The Morning Rant

talking ape.jpg
"So it looks like Brett Kavanaugh's accuser has been identified and, guess what, she's a progressive activist college professor who apparently scrubbed her entire social media presence before her name was made public. She sends her letter to Senator Diane Feinstein who sits on it for weeks and then, after the confirmation hearings are over, gives it to the FBI for investigation, only with the professor's name redacted. Like, what are they supposed to do with it? So the FBI says this is not a matter for them to investigate (strange as it may seem, drunken high school groping is not a federal crime) and gives the letter to the White House. And now it's being reported that the professor will be a no-show at a proposed hearing next Monday and DiFi says she can't verify that she has said is truthful. This is all so stinky that even the extremely liberal San Francisco Chronicle newspaper editorialized against it. Grassley needs to shut down this shit show before it gets out of hand. Hell, it's *already* out of hand. There's no doubt in my mind that Kavanaugh is going to get confirmed. Even if Jeff Flake goes into a fetal position, they've still got 50 once Pence parachutes in. The problem is, the Democrats never seem to suffer any consequences when they toss in these stink bombs. Which they will do the next time and the next and the GOP needs to figure out how to make them pay for it. And last, some Eeyore conservatives are already complaining that these bogus allegations of sexual misconduct will permanently taint Kavanaugh's SCOTUS career. Really? I don't think so. Tomorrow will bring another day, the progs will gin up a new outrage, and everybody will forget this national freak-out, and Kavanaugh will go to work deciding cases according to sound constitutional law. And nobody will care. Just ask Clarence Thomas."

That's the part I don't get. This is being approached in exactly the opposite way one would expect.

Black people should be behind Kavanaugh and protesting in the streets because this is happening and they understand why it's such a problem.

86 Fox had Griff whatshisname interviewing the mayor and his wife of this tiny town in NC that is under water up to the second story in most buildings. His wife was crying too hard to be on camera and the Mayor kept breaking up during the interview.

Stupid reporter kept asking the guy what he wanted from President Trump when Trump visits NC today. He asked the guy three times, making the guy repeat that they were going to need lots of help. Instead of asking the Mayor if he knew if everyone had been rescued , were there residents still there, did they have potable water available, etc. The mayor finally said they should have water available once the electricity is back up( I'm guessing the reality of that is weeks)

Why Fox sends out their dumbest to disasters is beyond me.

89 Same with Beto vs Cruz, all the pollsters were saying it was a tight race. I don't believe it was ever a tight race, I think it was just about the media getting to build a narrative.

Not saying we ignore all polls but don't let them get you discouraged.

Posted by: Blago at September 19, 2018 11:32 AM (UfkIY)

Beto doesn't stand a chance. He's a gun control candidate running in Texas, in a statewide race.

What his and the party's real goal is, is to build up a narrative that he was robbed, possibly with Russian help. They'll put him on every talk show to talk about his alleged victimization, and make sure every Leftoid knows who he is...

Because he's going to be running for President in 2020. Their party officers know they've got a weak bench full of malign quasi-Stalinist octogenarians, and they're trying this stunt to build up an alternative, because their internal polling is probably looking pretty grim.

150 You can just tell that people "in the know" on both sides know something devastating in Ford's account and they are now trying to get out of this as quick as possible.

The fact Republicans and even Trump are begging her to testify and she won't, with even Feinstein backing off tells you they know this is going to go sideways on them.

Clearly something has been discovered that destroys her credibility. Wouldn't surprise me if she wrote the same letter about Gorsuch.

So, why accept defeat if the damage is done? I'd rather have him be the SCOTUS justice who overcame vague sexual assault charges than the judge whose career was ended by vague sexual assault charges.

Look closely at her account of the party - she says it was just her, and 4 teen boys, at a house with no one else, no parents. Sounds a whole lot more like a fantasy scene, or a copy of something out of Ridgemount high, than anything else.

And she doesn't remember how she got home, although she was too young to drive herself. Yeah, of course, because fantasy scenes always leave out the boring parts like arranging transportation. Oh yeah she "experienced" this scene, and the next instant she opened her eyes and was laying on a couch in her therapists office.

