The Morning Rant

Donny Two-Scoops will be filling in GP today, who has the day off.

trump g7 2.jpg

"Look, Mrs. Merkel, I don't know who you think you're dealing with, but I'm telling you this borderless global world order garbage you're trying to sell me is a non-starter. That's just not happening. And you're trying to get America to fund it, too. Did George Soros tell you you could do that? That's rich. Well, we're not falling for it. You thought maybe you could roll me like Obama got rolled? Yeah, right. Just ask the Iranians, they had him over a barrel saying thank you as the mullahs pantsed him and poked him one after the other. He was a disgrace, a complete disgrace, and America is better off with him out of the picture. Oh, and the little runt spied on my campaign, you know that? I'll bet you didn't. Well, it's true. Anyway, from now on, I'm looking after America's interests first, and by America's interests, I don't mean the interests of the GOPe donor class and their cronies in the Chamber of Commerce. So I won't be signing on to any bad trade deals that do nothing but increase our unemployment and debt while you euro-commies reap the benefits. America is not the world's piggy bank. Those days are over. Bill Kristol is going to have to pay full price for his pool boy. No, don't listen to him, he's an idiot, a complete moron who is still living off of his daddy. So you can talk to the 'Stache here. He's a helluva guy. You may not like John, but you know something? He doesn't like you, either. I didn't bring him here to win a popularity contest. Come to think of it, John probably doesn't like me very much either. But we both of us love America, and that's what counts."

Alito on voter rolls:

The dissents have a policy disagreement, not just with
Ohio, but with Congress. But this case presents a question of statutory interpretation, not a question of policy. We have no authority to second-guess Congress or to decide whether Ohio's Supplemental Process is the ideal method for keeping its voting rolls up to date. The only question before us is whether it violates federal law. It does not.

The judgment of the Sixth Circuit is reversed.

Yes. The 4 libs absolutely believe that they have the Right to impose their policy preferences on the Congress and on all the states - that is what Liberal judicial thinking is all about these days. They believe that the Judiciary, controlled by them, should be an absolute tyranny with no checks or balances which can impose it's will in any way they see fit.

Bingo. I think this is what a lot of career government types and pressitutes don't get. It isn't about being friends, it is about being effective while keeping your eye on the prize.
The prize is a resurgence of sovereignty, routing out of corruption and increasing liberty in the face of the borderless NWO types and other statist weasels. Just because I don't want to go to your kid's Bar Mitzvah and we disagree on (x) doesn't mean we can't work together toward purging the cancer from our government.

Have a link handy? I wouldn't mind taking a look. The picture at the top of this thread says, to me, two things:
1) No one really like PDT

If I were big on the "crush the American imperialists!" train, I would use this picture to prove my point. They may hate him, but they're there, standing before a seated US President, airing grievances and being reminded as to who seems to be holding the cards.

_________________________

There's a decision coming up that could help reduce your taxes. Not by slashing welfare rolls, but by slashing public union rolls. The Supremes are soon to issue their ruling in the case in which a challenge was made to public unions' right to force members to join and pay dues. If, as anticipated, that decision goes against the unions, then public unions could soon face an exodus of paying members, which would lessen the unions' clout at the bargaining table, which will be good for taxpayers.

It reminds me of when Reagan just walked away from summits with the Soviet Union because they were being jackwagons. The press had fits, they were terrified of war, they predicted utter failure. Question is.... why would Russia do that?

They don't have the population to for even the Land they already have... there are vast untapped resources in Russia.

Add in that they would be trying to control a population 5 TIMES their size?

There is no way they could sustain that... it would break them, just as it did the Soviet Union.

Now, do they want the EU directly on their border???? Hell no, which is how you get things like the invasion of Georgia right after we had US troops running 'excercises' on their border... or you get the Ukraine, when you have a coup overthrow a government friendly to them, to put in a government which want to join the EU... (once more putting the EU directly on their border).

The Russians are NOT our friends... but the EU is dragging us into confrontations with them, that help the EU... not the US.
