The Morning Rant

talking ape.jpg
"The NY Times sort of screwed the pooch when they hired Sarah Jeong, an open racist, to sit on their editorial board, didn't they? Their lame explanation was only marginally less stupid that CBS's attempt to let it itself off the hook for publishing those crap RatherGate memos. She left a trail of hate a mile wide. Many are combing the Twitter beaches and are collecting her incriminating tweets like souvenirs. So now the Times is in a jam. They can try to brazen it out by keeping her on, and risk diminishing their already tarnished brand, or they can rescind their job offer and risk getting their asses sued off by a certified member of an aggrieved minority who will no doubt claim she was a victim of racism. If that happens, the hot woke-on-woke action will be epic. But I don't think it'll come to that. I think the suits at the NY Times are going to double down on stupid and weather the storm. No one at that newspaper will have the guts to fire a minority hire. Also, her tweets spewing hate at whites and Jews are men (and even the NY Times!) aren't really new or shocking, I'm sure most progs hold the same opinions. The only difference is that Jeong was dumb enough to voice them aloud, and so now they're in the public record. Which only goes to show you don't need to poke a prog very hard to have the hate spurt out like hot lava."

Alligator. Alligator.
Can be your friend
Can be your friend
Can be your friend too.

The alligator is my friend.
He can be your friend too.
If only you would understand
That he has feelings, too.
- Chorus

The alligator laughs and sings.
He never cries the blues.
I'd rather have him as my friend
Than have him for my shoes.

The alligator ate my friend.
He can eat your friend too.
If only you would understand
That he is hungry, too.

Yes, of course they will wait it out. Just like every other corporation could have easily done instead of opting for censorship and thus indirectly revealing what their preferences are. For example, Amazon getting rid of a civil war board game, because it used a confederate flag. Or Google banning pro-life ads. Or apple banning conservative podcasts from iTunes (no I'm not even talking about anyone controversial like Alex Jones). Or youtube.

Heck. Even the FBI can wait things out and then say of Scalise or Mandalay Bay "There is nothing to see here. No politics or ideology involved".

This is why the left spends so much time redefining the language. We won't get into how the word "racism" was manufactured in the 20th century for the avowed purpose of getting the herd to ignore the existence of race....Oh, wait. I just did! Anyway, racism was originally used to claim that there is no such thing as race and anyone who things so is a bigot. But, today, you can only be "racist" if you imply there is a difference between the races AND if that "racist" is part of the group that is in power. If you are a minority, you are absolved of your "racist" remarks. And those assholes that use this definition of race will never crack a smile or break out into laughter while doing it.

Well, since Trump went ahead and endorsed James ahead of the primary, if James doesn't win , then I"m not sure what Trump will do with Pensler. He certainly won't negate him , but how much effort he'll put behind him might be a concern.

and Trump's endorsements and campaigning efforts for Republican candidates matter, because lord knows, the GOP is so inept. Particularly here in Michigan. These are the first candidates with a prayer of beating the Dem incumbents in years, because normally the MI GOP has to beg someone retired from government to run. Cuthbert's Opinion on the subject of straws:
There is nothing greater in the public food domain than the straw, be it plastic or paper (though uncommon these days). A clean and sanitary drinking device that only I touch when I tear the paper off, offers me a fighting chance to not have the feces of some San Francisco hobo contaminate me when I drink out of the paper cup they just smeared their hands all over at the quicky mart or Mc D's
Leave the F-ing straws alone.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies.

The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."

338 I used to listen to NASCAR radio on Sirius when I subscribed. Followed all the dramas, had a fave driver, 2nd fave, all of that. But that even started to bore me because I can't go to an actual race due to the noise factor.

I kind of keep an eye on it from afar now.

You have to love their logic. Chopsticks were invented because knives were outlawed because they were too much like weapons.

Ok. How does the fork fit into that, and how does the the chopstick not equate to a spear?

Yup. She makes fun of people for mispronouncing her name, not knowing
how to make rice. Uh, you're not in South Korea, you're in America, hon

It would help if furriner's properly used the pronunciations of the alphabet. Like the French - who seem to have taught the Vietnamese - who seem to think 'When' is spelled NGUYEN.

So if we mis-pronounce her name, maybe it is because she did a shitty job picking the letters that closely approximate IN ENGLISH how her name is pronounced. She can take it up with her parents. How the flock do people think there are so many variations of names in this country that are all the same name - had to do with the owners of the name not being able to read or write, and the spelling of their name was then up to the ability of whatever clown was writing it down in the book when they got off the ship at the pier.

LED bulbs have replaced every curly-q bulb and

incandescent bulb in the Kim haus. The LED's are better in every way

than any other option. Costs are coming down for new bulbs and they use

less energy than any other bulb out there and are a market driven

solution that beat out the tubes and the curly-q's. Whats not to like

about that? (lasts longer too).

LED bulbs are not good for areas like where I live that get a lot of lightning. A lightning strike that creates a power surge will blow at the electronics in the base.

Honestly, I think you can make a wax lined paper straw that will hold up to 1/2 hour of immersion and you would have a winner product.

Of course the lefties would shit over that cause "That's not the point!" "It's not about the cake or the straw"

Posted by: Cuthbert the Witless at August 06, 2018 12:27 PM (ymnmz)

But that would defeat the purpose. The various straw bans are bans on distribution of a product that's perfectly legal to own and use. There's no distribution if the customer makes his own straw by pressing the button.

Of course, the main purpose is to piss off the commies.

363 Seems to be a thing with immigrants: mock America, Americans for not getting their native culture right (such as how Brits often commenting that we don't know how to prepare a proper cup of tea). Aaaaand in the next breath, it's whining about cultural appropriation.

========

For some reason, it bothers me with the Brits since I think they are sincere and unreflective about their sense of superiority. But with other immigrants the left, either through cultural messages or personal interactions, puts a chip on their shoulder and fills them full of imaginary resentments. And they just go along with it. Clockboys do not germinate in a vacuum. They are carefully cultivated.

Turns out the failure rate for reasonably priced LED bulbs is not better than incandescent bulbs. When you cost out the two types on a time in service per penny paid it is very close. Failure seems to be the power conversion circuitry dies due to heat. Waiting for the new lights that have a power module that screws into the outlet and a led array that plugs into the power module.

Get your act together Feit.
