope it's back up and here I am.

BTW, there's a great podcast at Powerline. The guests are Julie Kelly and "Lucretia", and they say the words no man can utter. I first heard them from my wife. In the beginning, one of them says "Every girl knows how to handle this. If it's never happened to you, you must be really ugly." Wow.
My own take is that she'll manage to somehow agree to Weds, then she'll have to do her hair, or her grandmother will die, or anything to delay again. From all we see, she's a real wackadoodle basket case; someone they don't want on the stand. That's why they don't want women questioning her. When she inevitably goes bananas, they could yell "patriarchy" if it were the senators. As it is, she'll just expose herself as an overaged snowflake.
So she'll agree to the later date, then back out, figuring Grassely will cave again. Frankly, my money's on her.

Mrs928 was all in tales of health woes yesterday after talking to her mother. Her brother's stepson, who has had scoliosis (sp?) for many years, had been having a lot of pain and was scheduled for surgery to work around his implanted rod and whatever, but when the surgeon got in, he said the fix was beyond his skill. So now they are taking a bizzilion 3D xrays and will program a machine to do the surgery later.
It's sad. He a good guy with an unbelievably nice wife and kids and has suffered for decades.
And she has a cousin with some kind of throat cancer. Prognosis is poor.

As an addition, Pence can break a cloture tie for a nomination, since the requirement for nominations is only a majority vote. With bills, for which cloture requires 3/5 of the Senate (aka. 60), the VP is useless.

Edged the line, here n' there. But lack of aggressiveness is *precisely* what's plaguing the Senate Judiciary Committee (on the R side) at the present moment, now isn't it?
And it was imperative to take the smarmy, not-so-stealth Commie down a few pegs, right from the start. O'Rourke's campaign is BUILT on the false image, false narrative of his manufactured persona and word-salad rhetoric.

Remember how Ozero proclaimed himself to be "a blank screen upon which his supporters could project their hopes and aspirations"?

Understand, I don't blame DiFi for this last minute hit job on a nominee with almost unparalleled qualifications. It's all she, and her decrepit slime-ozzing party, have left. Besides, they know full well the SCOTUS (and the courts in general) are their Waterloo. They lose them, they lose the country, period and perhaps for a generation or longer. When all of this is revealed to be a hoax, what department does Judge Kavanaugh report to in order to get is reputation and good name back, eh Senator Collins?

They should have just about everything you're looking for. You'll have to pay fees to register the domain, then, they'll park it for you, offer you the email domain and space. Just takes money.

In Texas, Cruz will comfortably win but I think a lot of Trump supporters are just letting him dangle on purpose.
The only reason the Cruz vs Beto race even looks plausible is because Cruz acted like a complete asshole after losing to Trump to the point of not even endorsing at the GOP Convention.
Seriously, Beto's campaign is basically being built around what Trump has said about him. They know this also.
In the end, Trump supporters will back Cruz but had he lost gracefully to Trump, this would not be much of a race.

Most domain registrars will offer free mail hosting for the domain out-of-the-box as well as a parking ("future home of...") webpage, if you wanted to set up your own mailservers or web server then that would be up to you. If you just want the mail, it should be set up by default.

But shutting it down any faster would have given the RINOs an excuse to _pretend_ to be afraid of the accusations of sexism and torpedo the actual confirmation. By now pretending to believe this mess doesn't make them look noble or thoughtful, it just makes them look like frauds and suckers. They can't abide that image, not in this political climate.
This path is frustratingly methodical for us, I know, but all of this will pay off with the next nominee. We're forcing the left to burn through each page of their playbook all at once while watching every tactic fail. It's very Trumpian, really.
