Those claims should have been highly suspect without even knowing about this kid. Just by looking at the "work" she's actually done in movies (her main thing, BTW) and who she did those scenes for made her claims against Weinstein seem silly from the very start.
I'm sure Weinstein perved on her ... but she made a living doing explicit perverted things in movies, and in movies made by her own father, as I pointed out before.

This, this is why people are having a problem with the whole #MeToo thing. Because it feels less like a valid complaint against abuse of women by nasty powerful men and more about an attempt to damage and depose men who are in the way.
Because if it really was about wanting to deal with evil sexual abuse, then women would be accused, and claims of child abuse of boys would be backed as well.
And people would be naming names other than Harvey Weinstein. Evil also comes in every culture, but some cultures foster it, nurture it (like the narco states, or many of the Muslim states). So let's just assume all colors are born equal, and examine the culture via statistics (murder rate, GDP, etc.) ... and decide what good comes from mixing incompatible cultures.
If we invite individuals based on merit, the culture clash can still be a big problem, yet it is demanded that we change our (more healthy imo) culture to adapt to them.
That is an issue to consider with legal immigration, a huge problem to avoid (by preventing their access) with illegal aliens.

First off, lack of evidence is not evidence.
Second, the event happened almost 3500 years ago, which means evidence of a nomadic people traveling through an area of rock and sand is going to be difficult to impossible to find, particularly as the area has been one covered with nomadic peoples for the millennia since then.
Second, the only possible reason to doubt the story is a need for the Bible to be false, not because there's any rational basis for it. Its not scholarship to say 'that never happened,' its anti-religious bigotry.

There's stuff all over that desert, some dating back several thousand years. The Bedouin have been traveling through there continuously for the last 3,000 years. But there's good reason to believe, because the land in the Sinai is so dry, that the land they went down and spent time in was a part of modern day Yemen. And no one is sure what mountain peak was the ancient Mt. Sinai - the peak that currently has that name was only given it by monks in the late Roman era. There are other, more likely candidates.

Im reading Giant about filming that movie in Marfa. I feel the same way, and this isn't just biblical numbers, but any numbers from antiquity. When they talk about large groups of people, it's probably safe to divide any reported numbers by 10. Ancient cultures were not extremely mathematical, remember, and they didn't have anything close to the numbering systems we had today.
They did the best they could, but most of the time a big number means "wow there were more guys there than any of us knew how to count."

I think it is important to remember what a solo campaign he ran. Most Prezs have a bevy of people and cash donators to choose from...there is a whole well-oiled machine...with people ready to populate positions. Remember, HRCs peeps already had their jobs planned out...that is the usual way of things.
Trump was not in that position...he had such a small pool to pull from. It was pretty clear a lot of these were bad hires and would come back to bite him. Also, even now, it is hard to find people ready to walk into the maw of the machine trying to destroy anyone who works for him.

I don't know of any credible Biblical scholar that thinks that-even Atheists who have a bias against organized religion. People can debate till the cows come home about who Jesus was-in a theological sense. They just go in my crackpot file if they deny that Jesus existed. More evidence that Jesus was a historical figure than that Mohammed was.

Well ... Egypt bans any archaelogical digs that are related to Jews in Egypt. They are very strict about that. Even so, there have been coins found that seem to mention Jacob, Joseph's father, and there have been a couple of other pieces of evidence pointing to the Biblical story.
It used to be that people assumed the Jews were the Hiksos, described by the Egyptians (from Canaan who took over Egypt for about 100 years and then left in a major exodus) but that view changed in more modern times to place the Jews in Egypt a couple of hundred years after the Hiksos. But the Hiksos story is still compelling.
As to Mount Sinai, there have been many attempts to find it and I have seen ones speculation that looks to be a very good candidate. It fits within the area described in the Torah and seems to have all the qualities that are noted, including space for the large population of Jews that camped out there. But, this is still pure speculation.
But, as to the rest of the battles and cities described in the Torah, all of them are either known to exist or have decent archaeological evidence for them. The Torah has proven to be pretty decent in its historical references, give or take. For thousands of years, literally, the Torah was the only place anyone saw mention of the Hittite Empire. Most academics thought that it was made up, since such a huge empire was nowhere to be seen ... until archaeologists finally came on Hatusha in the 19th century, I think.
The line of the entrance into Canaan by the Jews of the Exodus is pretty clear and explicit. If a bunch of Jews had just gone up and converted Canaanites then you would seem to be saying that they must have gone back out of Canaan and south to then return to Canaan from the southeast to take over the land. Seems like more of a stretch than the exodus story where they naturally come from the southeast as they come up from Sinai.

Ancient cultures were not extremely mathematical, remember, and they didn't have anything close to the numbering systems we had today.

I doubt there's any "archeology" that says that, the only groups really pushing that are the Iranians and the Palestinians, because they want to say that the Jews have no right to be in Isreal and Judaism is all some big European plot (which is a really, really weird argument given the history)
I've seen some clips of archaeological sites in the Sinai desert where large groups could have stayed, forget where. The problem with an archaeology there today is that no one can go there without a battalion of troops to protect them day and night, thanks to the Pali's and their ISIS friends. Even the Egyptian Army patrols still get shot up pretty regularly if they go in too deep.

Sure. But we still continue to look for archaeological evidence. For me, the Biblical accounts have been proven close enough that I take the Bible at its word for most of these historical events unless I'm presented with evidence to their falsity.

No. The government has already issued a statement that says they searched immigration records and there is no record of him ever having had any type of legal status in the U.S., including DACA.
His dumbass criminal defense lawyer tried to claim in court that he is legal because he has filed tax returns in the U.S.
The IRS does not have the legal power to change somebody's immigration status. The IRS can, and does, hand out TINs (taxpayer identification numbers) to illegal aliens so they can file tax returns, but that does not magically make them legal. They're just illegal aliens who file tax returns. And most of them do it not so they can pay taxes, but so they can qualify to BE PAID so-called "tax credits" for low income earners.

Yeah, I don't think any of this has ever been officially confirmed.
A few years back there was the "rumor" started by some douchebag website somewhere, that they had discovered Ace's true identity... and it turns out ACE IS A GIRL!!!111!!
Because, the theory went, they had found Pixy in Australia, and at the time it was assumed this was a girl name. But then the question arose, was the Aussie Pixy person actually a girl? Because yeah, thinking THAT person was Ace was just plain stoopid. Which apparently didn't stop the lefty blogosphere from going a bit nutty for a day or so.

Recall that Barry's bureaucrats were not verifying any flagged DACA applications (that could be fraudulent, incomplete, etc.). It could be that he half-assed the DAA application but was allowed the status, thus, a huuuge embarrassment for Barry *and* DACA status legitimacy.
