1 Good Morning Morons; today is Sunday, August 19, 2018. On this day in 1692 in Salem, Province of Massachusetts Bay, five people, one woman and four men, including a clergyman, were executed after being convicted of witchcraft. IIANM these five people were executed by hanging. A lot of popular movies like to portray these 'convicted witches' were executed by burning at the stake. That is a popular myth, none of the so-called Salem witches were burned at the stake. Liberals like to hawk this as an example of mass hysteria caused by religion. I view it as mass hysteria caused by an absolute dictatorship of city leadership. Similar to what we have in a lot of blue cities now.

2 We now know that WH aids have testified to the Mueller witch hunt many times. We also now that he is given up on his charter to seek out Russia collusion after a year of searching and finding none so now he is looking for a process crime of obstruction of justice. That is what perjury traps are for and why he wants Trump to come in to be grilled by his team of witch hunters.

CO used to be a nice Western State but has been transformed into just another blue Hell due to a massive influx of locusts from failed blue States.

But it does fall under the federal code for use of a weapon of mass destruction ( 18 U.S. Code 2332a) which without a death gets you a life sentence. But, it's the 'thought' that counts, not the law. We are no longer a nation of laws as far as the DOJ is concerned.

13 Another day, another federal judge demanding that Trump continue an unlawful, discretionary policy of the Obama administration. Yesterday, South Carolina District Judge David Norton, a George W. Bush appointee, ruled that the Trump administration didn't offer proper notice when it countermanded Obama's 'Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule.' Consequently, he is mandating that the EPA and Army Corps of Engineers continue regulating private property that contains streams, pools, and drainage ditches as commercial waters, in contravention of law.

Proving once again that it doesn't really matter which State a federal court or judge is in, the liberal black robes are running amuck and our worthless congress refuses to reign them in. It also proves that George Bush was a RINO but we already knew that.

That would be the main reason for having an Art V convention. The founders fully expected and said the courts were intended to be the weakest part of the federal government. But since Adams didn't get his way on the Constitution when he was President he did the first court packing deal in an effort to make the court the SOLE interpreter of what the Constitutions meant and appointed judges that wanted big central government just like him.

40 Here is the reason why there can be no Article V at this time, the GOP only controls the legislatures of 31 states and they only have full control of 25.

And even if we did control the 33 or so states necessary to push through amendments, forget about the Democrats, the GOPe will work to sabotage the state conventions at every turn.

42 I had the AAA app on my phone in case something did happen while driving, it would be a quick call and location for the tow truck. Then they put a SmartDriver type thing in it that monitors your driving habits and lets you know how you're doing on things like speed, braking, driving too long without a break (2 hours was too long for them) . I also discovered the app was causing my phone to freeze up.
So I took out the app. We don't have there insurance, and this was one of the plans you could sign up for to lower you costs. My concern is that it could be shared with MY insurance and have them adjust my rates

That makes me wonder, why can't we do that? I realize that the biggies will be somehow protected automatically, so we can't get, say, Scarborough censored. But there are plenty of small ones out there. There's got to be a way to hit them with the tactic.

Sexton conjectures that this threat is why Facebook isn't coming clean. They fear imitators. Well, if he's right and they fear that, then surely they should get that.

But my old fart education didn't provide me with the roadmap for that. Surely there's a way.

You guys need to file for bankruptcy. Mrs Cop and I had a somewhat similar situation when she was nearly fatally ill about 13 years ago. After surgery, radiation treatments and not working for 6 months, we were financially crushed by credit card debt and medical bills.

We got an attorney and filed for bankruptcy. We re-affirmed the medical bills and car/house payments and told the the credit card companies to piss-off. While the credit card companies try to tell people the bankruptcy is awful and the end of your life, the credit card companies are ... uh ... lying. Unsecured debt is their problem, not yours.

Get to an attorney that specializes in bankruptcy. That attorney will be able to ascertain whether your house is at risk, but I'm pretty sure that you can't be put on the street for unsecured credit card debt.

73 @53It's really hard to say because when societies break they break bad, a great culling is usually necessary and associated with such events.

so..

If you already haven't, adopt and live by a moral code that is derived from the judeo/christian creed, develop to the best of your abilities rugged individualism and survival skill sets.

Edged weapons training. Bow and arrow training. Slingshots.

Collect as many sling sized and palm sized smooth stones as possible and distribute to your alliance.

Develop bartering skills.

Develop a strong alliance of like minded family members and friends.

Keep several waterproof and durable copies of the torah/bible and the constitution for reference.

