Good Morning Morons; today is Easter and April Fool's Day, Sunday, April 1, 2018. On this day in 1970 Nixon signed into law the unconstitutional Public Health Cigarette Smoking Act which required the BS warnings on tobacco products and banned cigarette advertising on television and radio. Eventually they were banned on everything.
And I though yesterday was a slow day for Noos. No links at all today. But we do have a new RAMIREZ! http://tinyurl.com/y7v74opy And that's it for today. Posted by: Vic We Have No Party at April 01, 2018 05:55 AM (mpXpK) 4

Happy Easter Sunday, use to always go to sunrise service, and then to a big breakfast at one of the local churches with a big enough kitchen and dinning room for all. Which in this case was a Christian Alliance Church. Usually cold out their in the morning and couldn't wait for coffee. But soon coming for coffee, at least in California, and probably NYC... '...On Easter Sunday, American Christians will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which marks the triumph of good over evil, sin, and death. At the same time during Passover, Jewish Americans will celebrate their liberation from slavery in ancient Egypt. Those celebrations are profound and deeply significant.
But we should also pause to remember the Americans and their allies who, 73 years ago, fought and died during Easter and Passover to preserve our freedom and end a brutal war started by a ruthless military dictatorship intent on enslaving the people it conquered. We and the world owe them more than we can ever repay." https://www.dailysignal.com/2018/03/30/another-reason-to-remember-the-easter-and-passover- weekend/ Posted by: J.J. I wonder if places stll have an Easter Parade. It was a thing when I was growing up back when the earth was sill cooling. Late morning after services. Men and little boys would be in ties and jackets but it was mostly for the women. They saw it as a chance for a new outfit and to dress up their daughters like little dolls.

Posted by: Skip Go Cats! at April 01, 2018 07:15 AM (aC6Sd) The thing to watch out for is whether we ever get a year or two where the snow cover in northern Quebec does not completely melt during the summer. If that happens, it could signal the beginning of the return of the Laurentide ice sheet, which can grow extremely quickly (decades to centuries). The high snow albedo creates a positive feedback and that area will chill down quickly. From orbital mechanics, we're overdue for the end of this interglacial, so that's the one bit of climate change that I'm somewhat worried about. Warming we can handle, but cold kills. >>>>>The thing to watch out for is whether we ever get a
year or two where the snow cover in northern Quebec does not completely melt during the summer. Posted by: MichiCanuck at April 01, 2018 07:47 A . . .If that happens erlich will get his wish about the Human population being drastically reduced quickly. ===== Sure, I get that. I was sent off to Sunday School and was brought up with belief if not respect for religion, but we never participated in services. Without being party to the actual calendar and congregation it means little or nothing. Purely an intellectual exercise and it fails. Consider it data if you wish. I've hidden Chocolate Eggs all throughout this thread. So, grab your Easter baskets and start looking! They should be yummy. I got them at Val-U-Rite Mart! And I thought Val-U-Rite just made vodka-ish Drinking Stuff. Who knew? The Chocolate Eggs are imported from Russia from the World-Famous Chernobyl Chocolate Factory. They glow in the dark, which is cool. But, there's a warning label that says something about waiting another 10 years to eat them if the Egg can cause film to be developed without a camera or gives your hand a suntan while holding it. What the heck is that all about? Anyway, Happy Easter! Posted by: naturalfake at April 01, 2018 08:35 AM (9q7Dl) 205

Heavens-Above is a good site to bookmark. It will tell you where and when to look for visible satellites.
http://www.heavens-above.com/ You have to click in the box in the upper right and enter your town or latitude and longitude in the new screen that appears. Then click "update" at the bottom, and it takes you back to the main page with your location set. Then click on one of the satellites you want to observe, and it will give you a list of dates and times when it will be visible. Clicking one of the dates will give you a star map showing where to look. Posted by: rickl at April 01, 2018 08:46 AM (sdi6R) 233

yeah, a few nuts and bolts size man made objects might burn up in the atmosphere nightly, but not hit "earth". And micro meteorites don't hit earth, unless he includes the atmosphere. Even then, can't be thousands of tons ... even during meteor showers, maybe globally tons burn up, not thousands of tons, in my one minute calculation.
