Reacts badly on a chemical basis with Titanium. The reaction causes a brittleness where the Titanium has been scraped with the Vanadium, leading to stress-fractures.
Which is why there were precisely *zero* Chrome-Vanadium tools on an SR-71 or A-12 flight line.
Something also to keep in mind if any of you own a Taurus "Total Titanium" revolver, or other firearm with Titanium in it's makeup. A close inspection of your gunsmithing tools might just be in order, there.

If it won't crank ... you can TRY taking the breather off and hitting the carb straight with cleaner. Sometimes ... that's enough to get it started, and if you'll continue to squirt cleaner when it starts to die - you may burn the shit out of the carb. I've done that before.
I wouldn't try that getting it started more than a few minutes. If you can't get it started that way - then I think you're in for remove/rebuild/replace like the other guys said.
And that reminds me - I haven't turned over my generator this year either. I should do that this weekend. I'm bored - may do it now.

Working just fine. I can see this PC screen here with it, about 16" from my face, using no optic at all. My left eye, with the contact lens in it, still needs a reading glass. And my distance vision is good, too. I go back and forth over which eye is sharper at distance.
No pain or discomfort, save for one day, when it felt as though there was a foreign object in there.
I am quite happy, so far.
And I got the transmission fixed in my suburban. Apparently it was the input shaft speed sensor, which I replaced with one from a spare transmission, and it has run fine since. But maybe it was just a glitchy cable connection under there. Who knows for sure? But it's done circa 200 miles with no relapses.

Yeah, you and me both. My battles with Briggs and Stratton engines would make Patton shake his head. After a time you have to retreat. I'm not there yet with the generator. As for the Poulan...maybe there's a reason the hardware guy kept trying to sell me a Stihl.

Good about the eye.
I have a front wheel sensor connector that's funky. The abs dash light comes and goes as the intermittent does. Since it generally makes good once the wheel starts bouncing around, I haven't fussed with it.
Also, horn button contact is oxidized. I have to pull the cover/airbag off about once a year to burnish that. PIA, as I'm not keen on handling the airbag.

I have a technical question about the HQ.
When I go to the front page of the site with either Chrome or Pale Moon, the formatting of the site is wonky. The font is larger Times New Roman, and all the links are old-school blue text with underline.
This doesn't happen with IE, so I'm thinking there might be an extension or add-on that's messing with it in the other two browsers.
Has anyone else encountered this, and is there a remedy?

It is really much more ridiculous than that. Islam says that God us essentially unknowable. It says that Allah (who really isn't God, but anyway) is not bound by any rules, self-imposed or otherwise, and does whatever he wants. Allah told Mo what to do and when to do it, and now muzzies are supposed to do just as Mo did, or else they are not doing what Allah told them to do, but none of that means dick because whether you go to heaven or hell is completely out of your hands.
There is no reason to investigate nature if you are a muzzie because Allah can just change it if he feels like it. There is no reason for scientific inquiry at all. The entire universe is and will remain a complete mystery, beyond our grasp.

Mine has a shut-off between the tank and carb. Shutting that off and letting it run the carb dry before winter usually does the trick. Makes it a bitch to start the first time though.

Loved Melania's hat. It was sophisticated, not too big, didn't have any stupid flowers or doodads on it and matched her suit perfectly. She was absolutely flawless for the reception this morning for the Macrons.
And to be fair, Madame Macron stepped up her game and looked very good. Skirts were appropriate length(remember the mini skirts she wore to world meetings last year?) and her outfits have been classic and clean lined.
Melania's gown for this evening was spectacular. Most of what she has worn over the last two days is a nod to French designers, such Givenchy.
Additionally, I would like to scold Pres. Trump and Pres. Macron for tromping all over the grass at Mt. Vernon yesterday , oblivious to their first ladies mega heels . If you men ever had to walk in stilettos across a lawn, you would understand. Not only is it a complete balancing act as your heel spikes into the ground, it trashes the heel. Both ladies handled it without any mishap, but I'm sure they both were wondering what kind of press photo ops they might be giving any moment.