But as I say, when what's building goes off it's going to be extraordinarily bad and we will be lucky to get through it alive.

From the article
'This pilot will ensure vendors who agree to participate will agree to place scooters and bikes in neighborhoods where 40 percent of households make less than $25,000 a year" Cornish added.

Great. The only way to be involved if you are a scooter company is to make sure you provide scooters to low income areas. The (assumed) losses there will be offset by increasing the cost in other areas.

I used to have a coworker friend whose wife put him in that situation. He had to sell off a lot of his non-house assets to try to pay off those debts but he could not stop her short of divorce. And divorce in the SE is hard on males in family court. But I got my former SS .357 Smith from him in one of those sell-offs. But of course the canoe got that.

78 If Kristol is part of the Fusion GPS, Clinton, FBI conspiracy, doesn't that mean Continetti is too? Shouldn't Kristol & Continetti basically be shunned by any respectable conservatives? If say Josh Marshall was conspiring with Karl Rove to harm Hillary Clinton, wouldn't he be a pariah on the left? I don't really see how Continetti escapes guilt by association if Continetti was paying Steele and Glenn Simpson.

Apparently they now want to address the Bike-Desert issue with easily transportable scooters that can be driven in and out of traffic, endangering the operator and vehicle drivers.

The fact that they are all interrelated, by marriage and business at around the time of the campaign stinks.

The problem is linking the Steele Dossier in particular to Continetti. He did in fact retain Fusion GPS but let them go (supposedly) right after PDT secured the nomination.

The question remains when was the dossier written, by whom, and who contracted it to be written.

The article about electric scooters in LA is kind of laughable. The city thought it was great to cut down on cars on the streets. They somehow assumed kids wouldn't grab them and joy ride on them. Run over people on sidewalks and ride in traffic causing accidents. Then discard them all sorts of ways when they run out of power. I liked how they piled them all up and set them on fire...among other ways of destroying them.

That fits with my hypothesis that once a city gets to a population of over 30K it becomes a liberal Hell because of the invasion of the FSA. And also its corollary that you need to live at least 30 miles from its city limits so that WHEN it collapses you have time to get in your car and run like hell for the hills.

The animation style is being called anime by Engadget but no its not. When compared to such current anime offerings as Lupin the Third Part 5 it is very bland and simple. Even Gundam Build Divers's animation style is more complicated and unique.

123 In World War II news, researchers have located the sunken stern of the Fletcher class destroyer USS Abner Read. During the invasion of Kiska on 18 Aug 1943 the ship was struck by a mine which blew everything aft of the #4 5in mount off including the propellers and rudders. 70 sailors are entombed in the wreckage which settled in an almost upright position. The explosion also ruptured the smoke generators, the resultant chemical cloud enveloped the ship and gagged many of the crew.

By December 1943 the destroyer had been fitted out with a new stern and returned to action. The ship and some of her crew would have eleven more months to live. On 1 Nov 1944 in Leyte Gulf, an Aichi Val dive bomber managed to survive a withering hail of anti-aircraft fire to crash into the starboard side of the aft stack. Flaming gasoline spewed everywhere and then a magazine detonated. Thirty-six minutes after impact the ship went down with 19 sailors and three officers dead.

177 A couple weekends ago I tried making bacon in the microwave. I had previously used the conventional oven. It took a little experimentation with cooking times, but eventually I was pleased with the result.

I used a dinner plate lined with paper towels, but I had to arrange the bacon so it wouldn't hang over the side. Friday night I went to Bed, Bath, & Beyond to see if I could find a rectangular tray the right size, and I found one for $10. The bacon sits atop ridges and the grease drips between them. I tried it yesterday and it works well.

I also picked up a Thirstystone coaster. It sounds like it's supposed to absorb moisture. It remains to be seen how it works with a beer bottle with the air conditioning off, but at least it's big enough for my coffee mug, which didn't fit in my old coaster. It looks nicer, too.

So I seem to have solved two minor household problems in one shopping trip for less than $15. I call that winning.

182 So I go to a local park along the Chattahoochee River yesterday to take my family out on our raft for the afternoon and come back around dusk to find out you could not leave because the road was closed for a 13k marathon. (You would think there would have been some notice posted at the entrance) I had wait two hours for it to pass which wasn't too bad since it is a nice park but they had set up a water station there and were blasting loud rap music that you could not escape, making the wait hellish.

Adding insult to injury, I looked into this marathon and found out the proceeds go to some organizations doing outreach and programs for people in need in South Africa. I think it is safe to say the aid will not not be going white farmers about to robbed and murdered but those doing the robbing and murdering.
