In this case I have a legitimate criticism. The rearing horse is small out of all proportion to the standing men. It's possible that the rider is a circus midget, but otherwise he's also out of proportion.
I do like Remington's sculptures, though.

The math is not as daunting as it looks. Democrats are leading in Florida, Tennessee, and Nevada. I expect those leads to hold. That Republicans were only up by 1 percentage point in Indiana looks problematic for Republicans to say the least. For the sake of argument, put that in the Democrat column.

Funny thing is, I just looked her up the other day. I mentioned her around here... said something about how the older she got, the better she looked. At least up to the point where she appeared in Arrested Development.
She's not that young anymore, so yeah, thin and craggy looking these days, apparently. Still, whoever selected that photo, I'd have to say they have a grudge against her. Because you CAN find better pics of her these days.

She looks pretty rough, for sure. I can't find anything about drug use but there is plenty of stuff about her anorexia and bulimia. A long lasting eating disorder will make you look like hell from the malnutrition and overall damage to your body.

I do as well - the 3 best collections of his works that I'm aware of are the Buffalo Bill museum in Cody, Wyoming; the Amon Carter Museum of American Art in Fort Worth, and the small but extremely well supplied Sid Richardson Museum in downtown Fort Worth. Yes, Ryan introduced his "Better Way" direction when the Congress reconvened after Trump was elected. He held a press conference with examples of the numerous page booklet titled, "A Better Way" and it included the replacement for Obamacare, Tax reform, etc. It was the playbook for the Republican congress. What he didn't count on was jerks like McCain, etc. who would vote no on repealing Obamacare, etc. It was very detailed, etc and a lot of it was enacted, as it had support by Trump.
Most of the posters on here completely ignored it because they had already decided Paul Ryan was an asshole for withdrawing his support of Trump pre election when the Billy Bush tape dropped and they decided to block out anything Ryan said or did from then on.

You'll have to update me on the latest Ryan outrage. Republicans were elected to repeal Obamacare and do Tax Reform, which Ryan has been calling for since Obamacare was enacted. Trump got elected because he promised to do the same thing , along with a host of other things in the Executive branch purview.
I'm not up to speed on the latest "Paul Ryan Said This, How Awful" outrage. The comment I responded to was that no one had heard of " A Better Way" which is not correct. It was discussed on this blog in addition to other places .
Ryan was named speaker in 2015, he had written several position papers prior to that date. He released A Better Way in June of 2016 before Trump was even the nominee.

A huge setback was mandatory seat-belt laws and the citizenry acquiesced to the govt making that decision for adults. It has reached ridiculous levels of intrusion such as kids under 12 and under must sit in the back seat AND with a seat belt. Incidentally, we were told there would never be anything like a ticket issued unless there was another violation involved. Now only was that BS but now the police set up roadblocks to check everybody is strapped in and bubble-wrapped (and give you a ticket.)

A few weeks ago we received a new neighbor at work. A medi-flight crew, with a Bell 407 choppah. They put in a landing pad across the street, so every morning we get them overflying our building at about 80 feet.
Lucky that it's a 407, which is relatively quiet. If it was a UH1-variant, I'd already be cutting a bitch.

On the way up, there was the most horrific wreck I've ever seen, about 45 minutes south of Atlanta on I-75. The entire interstate was shut down, four cars totaled, and one was unrecognizable.
I was driving, and as we approached the smashed car (couldn't even tell what make it was), emergency personnel held up a white sheet to keep people from seeing the body(ies) being extracted.

Zod, I bought mine for $5 at an auction. Its a Mark IV Jungle Carbine and it will leave a mark on your shoulder, but they were very cheap to pickup. Ammo is little more expensive. Splurge.

I went to the bank yesterday, parked my car, and was walking across the small parking lot to enter the building. Someone was backing out of the space right in front of the door (normal space, not handicapped space). This person backs out about one car length, turning so that they could then go forward and away (from my right to left as I'm waiting and watching).
Suddenly this person stops, half pulled out, and at an angle, and sits there. I'm waiting, because this person is directly between me and the front door, and I don't know which way this person is going. After about 30 seconds (it might have been 10s, but it seemed to be a long time), the driver slowly goes forward, barely missing the car parked alongside, and drives away.
It was an asian-looking woman.
I mentally shook my head and thought, "Well, there's another reinforcement to a number of stereotypes."

I will agree that Marylanders are the worst drivers in the US. In the DMV, I am always wary of those plates.
Favorite move is the cutoff. Usually that happens, and they have a "PROUD TO BE A DEMOCRAT" sticker. Yeah, I guessed.
