-Move your cars to high ground.
-Move stuff in your home as high as possible.
-Clean out bottom drawers. Water makes them swell shut.

112 In 2011, there was this assholey leftist film made by Oprah Winfrey called "The Help," about black maids. It was showered with Oscars including the Best Actress Oscar.

At the time -- which apparently was the stone age, in contemporary terms -- it was hailed as a super-duper revolutionary anti-white pro-black leftwing supernova of liberal righteousness that made white limousine liberals weep with masochistic guilt-glee.

But now? 2018? The lead actress in the movie, who won the Oscar, basically says that the film was an evil white-y whitewashing of whiteness, in which the voice of the black maids "wasn't heard":

https://apnews.com/ 4c0ef13e202f4f6e81a65bfc63d9de5c/ Viola-Davis-has-regrets-about-role-in-'The-Help'

Think the Left will ever be satisfied? Think again. One of the core principles of Deep Leftism is "Endless revolution," a constant pushing ever-more leftward, no matter how left society has already been pushed. Give them an inch, they'll take a mile.

Solution: Do not give them that inch.

This got willowed, but applies:

The one very interesting news item that CBS is pushing is the football field sized area of bottled FEMA water on skids that someone got a picture of that has sat on some runway in PR since days after the storm. It never got delivered to the residents. Just covered up with blue tarps to waste away in the tropical heat.

Sure, it's mighty embarrassing to the Mayor of PR -- an outspoken critic of Trump and FEMA. That's why it's surprising it's being reported.

I don't blame you. From step son's flood in Houston last year, I recommend putting all furniture you can't move upstairs up as high off the floor as possible - on blocks, milk cartons, upside down buckets...whatever. Fridge is ruined if it gets water in it- may not be savable. Move your cars if you can- they will flood fast and be ruined. Other probably obvious things - find a place to charge your phone (car batteries work if you have a running car). But really, just get out if you can.

204 Witness how massive and inescapable the warning about Hurricane Florence are, telling everyone to evacuate? Can't escape the coverage - -every media outlet, every communication format, everywhere, telling everyone to "Flee!", days and days before the hurricane actually hits.

Well, what the leftist media tried to make everyone forget, is that a similar --of not even more extreme -- level of media saturation and far-far-far-ahead of time warnings blanket the airwaves for days and days before Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in 2005. Everyone - -every single person -- in NO (and the whole coastal south) knew that were supposed to get to higher ground, for a week ahead of time.

AND YET

But of course that is all bullshit. They all knew they were supposed to leave. But some just decided to stay. And reaped the consequences. And yet somehow that's White America's fault.

Well, what the leftist media tried to make
everyone forget, is that a similar --of not even more extreme -- level
of media saturation and far-far-far-ahead of time warnings blanket the
airwaves for days and days before Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in
2005. Everyone - -every single person -- in NO (and the whole coastal
south) knew that were supposed to get to higher ground, for a week ahead
of time.

AND YET

But of course that is all bullshit. They all knew they were supposed
to leave. But some just decided to stay. And reaped the consequences.
And yet somehow that's White America's fault.

Aggravated by the lack of planning of city and state "leaders": Kathleen Babineaux Blanco, the governor [aka "Babblin' BlankStare"] failed to ask for Federal disaster aid in advance, and Ray the Chocolate City mayor didn't issue the evacuation order until the morning before the storm hit.
