The human form is the best subject of art, all art, over all of the centuries.

Clothes get in the way. Clothes are a nod to the oppressor, the status-seeker, the prude, and the envious.

All people should be displayed naked, especially young Nastassja Kinski.

It's considered important because it's the first life-size nude since antiquity. It's a major step in the revival of classicism in Western art. And David is rendered more faithfully to the Bible story, as a young teenage boy rather than a romanticized hero.

I prefer Bernini's interpretation.

I know there is a lot of high fiving around here when people like Weinstein or Moonves, etc. get piled on with accusations of sexual harassment, lose their jobs, etc., but you all need to realize that this "movement" isn't about catching the true perverts and punishing them, it's about removing power from any male. Weinstein et al were big fish, but the little fish, with virtually no issues are also good targets.
And this movement is capitalizing on the brainwashing and leftist thought that has been thoroughly taught and indoctrinated in our schools. For every female that has had a good male role model in her life, with parents who work to counteract this crap, there are a dozen whose parents are divorced, whose mom is now on her third live in , who is taught that men are assholes and should overall pay for all the ills in the world. That EVERYTHING is patriarchy and male dominance, etc.

So two HS guys locking you in a room at a party as a joke is "threatening", which is what I read last night regarding what this now, 40 plus old women is relating. She probably thought it was a joke too at the time, but now with the meetoo movement prodding her, she is being told she was threatened by that action and needs to go to authorities , now 30 years later.

This is what is so insidious about media narratives. The wild speculation about Manafort flipping when the charges themselves show this was not about Russian collusion but financial crimes most if not all of which occurred before his association with Trump.

On the other hand multiple Congressmen reported after her testimony that Lisa Page had indeed flipped and among other things said that the Strzok-Page texts mean exactly what they say. That was a one day story by a small fraction of the media and has mostly been forgotten.

If Page flipped it wasn't only to Congress.

Yes, telling defendents to lie about others to receive a lighter sentence really works in high profile cases like this one. In which the defendant worked on a campaign for four months and whose legal troubles all stem from a decade prior to ever becoming involved in the Trump campaign.

Manafort's second trial, from what I understand, is for additional financial crimes for which the prosecution has better evidence. His pleas are likely more to save the prosecution and state from having to go through another jury selection and trial , in which the prosecution may lose some charges as they did in the first trial.

Strzok on the other hand, can lie under oath ... since it would seemingly cost him nothing to get caught lying about his hanging offenses.
