Definitely. When I was in college (just before the total madness set in, but somewhat recently), I worked as a field technician for our IT department. It was a mostly-male group - we had one woman on staff in my area.
That woman's job? Provide service to female professors and students. She was a junior employee fresh to the job. If she didn't have the skill needed to fix the problem (too complicated, an area she didn't know, whatever), her job became to accompany me or whichever other male tech had to go make the call.
We were never, ever permitted to be alone with a female professor or student. This was a hard, no-exceptions policy handed down by our VP to avoid any appearance of impropriety or potential for false accusations. He had a staffer who had to deal with a false accusation for a *year* earlier on in the field-service program - so promulgated new rules to prevent it.
It was a hugely wasteful policy in terms of manpower, but it was very safe.
And people think Pence is insane...

I guess the only thing I'm hung up on is if it needs to be public humiliation with tomatoes thrown at her in the stocks, or prolonged jail time via legal means.
My initial leaning is towards the latter, but since that option has been neutered because of protected class or whatever, f*ck it. It wasn't my decision that the only solution left available to people not in power is to ruin her in the public eye.

A big step would be to silence the over-the-air broadcasters. Don't revoke one or the other's FCC licensing - yank all of them. All broadcasters who transmit over the air.
The public needs the airwaves clear for fighting the Russians or some shit.
They claim to be totally objective, so the FCC should be as well, and play no favorites.
Let them regroup on cable or the internet, where there is competition.
That way, it's non-discriminatory and pro-competition. And there is absolutely no chance whatsoever that ABC, CBS, or NBC could ever compete for even a single business quarter without their state-mandated oligopoly.

I can see closed meetings going either way. I don't think there will be any testimony given by her under oath, so I guess it doesn't really matter. This is just a delay and an annoying one at that.

When there is a major trial, the networks operate a pool camera. Not all networks and all their equipment can fit inside a courtroom, so they operate 1-2 rigs and they all split the costs to share the feed for their own reporting.
We could do something similar. Provide a single channel in each market for OTA news and make them share it. They can split it up or pay each other for timeslots as they see fit. Eventually, the strong will eat the weak and there will be only one left. Then, it is a monopoly and can be dismantled under Sherman/Clayton.

Feinstein may only finally have brought it up at all to burnish her "progressive" bona fides (she's locked into a death struggle with the leftist Kevin de Wetback for her Senate seat), thinking that the mere allegation would induce Kavanaugh to withdraw.
Now the really fun part would be if she sent the Gorsuch letter to Feinstein as well, and Feinstein is the one who decided she was a nut job. Back then, Feinstein's career in the Senate wasn't hanging by a thread.

12 years of rulings on record, anyone can read them. His judicial philosophy and temperament was very clear.
Bush totally fucked the dog with Souter. He picked him even though he didn't know anything about him because John Sununu liked him. They did almost no vetting whatsoever, he had a record of being pro "law and order" so they went with him.
In fact, what Souter believed, and how he ruled throughout his career, was that The Government Was Always Right. When there was a case against a cop, then the cop was right, that made him look pro law and order. But if there was a case against a DA, the DA was automatically right. Against the City, or the State, or the Bureaucracy - well of course the Bureacracy was always right, and how dare any peons challenge the Glory and Majesty of the State.
Gawd, I hated Souter, I still think he was one of the worst Justices of the entire 20th Century. At least RBG has always been honest about her liberalism, but Souter was a worthless snake in the grass, his entire life.

I prefer Jeremiah Johnson over The Natural but yea, agreed. Frankly I think he's overrated as an actor (same for Warren Beatty). Doesn't take away that both of those films are excellent.

That would be weird, and I only see two ways for that to happen.
1.) Her handlers got trigger happy, and would've had to call the Commissars at the newspaper and tell them "pull up, pull up, the Party is going to acquiesce on Gorsuch!"
Then, miracle of miracles, the next nominee, who they actually are going to Bork, turns out to have gone to the same school as him.
That's a lot of coincidences.
2.) The Democrats and their press Commissars have such letters on file for every single shortlisted nominee prospect in every administration. Which is far-fetched, but perhaps less so than #1.

This was my thought. When they got the shortlist, they went back through their histories. They saw that these two went to the same prep school, and probably figured the odds of *both* of them making it were small. I imagine it costs a damn fortune to lay a trap like this, so it may well have been seen as a "twofer" to consolidate opposition operations for two guys who are basically the same on important demographic points.

I like Sneakers right up until the moment when everyone is lined up against the wall. The SECOND they come off that wall and start talking, the movie goes to hell. Was a fun hacker/spy movie until then, with some good quotes and scenes.

I think Glenn Close is wildly under-rated as an actor bcz she is not conventionally pretty.
She was miscast a lot. Does anyone sane really think Michael Douglas would throw over Anne Archer in one day for Glenn Close??? Seriously????? I mean maybe if they'd established that Anne's character was a total bitch and he was lonely and miserable but their relationship was wonderful. And Glenn Close had.... nothing going for her. Nothing.

Maybe the FBI should try telling the Democrats "we don't have jurisdiction" with smoke signals since English didn't work.
Even if they had jurisdiction, its really hard to investigate a "crime" 36 (or 37 or 38 or maybe 34) years ago when the supposed "victim" who can't even say where or when she was supposedly victimized.
