The Morning Rant

talking ape.jpg
"Back in the summer of 2014, the Palestinians claimed that Israel had killed 2,100 during their operations in Gaza. But the 2,100 figure is a composite of Palestinian deaths from all causes, including 760 from natural causes, 120 Fatah members killed by Hamas, which also killed 400 "opposition fighters", 50 protestors, and 38 collaborators, not to mention 100 civilians dead in Shijaiyah. When you add these to the 900+ terrorists killed by the IDF, you get 2,368 total give or take. ZERO civilian casualties by the IDF. So, unlike the gullible fops who run the BBC, you never want to believe casualty figures provided by the Palestinians because they're lying sacks of sh*t."

It's a parallel universe, with its own vernacular/definitions for words. Their definition of treason does not match ours, no doubt.

My guess would be "stealing the election," "destroying the planet" by pulling out of the Paris Accords, or possibly starting WWIII by pulling out of the Iran deal?

The American Law Institute (ALI) was established in 1923 to promote the clarification and simplification of United States common law and its adaptation to changing social needs.[1] Members of ALI include law professors, attorneys, judges and other professionals in the legal industry. ALI writes documents known as "treatises", which are summaries of state common law (legal principles that come out of state court decisions.) Many courts and legislatures look to ALI's treatises as authoritative reference material concerning many legal issues. However, some legal experts and the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia have voiced concern about ALI rewriting the law as they want it to be instead of as it is.[2]

The Palestinians are too stupid, too violent and too corrupt to run their own little patch in Gaza. Place could be a tourist hotspot, but no, they're off rioting and grievance mongering.

No one really gives a damn about them anyway. Expelled from Jordan, expelled from Tunisia, expelled from Lebanon. If they were shoveled into Egypt they'd all be dead in a week.

Their sole purpose is to be used as a club with which to beat Israel and the US. And even those who were using the club are giving up on them.

There is to be no argument about this whatsoever. Trying to muddle things up with "facts" is not tolerated.

Trump is guilty of colluding with the Russians. No worries, the dead guy just rolled over, got up and walked away.

I saw a side by side set of pictures yesterday of similar fakery.

Picture 1: Little boy squatting down, grinning into the camera. Around him are several slaughtered chickens and a lot of blood all over the ground.

Picture 2: The chickens and feathers are nowhere to be seen, little boy is lying down in an awkward position, arranged to make it look like he's dead and surrounded by blood.

253 Was talking with a liberal friend a couple of days ago and he stated, as if it were a beyond-the-shadow-of-a-doubt fact, that Russia hacked into American computer systems and altered vote totals so Trump could win.

I've heard loads of lefties argue that Russia provided Trump with the Hillary emails.

Here's where the "logic" gets confusing. There's nothing in the emails, Hillary sat and answered questions for hours and nothing came out of it. BUT, at the same time, the emails are totally real and public perception of them was bad.

Trump's "collusion" then was receiving and disseminating true, but harmless emails, that stupid ammo-sexuals then blew up out of proportion and tilted the election in Trump's favor.

And here's the best part: Receiving that info from a foreign power is the unconscionable treason.

If you ask if that goes the same for the Steele "dossier", you either get incoherent mumbling, no answer, angry shouting, or my favorite, "The Steele dossier originated with the Republicans".

I may have gone to that church in Waco-tiny little Baptist church that put on some UH-mazing potluck spreads. As a humble college student, it was comforting to go to church, help set up and then have sweet older ladies in their Sunday best fill up my paper plate with fried chicken, barbeque, ham and vegetables fresh picked from their garden that morning. And the desserts!!! My goodness.

Baptists definitely believe in feeding the body as well as the soul. Maybe a bit too much.

how to get "yanny" out of that. Admittedly the consonants are mostly
imagined - but the way I would say "Yanny" is with the "a" as in "apple"

for the first vowel, and an "eh" for the second, which to me fits in
with "laurel".

