Chuck Ross: #Resistance Lovers Peter Strzok and Lisa Page Discussed "Media Leak Strategy" Just Before the Washington Post Published a Story About Surveillance Warrants for Carter Page

You don't say.

*Peter Strzok sent Lisa Page a text message about "media leak strategy" during a key point in the Trump-Russia probe.

* Strzok sent the message just before The Washington Post published a bombshell story about the FBI obtaining surveillance warrants against Carter Page.

* North Carolina Republican Rep. Mark Meadows says the messages raise "grave concerns" about an "apparent systemic culture of leaking" at the FBI and DOJ.

In related news, former Deputy AG Andrew McCabe is being investigated by a grand jury, reportedly for lying about leaking.

Also, James Comey is an admitted leaker, though he claims, bizarrely, that his leaks to the media are not leak-leaks.

Yes the whole "counterintelligence op" was a sham for illegal surveillance and baseless criminal investigations, but if they chose to characterize it as an "intelligence" op then they ought to live (in prison) with the consequences.

Once again, I would urge people to watch the video of Rosenstein testifying to Congress on June 28. Pay particular attention to the section where he is questioned by Rep Gaetz.

Rosenstein wouldn't directly address the FISA application he signed but he was quite emphatic that what has been talked about in public regarding that application is NOT what he signed and he was already speaking with Horowitz who was investigating FISA abuse and he was very confident that he did nothing wrong.

Now maybe he was lying but if he was he's one hell of a good liar and he certainly doesn't appear worried.

I'm not defending him. Just saying that he had no clue on how to fix the economy but expected a turn around to "just happen" because it was "due." Meaning, he doesn't--and never will-- grasp just how Trump did it.

Au contraire, mon frer. TFG knew exactly what he was doing. He had no intention of improving the economy. He wished to create a Free Shit Army of unemployed slaves to the State and he was very busy drafting a reticent populace.

I luv that PDT retweeted TFG's snarky statement about Trump having a "magic wand" to wave the economy into 4-percent territory.

no idea what that means, except "they" say it is multiple times more than normal. (allegedly) Supposedly there were like 3000/month, now like 1000/month ... supposedly tied to a lot of the human trafficking, some of that of children.

the other "conspiracy theory" stuff is there are a lot of people leaving office, because we can't jail everybody ... and the ones that were mildly complicit are just walking away.

And the hysteria of the left can't be denied, so some claim that is due to them being cornered, and realizing the coup is failing, their DeepState can't save them.

in any case, I do hope some of the brazen criminal activity is being addressed, since it is now so public. Before or after the election ... some big changes should be happening. Or maybe that is just the #2weeks syndrome.

Deplorable: Yes, we remember. It started like clock-work as soon as you left office.

And "Yes," we agree your policies are responsible. Again, like clock work, the recovery gets better each time Trump unwinds one of your policies.

Funny how Obama spent his entire Presidency blaming Bush admin for everything bad about the economy, because Last President. Now, he wants to take credit for the NEXT President's accomplishments. Funny how in Obama's mind, Bad on my watch = somebody else's responsibility, Good on my watch = didn't happen, Good on next guy's watch = All me baby! His mind is very much like a 5-yr old.

I think the beginning of the end is Trump releasing the FISA applications, the 302s and other information. The heart of this thing has always been FISA abuse and widespread spying and leaking by the Obama administration for much longer than just the Trump campaign. A lot of that information has been probably used as part of criminal investigations and you don't release criminal evidence until you are ready.

After that information comes out I think the pace will pick up considerably.

391 I remember a geologist friend of mine a while back, conversing about how insane the building boom on Padre Island was. (and of course what he said applies to all barrier islands made of sand) He was saying sure, you could build strong structures, but if you looked at the geological record on the Gulf (and I'm the Atlantic Coast as well) then you could find evidence that very often storms have come up that were big enough to move the entire barrier island a mile or two overnight, and there was no structure of any kind that could survive something like that.

Now he was a geologist, so to him "all the time" is once every 500 years, and "very often" is once a millenia or so, but still - the man who builds his house on sand and all that. He did opine that it was inevitable that sooner or later, the ocean would take back anything that was ever built on a barrier island.

449 A theory:

There is a certain class within the commentariat that has internalized the rules of "being wrong" so thoroughly that they can be automatically, instantly wrong about literally any story or issue without having to give any deep or significant thought to it.

They have become so accustomed to operating under a certain logical fallacy, which is that an explanation which requires more complication is more likely to be right. Call it the "Hot Take". Call it the opposite of Ockham's Razor. Marx's Rasp?

They were thoroughly taught in school that Marxist thought is too complicated to "get" without being initiated into the deeper Mysteries of Dark Power that one can only access through rigorous application of black turtlenecks, overpriced coffee, and grad school snobbishness. So they learn to accept that what is "correct" must necessarily be "inaccessible" or "opaque".

So we now see that same principle being applied across the board, but in reverse. Whatever the issue, find out the most absurd, counter-intuitive explanation, and that must be the right interpretation. Whatever the problem, find out the most counter-productive response possible, and that must be the right response.

And the real kick in the nuts is that nobody academically or culturally is doing anything remotely like old guard Marxist Socialism anymore, really. There is a New Barbarism in place now that has completely jettisoned the idea of a "Deeper Truth you just haven't learned yet, because we're smarter than you" in favor of a raw, atavistic, post-post-modern yearning for an ill-defined authenticity that is little more than Nietzsche's Wille zur Macht with a pussy hat on.

The 19th century built themselves a Perpetual Bullshit Machine, the 20th hopped in and turned the sucker on, and now in the 21st we're starting to see the whole thing consume itself right before our very eyes.

Well ... here's where the conversation becomes ... uncomfortable. The Modern Progressive doesn't have a Monopoly on Will to Power. They're just on a hot streak.

Here - I'll throw an "I think" in - seems to make some folks just feel better about the things I have to say.

"I Think" the biggest check on Will to Power that I knew was Classical Liberalism - part of which was the notion that Power shouldn't always be used. That Minority Opinions should be indulged ... maybe just ignored.

Well ... that shit's dying - just about dead.

It'll be fun - watching Will To Power get applied to these mother-fuckers, good and hard, for a while.

523 Honoring 9/11, chanting "USA", and the US Flag are now "RACIST"!

Allegations of racism at Orange County high school football game underscore broader tension in the Trump era
https://lat.ms/2QkoinV

The fallout over allegations of racism at a recent Orange County high school football game erupted on social media over the weekend, reflecting the broader tension gripping the country in the Trump era.

The disputed incidents occurred at Friday night's contest between Aliso Niguel and Santa Ana high schools, during which Santa Ana Principal Jeff Bishop became upset by what he saw as racially tinged intimidation by Aliso Niguel students...

Bishop's posts sparked much debate over the weekend about what exactly happened. Some Aliso Niguel supporters said that Bishop unfairly maligned the school and that the students' behavior was not racist. Others declared it a misunderstanding, saying some students arrived at the game in patriotic colors to commemorate the anniversary of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

"We are a multi-cultural school. Sure do we have outliers just as your school does? Sure, but for you to call our school a racist school is horrible to do to our students and our players," one Aliso Niguel supporter commented on Bishop's post...

He became more concerned, he posted, when he heard chants of "USA! USA!" following touchdowns by the Aliso Niguel team...

The Aliso Niguel principal, Deni Christensen, declined to be interviewed Sunday but told the Orange County Register that the flag theme was intended to honor the anniversary of 9/11.
