Yes, she waited 8 months to sic the law on the guy. He even apologized after he did it. The Times doesn't identify the woman, but does say she's a big-time #MeToo crybully, so no surprise there. So the cops charge they guy with quote, forcible touching, third-degree sexual abuse and harassment, unquote and releases him on O.R. So I guess this means there's going to be a trial. For grabbing someone's hiney. Look, I'm not saying what he did was OK, but come on, it used to be that the way to deal with cads who helped themselves to the merchandise was a hard slap across the face followed by a loud 'How DARE you?' to let everyone else in the vicinity know what had happened and who did it. Feminists get all mad when you tell them this, though. They say women shouldn't have to put up with men who want to grab they hiney. True, but guess what, toots, we don't live in a perfect world, despite you dopey feminists trying to criminalize every known socially obnoxious behavior. So women need to stand up for themselves. McCain got the nomination in 2008 for a few reasons. One was that the read on W was that he was a failed President. And this was BEFORE the financial crisis.
The winds of change were in the air, and McCain was critical of W, so he was considered the right pick.
Plus, the field was not awesome. Perhaps because the ill winds from W.
Rombley. Who campaigned as Rombley.
Giuliani. Who campaigned as Mayor of NYC. You know, pro-abortion and pro-gun control. Ace thought that was a winning platform, but, nope. Not actually for the Republican party.
Ron Paul. Who campaigned as Ron Paul. However, it should be noted, when he wasn't railing about the Gold Standard, was pretty darned rational on the debate stage against Romney and McCain.
Mike Huckabee. Who kinda sorta campaigned as W part II.
Fred Thompson. Who campaigned as ADM Josh Painter. And was a Q fave. And seemed like he didn't work all that hard for it.
Alan Keyes. Who campaigned against the racist Republican Party.
And Duncan Hunter. Yes, that Duncan Hunter.

I know, right? Literally got the only two seats available (at the counter in front). However, it was a moody day all around as we were occupying ourselves while hubby was at hospital getting tests (inconclusive, but worst fear is cancer has returned). Best pizza I've ever had came from a little mom and pop shop in my old town in MA. All of the ingredients were top shelf which obviously makes a big difference but what really made it great was the crust.
They made it with some secret seasoning that they guarded like a state secret, everybody tried to get it out of them but they would never tell. And then one night, poof, they disappeared without ever telling anyone what their secret was.

or we don't give equal trade status to countries that don't provide fair treatment to workers, or that profit by sending illegals to our country, or that become a conduit for commie countries to cheat on other trade deals ... and on and on.
We must consider all that AND still protect the American worker regardless of any of that (coal miners will not magically become programmers, same applies to auto/garment/steel/etc.). It comes down to protecting America and our people (culture, heritage, belief in liberty).
Or the new "equilibrium" could be WallStreet becomes mega-rich, American workers become more like Mexican/Chinese workers, in compensation and treatment.

He was one of the four killed when their plane went down in Statesboro. As I said up-thread, one of the dead was a friend of a young man in our church. There is one survivor, whose legs are badly mangled, among other things.
Son's Marine buddy (initials E. G.) was murdered in Mexico a few days ago, as well.

Leaving aside the endless, mostly stupid re-litigation of his military record, the particularly stupid thing about all this McCain hagiography is that he was not a major factor, not a doer, had few accomplishments, did not influence things substantially, was far too much of a lightweight to be an idea guy or shape any debate. At least Kennedy had disastrous, specific legislative catastrophes with his name on them.
Not all that shocking, but still educational, is how much the less stupid commentators are sloshing the "hero" label over his *entire* record, which is absurd, since politically he was mostly known for lying about his positions on the biggest issues, and a laughable presidential run against the most damaging figure in modern US history. His Senate time personified the *opposite* of service to his constituents, up until the bitter (word used advisedly) end.