I don't think this criticism applies. It's not whimsical perception-shifting. *Based on what she actually did* as governor of SC, I was not impressed with her. And now, *based on what she actually has been doing* as our ambassador to the UN, she's doing a great job. It doesn't mean that I now believe she's now magically turned into a 100% true conservative. In fact, I doubt that she is. Her job performance at the UN so far has been a (pleasant) surprise. I didn't think she had it in her.

I remember in the McCain/Romney years that one of the NRO crew wrote an article saying essentially give up on finding cultural conservatives for higher office - instead find someone transactionally conservative - they'll govern your way because they want your votes...

Of course Romney and McCain can't help themselves governing as leftists...but it looks like we finally found someone that could pull off the act in Trump.

Though this being said, "far right wing" Trump based on the politics of 2018 would have been a run of the mill democrat circa 1988...

You have no liberal "friends" , you sadly and dangerously delude yourselves if you think that you do.

You have liberal acquaintances who will knife you in the back and steal all of your stuff the first time they get a chance to do so, that's what you've got. Now there may be reasons why it's advantageous to keep them as acquaintances, but always be ready for them to turn on you, and just to do a favor for the rest of us, always be ready to shiv them in the back if the opportunity ever presents itself for you to do it cleanly.

370 Trump was America First way back in 1990 (and before) on C-SPAN where he complained about tax policy harming American (his cause was real estate) investment, and pushing money into global stocks.

He was also big on keeping American jobs ... which was then a union/Dem thing (iirc) and should be a conservative thing (conserving American commerce and industry, and conserving Americans and their jobs/way of life, etc.)

Hard to say how much he really changed ... the left has gone much further left, so if he stayed the same since 1990 he would be much less "Democrat" than he was then.

isn't it Soros that was behind the vote machines, where the count
could be rigged? And just today I saw the article about Broward
officials illegally destroying ballots
***
The way the left normally stuffs the ballots works like this:

Pick a Dem stronghold where all the election officials are Dems and the party break down is 80-90% Dem.

When the paper votes come in, take some number of them and put them in a car trunk or something.

Swap them out with the same number of votes manufactured for their candidate.

If the election isn't close, destroy the trunk ballots. Since it isn't close no one will look closely at the results.

If it is close, role out the ballots you hid. They are valid , honestly cast ballots so there is no way to establish that they are false. Since those votes will be at least 60% in favor of their candidate they will add a bump however.

The only after effect from this effort that you can see is that the number of ballots counted can end up being way higher then the number of eligible voters.

And how many Dem strong holds have you seen come up with greater then 100% turn out?

The problem is that when a committee recommends prosecution/ indictment...it falls on a Federal Attorney to file the charges. I'm not confident at this point that they will do so.

399 286, the issue is not as clearcut as you would like on the natural born citizenship. Wong Kim dealt with the kids of a legal resident who is subject to the jurisdiction of the U.S. via that era's "green card". It is unclear that citizenship would be automatically conferred upon illegals or other transients as foreign citizens they would not automatically be subject to the jurisdiction of the U.S. For example, Native Americans were not considered citizens of the U.S. until Congress granted that (not the courts) during the 1920's despite the 14th Amendment. They were considered citizens of their Indian Nation. Immigration and nationalization were long considered plenary powers of Congress that can be used with little restriction by the courts. The president then by the virtue of delegated powers was situated to exercise that power to implement immigration laws.

Thus, the long standing practice of the courts was to consider immigration laws on the rational basis std. as people not admitted to the U.S. lack the power to challenge such under the Bill of Rights absent privileges established by ordinary statutory law. Immigration law has permitted all kinds of distinctions that would not be permitted in domestic legislation such as viewpoint discrimination.

The language of the 14th includes the limiting phrase of subject to the jurisdiction of the U.S. which has been construed to limit the common law Blackstone doctrine of natural born. E.g children of foreign diplomats are not considered U.S. citizens absent other criteria.

The meaning of the language of the 14th can be viewed by reading the debates in Congress for ratification for the 14th. The primary reason for it was due to Dred Scott which declared that African Americans could never be considered as citizens of the U.S. as part of its holding. Thus, this provision was designed to forestall Southern states from using Dred Scott to deny blacks citizenship within those states.