Melania's gown for this evening was spectacular. Most of what she has worn over the last two days is a nod to French designers, such Givenchy.
Additionally, I would like to scold Pres. Trump and Pres. Macron for tromping all over the grass at Mt. Vernon yesterday , oblivious to their first ladies mega heels . If you men ever had to walk in stilettos across a lawn, you would understand. Not only is it a complete balancing act as your heel spikes into the ground, it trashes the heel. Both ladies handled it without any mishap, but I'm sure they both were wondering what kind of press photo ops they might be giving any moment.

happened to hear one of the food channel chefs opining about tater tots one time. he was commending some guy on doing a bang up job on the handmade tots. he concluded by saying that tater tots are one of the things that food manufacturers really do a better job on than chefs because of the way they prepare the potatoes with freeze drying and other stuff.

The biggest problem - all social security, medicare, etc is instantly dissolved, anyone who depended on those to live is SOL. Also, the national debt would all simply be defaulted on, probably resulting not just in a national depression but a worldwide depression, as well. But that happens in any breakup, no matter what the terms are.

I've given up on the media to the point where I'm barely aware of most of this. I used to have at least 3 magazine subscriptions and a newspaper subscription. I would flip through CNN, FoxNews, MSNBC, HLN, and the alphabet news to see what was reported on each. I haven't bought or read a magazine or newspaper in years. I never turn on tv news anymore. F**k 'em all. As far as I'm concerned they don't exist.

Yep - it's pretty clear what he's trying to do here. He's trying to strip out the last few parts of Sears that still have value, and once they're out he's gonna declare bankruptcy, shut down all the stores, and sell off the real estate.
Of course what he doesn't realize that with malls failing across the country, the potential value of all of those wonderful real estate holdings is going to zero as soon as he shuts down all the stores.
A big Macy's in our town shut down about a year ago, that space is still vacant with no prospects of anyone wanting to move into that white elephant.

I see a lot of people saying "sue" and claiming constitutional rights
were violated, but I don't see any basis for that. Cops leaning on
someone isn't a violation of rights, being called in as a kid to the
principals office to explain something you did isn't a violation of any
rights.
The problem here isn't what they did but rather why they did it.
The motivation is the issue. I'm all for a kid being hauled up to
talk to the man if he's posting crazy stuff on the internet. Maybe if
they'd done that with Cruz, he might have been stopped.
What they did, though, was to shut up a kid who is making them look
bad and who won't conform. Their reasoning is wrong, their motivation
is suspect, not their actions.
The problem is what they did. It was an absolutely text book violation of 18 U.S. Code 241.
Here is the law:
"If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or
intimidate any person in any State, Territory,
Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment
of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of
the United States, or because of his having so exercised the
same; or
If two or more persons go in disguise on the highway, or on the premises
of another, with intent to prevent or hinder his free exercise or
enjoyment of any right or privilege so secured
They shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten
years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in
violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an
attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit
aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, they shall be fined
under this title or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or
both, or may be sentenced to death."
You may not conspire to intimidate anyone because of his having exercised his constitutional rights. Major federal felony. The fact that they were cops is irrelevant. Likely the principle of the school is also part of that conspiracy. Kyle wrote he was "scared" and they were "trying to intimidate him". There is a difference between a legal interrogation and a conspiracy against rights, and this crossed that line.
Their detention of Mr. Kashuv as part of their illegal conspiracy can be construed as a kidnapping, and opens them all up to possible federal death penalties.

Still, there are so many flaws in this point of view. Trump wears his ties down to his gonads. That's wrong. The tie comes to just below the belt buckle (except you shouldn't wear a belt, you should wear braces).

I haven't noticed a shortage of birds, not that I've looked actually. However, my daughter's pond is inundated with ducks. Ducks Ducks Ducks, everywhere. My SIL built a duck house a couple of summers ago. Maybe that has something to do with it. I've never seen so many ducks.

Have not looked in depth at the Arizona special election but the Donk Was an attractive female Dr who more than likely was lying through her teeth about everything she stands for and how she will vote.
The problem with the GOP is they for the most part are
A. Just offering up Democrat lite and
B. Not mounting a muscular defense of Trump and his supporters.
Which would be underscored by winning by 5pct in a districts Trump won by 20.