Kavanaugh went to an all boys HS. Meaning that the brilliant psycho Ford didn't go to HS with them. I don't know if she even lived in the same neighborhood or lived four suburbs over. So we were being asked to believe that at age 15, Ford went to a party at a house somewhere in Maryland, all by herself, where there were no adult's present , hung out there while there was music blasting and alcohol being passed around and heavily consumed, maybe by herself as she doesn't remember, and when she went upstairs to the bathroom, she was accosted by four or maybe two teenage boys who dragged her into a bedroom and one proceeded to grope her through her clothes. She was somewhat protected by a one piece bathing suit she had on underneath, because all fifteen year old girls go to parties on their own wearing their super protective one piece bathing suits under their party clothes. (Plus , it makes it really much harder to go to the bathroom). The music had been turned up really loud and although she tried to scream, the guy on top of her put his hand over her mouth, while groping her and tearing at her clothes with the other. Then , just before he might have killed her, the other guy jumped on the guy on her and she was able to get up and escape.

She told NO ONE about this. Not even those party goers downstairs....

But she remembers it was....Brett Kavanaugh, and his two buddies, from his all boys HS.

I mentioned this in the previous thread.

Grassley had mentioned a scenario of 'mistaken identity".

I think they may have some evidence to back this up. If so, this could be an epic end game at the Dem's expense.

--------------
This may be a stretch but I think Kavanaugh may know who the person is that may have put the moves on Ford. He heard it through the grape vine on Monday at school.

I'd have to review the statements of the other so called "witnesses" (Judge and JT?) and see they eliminate this possibility.

You're right, way too clumsy. They let themselves get too desperate. The classic way to take someone down, as was done with Roy Moore, is to get 6 or 7 women to all make the same vague accusation against one man, and then his detractors will say "well look at the sum of the evidence, it can't be just one of them making it up, he must have had a pattern of doing this."

BUT in this case, they have only one accuser, with no corroboration, making charges against 4 men, 3 of whom have said this never happened. (with the 4th keeping his privacy) So, the preponderance of the evidence is now against her, not for. That was their biggest mistake.

267 You're right, way too clumsy.

_____________

Yea, it was the same with Todd Akin. When every Republican calls for you to step down, it's pretty much over. Even in a deep red state. Best tactic is to just shut up.

Republicans truly think if they just condemn as quickly as possible, the media will somehow be their friend. Democrats for some reason are never asked to line up and condemn figures like Keith Ellison that has pretty open and shut evidence he liked to beat women.

That being said, Republicans need to be smart about who we nominate and Roy Moore was a train wreck everyone could see from a mile away.

Kavanuagh is no train wreck, he's being smeared.

318 And last, some Eeyore conservatives are already complaining that these bogus allegations of sexual misconduct will permanently taint Kavanaugh's SCOTUS career.

I take umbrage at that. No one is more like Eeyore than I, whose favorite character he has been since I was at most 5. But the point about Thomas is exactly what I've been arguing.

Just for a laugh, I went to Ricochet, to see what the pussycons were saying. The Conservatarians - usually a reliably rich lode - were in fact as pissed as I. Other than a few mandatory "I hate Trump" comments; they really said little I'd not endorse.

I also went to NRO. I read McCarthy, who I expected to be sound on this. (I also the comments. Not many, but all but one was sound.) But what truly surprised me as that the headlines to the other articles all seemed correct. (My stomach didn't feel strong enough to actually read Goldberg and French. Besides, why give those limpdicks a click?)

So, what's going on here? The only ones I've seen who are all in against Kavanaugh are the Navarro-Rubin types who are so far left they undoubtedly voted for the Sluts in the City dog.

But anyway, are even most of the wets on the right side this time?

My guess is she is not capable of standing up to even the most basic questioning, so it would be a total disaster.

It also could be that she had a wild time in HS - a lot of parties, a lot of boys - and she doesn't want to have to answer questions about that under oath. ------------------------

My greatest hope is that there is no hearing about this because the ONLY point to one would be to besmirch Kavanaugh's name. IOW, it would be a repeat of the Clarence Thomas hearings, which had no hope of proving him guilty of anything or derailing his appointment but served to ridicule and diminish him as a man.

This had to be done with Thomas, of course, because he was black. You cannot allow a black conservative to have status above that of a clown. And you MUST punish him as an example to others. So the charade was well worth it.

