6 Update on the non working fridge working freezer. I got it back to life with a hair dryer to the coils in the freezer. This defrosted it so cool air gets into the fridge part. Meanwhile the wife went and purchased a new one. Should be delivered Wednesday. The place we bought it from is an appliance dealer, and they provided us with a free loaner until the new one gets delivered. Price for the fridge is the exact same price as Home Depot, which I'm sure would not provide a loaner. All the food is good.

They are also popular with bikers thru the weekend. They rope off an area that is for bike parking only. But, they put signs up that no wearing of colors.
So you've got a bar where locals, bikers, and boaters all meet up, listen to some local bands, have some good food, and go home happy.

On reflection I suspect that is exactly what the left is hoping for. They will label any response to violence as non proportional and overly aggressive and turn the whole thing into how Trump is violent against peaceful protestors etc.

I'm really appreciating the chance to see the Balkans, which most Americans don't get. Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro have a lot of history, great food, and are dirt cheap to visit. The flights out here cost a bit more, but everything else is a third what you'd pay in the US. Greece, Croatia, and parts of Serbia get more tourists and can be much more expensive.

The only one that is polling Likely Voters (they all should be at this point, but they are not) is Rasmussen and they give the dems a 4+ advantage, which means they are under water as dems traditionally need ~5-6+ just to stay even due to gerrymandering.

They might generate a tidy bowl wave in November but that's about it. They literally blew a 17+ point lead back in February and if they keep pushing this open border $hit it will only get worse for them.

The common thread is great bread, served with lots of cream and oil based sauces. Not sure what the traditional meals are after that, because it's a melting pot. Lotz of Turkish influence from the Ottomans, but plenty of Italian and German influence, too. With the ocean nearby, there's lots of seafood, and Kosovo especially has a lot of trout farms, which I find odd, but it's quite popular.

Tons of coffee, and a very relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere. Makes work frustrating, because we Americans want to work work work, but good people in Kosovo that love Americans more 5han any other nationality in the world, I'd reckon.

This reminds me of the story that came out some years ago about some minor DC political functionary who was overheard by one of the "dindo nuffin" crowd using the word "niggardly". Naturally the eavesdropper went screaming "raycis, raycis" and the guy was fired on the spot.

However, this individual's story (probably because even though he was an Evil White Male, he was also The Ghey) made it into the media, and someone finally picked up a dictionary and looked up the word "niggardly". After much huffing, puffing and harruphing by the local DC city administration, this fellow got his job back.

yeah that is a big deal. Chicago gets an extra rep for their ~700k illegals, so we get loud mouth Gutierrez always advocating for open borders and illegals. That offsets ten 70k cities in the parts of the state that vote 70% Trump.

and as the article points out, it also gives electoral votes to illegals. TX and AZ maybe offset a few, and FL is we win it, but CA, IL, NY all get extra. It is crazy ... and corrupt.

Great minds think alike. I was thinking of having the delivery guys put the old one in the garage this morning. I could handle the "not wanna defrost" problem by just turning it off for 24 hours every so often and leave the doors closed. Problem is, space in the garage is tight.

All restaurants will suffer.

Pressure applied to the OTHER NRA - the National Restaurant Association - would produce some interesting results.
Maybe they could be induced to police their own ranks.

On our 43 year old kitchen GE fridge, the defrost timer is located behind the bottom grill. A small motor with a leaf switch. I replaced it three times over the years for less than 30 bucks a pop. Sometimes they get stuck in the "defrost" mode, or in the normal mode. They do have a little nylon shaft with a screwdriver slot where the unit can be rotated manually if the unit gets stuck. I tend to stay away from the modern microprocessor based appliances. Been repairing electronic tech for over 50 years for a living. Don;t need to do it at home as well! LOL!!
