LOL: Egg McMuffin Getting Letters from the FEC Telling Him He's in Violation of Law

"Sacred honor." "Eternal truths." LOL.

Former presidential candidate Evan McMullin’s failed campaign ended its quixotic journey six-figures in debt as of summer 2017, and records show it has missed every deadline to file the required financial statements since then, according to a review by The Daily Caller News Foundation.

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) sent numerous letters to the McMullin For President Committee over the last year warning that the organization risks fines for failing to file and for making errors on financial statements it did manage to submit.

McMullin’s committee was nearly $645,000 in debt just after the 2016 presidential election, according to a financial statement the group filed to the FEC in December 2016. By July 2017, it increased to nearly $670,000, that month’s filing shows.

That was the last financial statement McMullin's committee filed. Since then, the organization has missed three deadlines, including one that passed Sunday. The FEC has consequently sent the group warnings that it could face penalties if it doesn't provide the necessary information.

"It has come to the attention of the Federal Election Commission that you may have failed to file the above referenced report of receipts and disbursements or failed to file a report covering the entire reporting period as required by the Federal Election Campaign Act," reads a February letter from the FEC.

"The failure to timely file this report may result in civil money penalties, suspension of matching funds payments, an audit or legal enforcement action," the letter continues. "The civil money penalty calculation for late reports does not include a grace period and begins on the day following the due date for the report."

Let me put on my speculation cap:

This was leaked to the Daily Caller by some people who got stiffed by McMullin and who want to pressure him to pay them. Who? Well, he has a short list of vendors. Shouldn't be hard to narrow it down to a couple.

Just speculatin'.

81 We need campaign finance reform. Obviously, these burdensome regulations serve no useful purpose and new regulations enacted, regulations that are not vague and are easily understood.

When politicians can't understand the very regulations they write, then we have a serious problem. More campaign finance compliance training of all politicians is necessary. Perhaps a retreat to a convention site distant from Washington would help.

Sure, just running for office is legal, but conspiring with a criminal organization, and taking money from them, to deceive the public ... blah blah blah. "We" just need to put the Trump/Russia Inquisition (coup) Shoe on the other foot.

The Real Conspiracy was our government (and even GB and the Aussies) were involved in a criminal operation to stop Trump, who had the potential to expose their criminal (global) empire. McMuffin was a part of that conspiracy, and took money from it knowing full well what his role was.

(this is just a hypothetical argument ... because the whole Team Establishment imo, does have nefarious intent and illegal use of government resources and more, even if they have been careful to cover their tracks. DeepState is a criminal mob, and even the driver of the getaway car is guilty)

The State Department often forgets that they work for and at the pleasure of the president, to represent him and his policies. The Tohono O'Odham nation here in AZ has told both our governor and the USBP/ICE that the white man is no longer allowed on their land to enforce immigration or customs laws. They have blocked off the border road that the USBP patrols (that means 75 miles of border no longer has ANY enforcement going on). That rez is the largest drug smuggling area on the whole border.

To me, thats an act of war. Add the fact they and other reservations are claiming all water belongs to them in AZ, we may end up having to fight the red man yet again.

They want to dance, lets do it. I'm of a mood to.

374 I get the feelings of the Indians, and know quite a few. Some are angry bitter idiots, some are mellow and calm (most of them) and don't care one way or another about white eyes.

But the truth is, they lost, they should have lost, and they cannot point the bony finger of indignation at anyone else, as their tribe obliterated and sometimes even ate tribes that came before them for their land. Them being displaced by settlers was just one more step in a long, long chain of peoples being wiped out or moved aside by a different group.

The whole reservation system is horrendous and needs to end. Its a perpetual cycle of dependency and poverty, and its so ingrained into so many people that even ones who are very wealthy from casino money (and believe me, they are VERY WEALTHY) live like poor white trash. They just have a Lambo on the lawn outside their trailer now instead of a rusted ford pickup.

Really, go elsewhere.

Up here, we have coffee hut. You can drive up and get whatever you like. They are trailers that enterprising business folks park in various convenient locations and then serve up the good stuff. I'm sure most places would shut them down for building code or zoning violations, but such things are flexible up here.

Best coffee ever, because if it isn't, they go out of business.