But with Kavanaugh the payoff is almost certainly too small for the risks. Let's hope the Left sees it that way --- for his sake.

343 Why are the Democrats playing this trump card so badly? What are they afraid of? Or is a new game afoot?"

My personal opinion is that democrats were so desperate for someone to come through for them that they grabbed onto her story like a drowning man grabs a life preserver. They knew nothing about her, and they were all eager to have her come forward, because they are picturing an Anita Hill replay, someone very comfortable with the cameras.

BUT it is Ford herself who has thrown a monkey wrench into all of this, and who is refusing to show up. (and forcing her allies to make excuses for her) I think Ford understands that if she's put under questioning, she doesn't have the mental ability to stand up to it and will crack up like Captain Queeg on the witness stand. Not showing up and letting her story die is still better than subjecting herself to that kind of public humiliation.

Kavenaugh is elite as elite can get and has always been well controlled and on track.

I'm pretty sure that he can account for his whereabouts during this very expansive time frame because he has said that it would have been impossible for him to do what she claimed, so he seems to have "mic drop" evidence.

Also, as others have alluded to this woman may have written an letter implicating Gorsuch with similar accusations, the White House may have this document and will shove it down the accusers throat if she shows up on Monday.

The bottom line is that the GOP and the administration needs to find a way to make the Democrats pay a price for their evil and satanic behavior.

doesn't she show up, mouth some banalities, cry a bunch and leave. The

Other than *lying*, the only reason I can think of that would explain why she can't provide this info is that...she got drunk/high and hooked up so much in HS that it's a blur which time was the time that the Kavanaugh guy and his friend supposedly jumped her.

Because the Democrats had nothing left to play. Kavanaugh was going forward. So a plan based upon hope, with nothing left, they pull out the loon whom even they do not believe and go full melodrama on everyone.

Then the Republicans call the bluff, and the Democrats know she cannot show up with absolutely *nothing of a story* so they start all of the other excuses.

496 Horowitz spoke at Whistle Blower Day ... says we need to make sure people that come forward are heard without retaliation.

He mentions law enforcement agencies, and that it takes extra strength to come forward there. A new NSA IG was also there, who is working with a new IG for the intelligence community.

Q thought we should listen to that carefully .. not sure what was supposed to be significant. It sounded good ... and maybe new people means real change. I didn't hear him say they were looking forward to hanging the DeepState seditionists ... so that was a little disappointing, but we'll see. ( )

All states are different but they tend to have a couple of points of historical spin in some direction up or down from a poll in another state. Something I saw exactly true in 2016. If I saw a legit poll of Ohio being plus eight Trump I knew damn well that Florida would be close. I'd ignore any poll from Florida showing Hillary double digit.

It just doesn't work that way at all. There will be no 'blue wave'.

/
Posted by: Moron Robbie - Google Takeout will let you download all your docs on Google at September 19, 2018 12:34 PM (wkPQ

Ford is not a doctor and she doesn't have a medical license.

She has a PhD in psychology and teaches psychology at Palo Alto University , which is solely devoted to the study of psychology. There are no other majors there.

Psychologists are licensed in the state they work in as psychologists. They almost never have any power to prescribe drugs as they have no medical training other than cursory training in the physiology of the brain and nervous system. When they end up with someone who appears to have a mental illness that could require medication, they have to refer them to MD psychiatrists.

I don't know if Ford even is licensed in CA to provide clinical psychology services. Usually, schools require their profs to be licensed in the specialty they are teaching, however, if she is limited to teaching basic courses in psychology and not in actually treating clients, then she may not be required by Palo Alto to be licensed. IOW, she may simply be a theorist teaching theory and basic courses.

iirc it was George Lamsa that explained confusing verses that were hard to understand without knowing old eastern culture.

the coals of fire on their head ... the would walk home in the cold, and carry a vessel on their head with coals ... to keep them warm. So it warmed their cold heart, basically ... the point of the verse is not that it 'burns them alive'.

Proportions.

Fluke's gambit was to add another incremental burden to health insurance coverage, make it less and less affordable, and thus incrementally further government socialism.

Hill's gambit was to get a patriot off the Court and hopefully another stealth Socialist like just like David Souter on instead. Much bigger stakes.

Of course the latter lying bitch would get more reward than the former.
