Lileks has a nice piece on his website, about the pinup artist who paints ladies who, in the act of doing something or other, have their panties falling down around their ankles. The paintings have men in various places, gawking at her, as she stands there with a look of shock on her face.
They ladies are almost always carrying a bunch of things, like groceries. There's almost always a stalk of celery sticking out of the top of her grocery bag.
The point being: Some "artists" have a thing, and what that thing is, it's probably best the rest of us just don't ever find out.

I do agree with you, but that war has to start with us acknowledging that at the current time, our side only has about 40 loyal votes in the Senate and about 1/3 of the House loyal to us. And the vast body of the Judiciary and the Bureaucracy are still dedicated to opposing us at every step. Outside of government, we have the entire Media, all of the Education Establishment, and most of Corporate America against us.
But against that, I think we do still have a slim majority of the voters on our side. I hope.

At about the 7:20 mark she tells the officer to "shut the fuck up".
For those who don't want to watch the whole video, the police pulled the car over. Ms Turner is on scene, apparently having been called to pick up the occupants of the vehicle because the police are towing the vehicle. Her daughter was a passenger of the vehicle.
Ms Turner becomes very officious and mentions her political position and her relationship to the Port Authority police. She demands to know why the car was stopped. The police tell her all the occupants of the car are adults, and Turner should ask them. At one point they mention they will file a report, and that she can see the report on Monday.
Most of the rest of the video is Turner trying several tactics to get the information. The police also try several tactics to get her to move on.
I feel that the police did the right thing. She didn't actually want the information, she wanted to argue the case and get the car back and the ticket rescinded. They recognized that and refused to play the game. She wasn't a passenger, she is only acting as a concerned citizen, right up to the point where she starts throwing her title around. At that point she was very wrong. Telling the officer to "shut the fuck up" was icing on the crap cake.

Turnout is not that big in these off-year elections, and the margins of victory are therefore smaller. But the Republican candidate won by a healthy margin, which is what we expected to happen.

Trump and Romney each won that district by like 20+ points. The Republican that was there had routinely won by like 30 points every election.
The Republican this time won by only like 5 points against a joke candidate who supposedly had to quit medicine because of a malpractice lawsuit. She also ran on things like Single Payer.
Yea, there's "buts" like special elections are weird and there was a tough primary, but still. This should have been a comfortable double digit win for a seasoned Republican politician to have won.

Yeti - from what I've read, it appear that it started with REI Outdoors,
a retailer that I'd never heard of before, announcing that they were
cutting all ties with anyone who supported gun manufacturers or the NRA,
much like Dick's. REI carries Yeti items, so Yeti decided that they
had to knuckle under. They tried to do it quietly, but it didn't work,
and they're embarrassed to say that they only did it because a rather

Not MD, but there's a company doing it in PA, Constellation NRG, that harasses people in stores, harasses people door to door, etc. I've taken to telling them that I'm not the primary ratepayer and that I work for a regulatory agency (doesn't matter if it's true as long as the believe it). They immediately back away.
I'd suggest trying to file a complaint with whatever agency regulates electric companies in the state.