It does astonish me and that "cream" is probably half and half or milk not heavy cream and is thus loaded with sugar. McDonald's has better "coffee." It's not burnt beans. Starbucks without any sugar in it at all is horrific. Dunkin Donut's coffee is good unsweetened and so is, shocker, 7-11. My big problem with them is that they overcharge for an inferior product, way overcharge. I don't know where they get off charging that much for that stuff.

Congressional criminal referrals are pretty rare. They don't compel the DOJ to act but they usually do. And the fact that people like Comey, McCabe and Hillary herself are part of the referral is pretty eye opening.

I'm pretty sure the criminal investigations have been going on for some time now.

469 The various Indian tribes just would not and could not band themselves together into a unified and effective fighting force. Their system and culture just weren't right for that kind of warfare.

Although I don't know that even if they had, they could have stopped the advance of the railroads and with them the loss of their lands.

The Iroquois would like a word with you.

The reason why the Indians were defeated is because they were a stone-age people technologically and were quickly rendered dependent on their enemy for weapons, tools, and basic household goods like cloth and cooking utensils. They also lost vast numbers of people to disease and had to deal with the cultural fallout from losing over half their population virtually overnight (some of the pre-Columbian cities in North America were as big as any European city, I believe).

Even so, they were doing a pretty good job resisting encroachment up to the point when the French lost Canada and the tribes were no longer able to play one white faction off of the other. The West was decisively won in 1813, everything afterwards was a mopping up operation.

476 Stolen from the interweb:

Let's start with what a referral is. It's a request by a peer branch of government that the executive branch conduct a criminal investigation. Lawmakers in their oversight capacity, and judges presiding over legal proceedings, often come across conduct that may violate federal criminal law -- particularly, obstructive behavior. Congress and the courts have no power to conduct criminal investigations and prosecutions; in our system, that is solely an executive function. So, members of Congress and judges will refer suspected criminal conduct to the Justice Department and FBI. These referrals are given respectful attention, but they impose no obligation on the executive agencies to investigate.

Posted by: Shemp at April 18, 2018 02:00 PM (CiRJp)

They were never good land stewards. Never.

The standard Injun practice was to set up camp, piss and shit all over the place, usually right next to your teepee, and then when the stench got too bad and then move a mile or so away to an unspoiled spot.

It sort of worked because the population density was so low. But it condemned you to a nomadic life, where your technology and possessions had to be portable.

The problem with sugar is that every product thinks it needs it because their focus/test group says it made the product taste better. So you start out the morning with cereal with extra sugar, throw some salad dressing on a salad with extra sugar, some bbq sauce with extra sugar, drink some beverage with extra sugar, an energy drink with extra sugar, and by the end of the day you've consumed a shitload.

568 Even 200 years ago the native American tribes were not "stewards" of anything. They just were too few in number to have significant impact. They didn't use the whole Buffalo because of some ecological principle, it was basically a supermarket and their lifestyle compelled them to use everything.

They had tens of thousands of years on this continent to get their crap together and still were stone age when Europeans arrived.

Actually, they did have a significant impact. Pre-Columbian population of North America was around 50 million people. They had cities of 10k here in the SE, IIRC. I believe that the colonists were moving into what was basically a post-apocalyptic world, with vast fields of canebrakes taking over abandoned fields and animal populations all out of whack - I think that environmental historians (yes, that is a thing) no consider those vast herds of buffalo to be a sign of a rather unhealthy ecosystem, caused by the sudden cessation of human management.

After Contact, of course, the Indians started over-hunting and over-trapping beaver and deer because they wanted something to trade for those wonderful new things the Whites could offer.

571 Jay, just reading the article on that survey is mind-blowing - even in 2018. Every third word is made-up, or is used with an implied definition that is the opposite of the actual meaning, etc.

The outfit commissioning the survey is the Haas Inst. for a Fair and Inclusive Society. My gawd. The problem with these drones and idiots is they are just that - drones and idiots. Lost in a toxic, authoritarian, racist, arrogant, social engineering power fantasy.

For some time, more reasonable surveys have shown CA views on amnesty, etc. not being too much different than the national average (agin').

This survey describes the obviously and entirely lawful, even mundane/routine executive order temporarily halting admissions from 7 failed states known as hotbeds of global jihadi recruiting based on warnings from the intel community that no real background checks and can be done as a "Muslim ban" - just to give a flavor of the outrageous distortion.