400 Trump is a nationalist seeking to restore a common American Identity to unite everybody, close our borders, stop the invasion, and put Americans First. I don't see how you get any more "culturally conservative" than that.

What would make him more culturally conservative?

The closest I can come to an explanation is that he didn't so much become a conservative as he got sick and tired of the results of decades of liberal polices wreaking havoc on his business and the country. It happens, I've just never seen it happen in such dramatic fashion.

He was a pro-America Democrat but the more he witnessed their inner workings the more he moved to the right.

Becoming president was a real eye opener for him.

Here's my pet theory:
Trump grills his advisers. He wants answers that make sense. Leftists simply cannot handle two or three deep followup questions that get compared to the real world. You only have to drill down an inch or two before you reach the core of emotions and utopianism.

So Trump leans on advisers that have had to defend their positions vigorously; then he forges his own path.

404 Hard to say how much he really changed ... the left has gone much further left, so if he stayed the same since 1990 he would be much less "Democrat" than he was then.

I think it also has to do with two personality traits of Trump - he loves praise, and he's a born counterpuncher.

The dems played him so badly! Attacking him for everything he ever said, ever did, not even a hint of accommodation if he offered them something - they did everything they could to arouse a deep seated animosity in him, when they didn't have to, they could have treated him better and gotten MUCH better results.

Meanwhile, over on the other side is the Christian voters, supporting him, refusing to criticize him, thanking him for what he did, forming a political base for him. So, surprise surprise, he actually did what all truly successful politicians do - he rewarded and supported the people who supported him, and he attacked the people who attacked him.

Funny how the GOP-e has NEVER figured that one out.

Native Born Citizens are under the 14th. Natural born citizens born on American soil with both parents being American Citizens.

Nikki Haley parents were not citizens when she was born on American Soil so therefore she is a Native Born Citizen.

I was pissed when conservatives caved on Obama in 2008 about this and other shit and pinched right. And spoiler alert the right wing was correct all along about Obama eligibility.

407 399 286, the issue is not as clearcut as you would like on the natural born citizenship. Wong Kim dealt with the kids of a legal resident who is subject to the jurisdiction of the U.S. via that era's "green card".

Niki Haley was the child of legal residents who were subject to the jurisdiction of the US. In her case, it is exactly and perfectly on point. No question that Niki Haley is a Natural Born Citizen.

btw, Native Americans were not "subject to the jurisdiction of" because they were either out in the wilds, or on Reservations which were legally treated (back then) as autonomous nations. (it was a farce, but whatever)
In the 20th century, "Subject to the Jurisdiction" has come to mean that if you can be arrested for committing a crime, even jaywalking, then you are "subject to the jurisdiction of". Pretty much the only people that lets out are foreign ambassadors who have immunity from US law, and who live in compounds that are considered to be a legal part of their country of origin.

410 I am so glad that some have decided to fight over the native born thing. AGAIN.

According to the Immigration and Naturalization Act...constitutionally passed by the Congress and signed by the President...Nikki Haley is a native-born citizen of the country. So. is. Ted. Cruz.

Full stop. Want to argue about her policy views? FINE.

It gets old, you know?

411 I don't care if Nikki's "caboose" is that big. Match her backside up against that of Queen Moochie or Felonia von Pantsuit, and her derriere is suddenly very small potatos. Of course von Pantsuit looks like she's carrying a bag of potatoes.

Ah well Nikki--you go girl. Walk out when appropriate; maybe show a middle digit as well. If Obama could give the finger to Hillary (maybe the only thing he did right) you can flip off any prevaricating Palestinian "diplomat" spokeshole.

412 Now that everybody has gone to to other threads, I just wanted to thank OregonMuse for the Church name generator from the Bablyon Bee. I laughed at Cornerstone Non Denominational (but actually Baptist) Church because there is a community church up the road from the church which I serve and it actually is a Baptist church that changed its name to something else.

Also, the new church name I got was Willow Inspirational Oikos which made it sound like they eat a lot of Greek yogurt there. LOL. That was actually preferable to my second attempt which was CedarPineGrove Hug- Giving Tabernacle. After the MeToo movement I think you need to be careful about hugs. ;^)
