I read an article awhile back that increased longevity and health due to improved medicine, and the availability of performance enhancing drugs like viagra and levitra, has resulted in retirement communities turning into veritable Dens of Iniquity. And accompanying all of the rampant screwing-around-like-horny-teenagers is the usual multiplex of break ups, love triangles, jealousies, one-night stands, petty hatreds, etc., and it's all pretty silly until some guy tries to take out a hit on his girlfriend. Oh, and disease, let's not forget that. The STD rates in places like The Villages and other retirement communities is through the roof. Because physical disease, mysteriously, always seem to be one of the results that occur when moral standards are relaxed. Imagine that.

BUT this was already a couple hours after the Towers were hit and it was reported in the local newspaper the next day that when the local school was dismissed earlier, there was loud cheering and laughter. That story disappeared in the following days---as did a report by a minister who had witnessed this same thing in the same area.
Also down the memory hole was a story about a group of area white and Hispanic teenagers who were bent on revenge --and taken into custody by the police ( later released uncharged)
So yes, there was a lot of cheering and celebration. But it was over by 10:30 when I drove through the area.
It was all memory-holed because Islam is peaceful....

Last week I was posting on a local news website and quoted and linked to three NYT articles discussing the topic. We were having trouble with our mail, so I went to the post office to complain. The lady said I could go on the USPS website, and sign up for Informed Daily Delivery. Every morning they sent me an email with photos of the letters that are to be delivered that day. If they don't show up, then I have proof that the driver is an idiot.

I had two checks stolen by an employee of the USPS... They changed all the details and filled in something else... I send very few checks anymore but this was for a PGE bill and water.. I've been through it.
Moved into a new apartment in 99. Never received ONE piece of personal mail at the address. Lots of junk mail though. Bills never came, etc.
I went to the post office and told them the story.
Their response was, "I don't know what to tell you. You can get a post office box though."
So I paid $38/year for the privilege of getting my mail.

I lived in jersey my whole life, and that whole NE jersey area just about makes me physically ill if I have to go there for anything. Its the main reason I won't do Hoboken moron meetups. Microsoft wants so badly for two things to happen:
1) PCs to go away. They've been predicting and wanting this for a decade now
2) For all storage and all programs to be online rather than locally on your computer. So you rent storage and rent your programs rather than own them. Microsoft's latest office is all rental now, you cannot own a copy.
See, from a software producer's point of view, buying software is a losing proposition. Once you have your version of Windows (whatever) you have it and no longer buy it from anyone. That means a big revenue spike at first, but then nothing after that until a new version comes out, which is expensive to produce.
RENTING programs which you use from an online location, well now that's a constant revenue stream, you pay forever on that.

But the MSM has dropped a total blackout on his campaign events, which is why you don't hear anything from the usual sources (unless they can think of a way to attack him) Also, Cruz is staying away from Dem strongholds which aren't where many of his supporters are, like Houston, Austin and San Antonio. My brother used to work in IT and he's disgusted with "the cloud."
Its just one of those terms marketing came up with to get clueless management to buy into and support. "The Cloud" is a beautiful buzzword, and it sounds all fancy and technological, and they don't know exactly what it means but its high tech and future and they can slip it into memos and talks.
"The Cloud" is just someone else's computer. When you store things on "the cloud" you're just storing it somewhere else that you don't control and others can access. That's it.

Its one of the reasons I got OUT of Medical IT. Lots of money in it, but the liability devolves onto the IT tech.
Their ARE ways to secure it, but its very expensive and time consuming... and thus not competitive in the market place.
So Doctors are ordering IT techs to do things which they KNOW are against best practices and HIPAA Act... which makes the TECH responsible and liable...
Its the big reason you see the smaller doctors offices joining bigger conglomerates. The bigger Companies can afford the data centers needed to secure the information... and the staff to support it.
HIPAA will end up killing any independent Doctor practices out there. Just like the Bail Out Consolidated the Banking industry.

Its just one of those terms marketing came up with to get clueless
management to buy into and support. "The Cloud" is a beautiful

One stumbling block to this is that encrypted transmissions are not allowed on ham radio frequencies. Everything must be open and in the clear. That's according to the FCC regs that govern amateur radio.

FCC enforcement is massively undermanned and underfunded. Pirate stations operate openly on the FM band for years before they get shut down. So yes, you probably could get away with data encryption of the type you're describing.

No names yet that I've seen but the 2nd Horowitz report had some very telling charts showing the number of contacts between the FBI/DOJ and reporters and claimed they were constantly leaking and getting things like tickets to sporting events, meals and invites to social events in return.
Devlin Barrett is obviously one since he was already named in one of the texts that was released a while ago.

A huge percentage of Obama's jobs were part-time. So a fulltime job gets converted to three part-time jobs, voila --look at all the new jobs.
Plus Obama was bleeding manufacturing jobs which are much better than the jobs he was getting --government 'work'.
Quantitative easing and zero interest policies were the only thing getting any positive jobs effect, the stimulus was a flop. Trump is getting his results in the face of interest rate increases and wage growth to boot.
In terms he would understand, Obama's economy was in a recovery phase of the cycle and was flaccid, compared to the decline was erect and throbbing.

Depending on terrain, with the right kind of array you can get quite a ways by "rolling" the signal on the ground. But yeah even with that, CB doesn't have a very long range. HAM requires gargantuan antennae and specialized equipment too.

Yeah they went nuts on Puerto Rico, but nobody cared or was listening. They knew it wasn't a Trump joint, and that PR is packed with corruption like a Snickers has peanuts. It didn't work at all and bringing that back up a year later is even less likely to work.

A lot of people would be better informed if they actually read the reports instead of relying on the same media they say they hate and don't trust to interpret them for them. But they don't.

The one very interesting news item that CBS is pushing is the football field sized area of bottled FEMA water on skids that someone got a picture of that has sat on some runway in PR since days after the storm. It never got delivered to the residents. Just covered up with blue tarps to waste away in the tropical heat.
Sure, it's mighty embarrassing to the Mayor of PR -- an outspoken critic of Trump and FEMA. That's why it's surprising it's being reported.

The NYC subways have, for many months, run ads from "Governor" (spit) Cuomo with something called a "Bias Hotline". It depicts a woman in hijab and instructs we Citizens to "report incidents of bias" to said gubmint "Hotline."
There is no qualification as to criminality, violence, or even employment. Just "incidents of bias" --which is now apparently a reportable offense to your government.
The Overton/Orwell window on totalitarianism in the ostensible service of "diversity" is well shifted.
