Lileks has a nice piece on his website, about the pinup artist who paints ladies who, in the act of doing something or other, have their panties falling down around their ankles. The paintings have men in various places, gawking at her, as she stands there with a look of shock on her face.
They ladies are almost always carrying a bunch of things, like groceries. There's almost always a stalk of celery sticking out of the top of her grocery bag.

The point being: Some "artists" have a thing, and what that thing is, it's probably best the rest of us just don't ever find out.

102 Looks like some DOJ lawyers are intentionally ankling their arguments to support trumps DACA phase out. It is not difficult to argue "Federal law says this, the program is in violation of federal law in this way". It actually sounds like the judge is being reasonable, as if he wanted to side with the government, but their arguments were so (intentionally) bad, he had to rule against. I'm not even getting into the question of how we can have district judges all over the country making conflicting rulings that behold the executive to take a certain action that affects the entire country.

I suspect that FSU is planning on "extending" her current hiatus indefinitely, as a weaselly way of cutting ties without being SEEN as cutting ties.

They're gambling that they can thread a needle between the CA state govt (who will freak if they can her ass), and the public at large who would rather see her fired.

I forsee a lot of fail in this strategy, most likely by provoking Trigglyprof into legal action against FSU after she tries to come back to work.

158 A woman went to a pet shop and immediately spotted a large beautiful parrot. There was a sign on the cage that said $50.00. "Why so little?" she asked the pet store owner. The owner looked at her and said: "Look, I should tell you first that this bird used to live in a brothel, and sometimes it says some pretty vulgar things."

The woman thought about this, but decided she wanted the bird anyway. She took it home, hung its cage in her living room and waited for it to say something. The bird looked around the room, then at her, and said: "New house, new madam." The woman was a bit shocked at the implication, but then thought: "that's not so bad."

When her two teenage daughters returned from school. The bird saw them and said, "New house, new madam, new girls."

The girls and the woman were a bit offended, but then began to laugh about the situation.

Moments later, the woman's husband came home from work.

The bird looked at him and said: "Hi Bob".

200 Time to go to war, or continue being blackmailed for the next 6 & 1/2 years."

I do agree with you, but that war has to start with us acknowledging that at the current time, our side only has about 40 loyal votes in the Senate and about 1/3 of the House loyal to us. And the vast body of the Judiciary and the Bureaucracy are still dedicated to opposing us at every step. Outside of government, we have the entire Media, all of the Education Establishment, and most of Corporate America against us.

But against that, I think we do still have a slim majority of the voters on our side. I hope.

210 Video of NJ Port Authority Commissioner Caren Z Turner, former aide to Hillary Clinton, trying to intimidate police following a police stop.

https://youtu.be/S6vlu1FRaic

At about the 7:20 mark she tells the officer to "shut the fuck up".

For those who don't want to watch the whole video, the police pulled the car over. Ms Turner is on scene, apparently having been called to pick up the occupants of the vehicle because the police are towing the vehicle. Her daughter was a passenger of the vehicle.

Ms Turner becomes very officious and mentions her political position and her relationship to the Port Authority police. She demands to know why the car was stopped. The police tell her all the occupants of the car are adults, and Turner should ask them. At one point they mention they will file a report, and that she can see the report on Monday.

Most of the rest of the video is Turner trying several tactics to get the information. The police also try several tactics to get her to move on.

I feel that the police did the right thing. She didn't actually want the information, she wanted to argue the case and get the car back and the ticket rescinded. They recognized that and refused to play the game. She wasn't a passenger, she is only acting as a concerned citizen, right up to the point where she starts throwing her title around. At that point she was very wrong. Telling the officer to "shut the fuck up" was icing on the crap cake.

Then, after I'd left for work, Linda would get up, and Marie would cry again and get another meal. This continued until we happened to compare notes.

I'm surprised that cat didn't balloon up to 20 pounds.

367 Despite the media trying to spin AZ as some sort of great win for the Dims, it was basically what we typically see here in special elections. Turnout is not that big in these off-year elections, and the margins of victory are therefore smaller. But the Republican candidate won by a healthy margin, which is what we expected to happen.
Posted by: TrivialPursuer

__________

I actually think it's another bad omen.

Trump and Romney each won that district by like 20+ points. The Republican that was there had routinely won by like 30 points every election.

The Republican this time won by only like 5 points against a joke candidate who supposedly had to quit medicine because of a malpractice lawsuit. She also ran on things like Single Payer.

Yea, there's "buts" like special elections are weird and there was a tough primary, but still. This should have been a comfortable double digit win for a seasoned Republican politician to have won.

Mrs VIA has one.

It may be gone by end of day.

The fact that it's taken this long to settle that the president was acting well withing his contitutional and statutory authority is ridiculous.

Now can we get an Emergency SCOTUS ruling on the ridiculous DACA ruling?

Exactly

432 REI is actually pretty big with the crunchy crowd. Good stuff, but expensive and served with a heaping side of leftist smug.

Alas, my wife like them.
And I like their webbing, carabiners, and Wright socks.

434 I have an Academy Sports right next to REI. You might as well just throw your extra money into the street if you choose to shop at REI .

Pffft. I'm hoping that concussion fears and lawsuits brings NFL to its demise. Won't miss it a bit now that it's gone Lefty. I haven't watched a game in about 2 years and I gained a sheetload of time on Sundays to do more productive stuff.

439 Why didn't I paint a nice big boob?

Two reasons:
1) I ran out of paint, and
2) Barack Obama hadn't been born yet.

Of course they like being used! As fluffers, performing rim jobs, feltching, being sodomized, etc. You know, the usual leftist hobbies.
