The Morning Rant

talking ape.jpg
"Did you know that Hungary is being run by a bunch of eeevil Christian so-cons? I'll bet you didn't. But it's true. As such, Hungary has refused to assume responsibility to permanently feed and house the muslim thug refugees flocking in from the Mideast who will refuse to assimilate and contribute nothing except an increase in crime rates and the turning of their major cities into no-go hellholes. Naturally, EU globalist bureaucrats in Brussels are unhappy about Hungary for unapologetically trying to preserve their Christian culture (as well as the safety of their wives and daughters). So they've been trying to figure out how to impose sanctions to force Hungary to accept its "fair share" of violent muslim criminal refugees."

I Wish We Had One of These

The inspiration for today's rant comes from Mrs. Muse, who is the prayer coordinator for our church. She is in contact via e-mail with other churches in our denomination all over the world, taking their prayer requests, etc. This is what she received from one of our churches in Hungary:

And finally, please pray for the elections in Hungary on April 8. We would like if the current Christian-conservative party would be able to continue their government.

Slapweasel should probably add this to the AoSHQ prayer list.

Why A Government Run By Unapologetic So-Cons Might Not Be A Bad Idea:

california exports.jpg

Because this is what you get when you explicitly expunge them from any position of influence or policy.

Also, a so-con government would give the progs something they could enjoy themselves rebelling against. Because from the Salem Witch Trials to the Scopes Trial, from the Scarlet Letter to Elmer Gantry, nothing fires up the holy zeal of the progs like that old time, praise the Lord, tents-and-sawdust religion, hallelujah. So they can wear their goofy hats and make their silly signs, hook up with the weed-and-polyamory wing of the Libertarian Party, and they can all march up and down Pennsylvania Avenue chanting and singing, mugging for the CNN cameras, bask in the praise of the potato-head media, and a good time will be had by all.

Testify!

Dear Senator Kaine:

My father is a gangbanger and a lot of our income comes from home invasions. Stricter gun laws would allow my father to work in a safer environment and provide for me and my twelve half siblings. Allowing only Police to be armed should also be reviewed since they also present a danger to my family. The less guns out in the world, the safer I feel.

They've been sold a lifestyle, an "experience". Move to LA or SF in your twenties, party with all your new friends, hook up with one of the beautiful people, and eventually get wealthy and successful. Ditto for NYC or DC. Not to mention that jobs in much of the country have gone away over the past eight years or more, as manufacturing has dried up. If you want to find work you need to move to either the northeast, or the west coast. Or a few other major cities, but they are often blue enclaves.

50 Listen to some of the speeches by Orban (Hungarian PM) or some Polish or Czech politicians. Distilled, obvious, "duh" common sense. Small countries with unique languages and cultures, that somehow don't see why they should, out of the blue, add enormous numbers of uneducated untrained unassimilable unaccompanied young males with an alien and not very successful cultural heritage from North Africa to their populations.

Imagine. Radicals.

But it's really the perfect, ultimate distortion of language and concepts on display. "Racism" and "xenophobia" are the slanders, absurdly, applied to common sense reluctance to radically change your society, for no reason other than the dictate of a foreign power (Germany) and the unelected Eurocrats.

99 The obvious answer is, the Dem-dems moved in from elsewhere, like Texas."

I remember traveling in California 40 years ago and being disgusted by Californians even then, and that was before all the hard left fetishizing burst out of them. Even then they were arrogant, they thought they were the smartest people in the world, they thought they were the most beautiful people in the world, they thought everyone else should know that they were just supposed to shut up and listen to anyone from California because they were so great.

And then the moral posing and the sanctimoniousness set in. THAT was the poison from which all of the subsequent evil grew out of. They rejected religious belief, but then let their entire value system be focuses on a contest of who could be more secularly holy than anyone else, and they created their new religion of Leftism to pull it all together from them.

It was a disease of the soul before it became a disease of the mind.

Then Californians sold their homes at McMansion prices, retired to Washington to take advantage of the zero tax burden and lower-priced homes. Once they settled in they proceeded to vote for the same progressive politicians and policies that turned California into a Schiffhole.

Oregon, particularly Portland, is worse.

Theoretically, you'd think so, but practically it cannot be done. It would break down quickly, because people have an innate desire to guided and to feel led by what is best termed spiritual and moral values. In every society that has been able to survive for more than a generation or two, there is a religion that gives people that stability and moral grounding. When there is no such religion, that desire doesn't go away, instead it is expressed in more destructive ways. In manipulative societies such as the old Soviet Union and modern China, this becomes expressed as the Religion of the State, in which the State stands in for God and State mandated values are the only moral values that are allowed. In more open societies, like ours, the collapse of formalized religion does NOT lead to a "Golden Age" of No Religion, which is part of the Dogma of the Atheist Religion, but rather leads to mass insanity of the kind we are seeing now, where younger generations feel that they can only find "Real Truth" by vigorously denying Actual Truth, and societies riven by this usually collapse into civil war between all the factions striving for power and control.

158 Stormy is the Revenge Porn Network's attempt to demoralize women Trump voters. They want to bring back those genteel Democrats who will restore the Federal Government to its proper role: providing sex-change operations to 5 year-olds.

But even Church Ladies are hip to this trick of using their own morality against them. Warden caught this perfectly in his Jan. 2016 post "How Losing My Political Values Helped Me Gain My Freedom":

"...It's two words: Memories Pizza.

It was that moment that everything changed for me--not only the harassment, fake Yelp reviews and the death threats that forced them to temporarily close up shop--oh, that was bad enough, but the most powerful man on Earth bullying a couple of small town pizza owners from Indiana simply for expressing an opinion on a hypothetical asked of them by a reporter with a malicious agenda? That was when I snapped. Do you remember?

It's this that sent me to a place from which I'll never return. I literally don't care what Donald Trump does because nothing he can do is worse than what they've already done.

Donald Trump isn't the bully; he only insults and abuses people in power who have attacked him. They're the fucking bullies. The left, with their smears, their witch hunts, their slanders, their insults, their riots, their violence, and their weaponizing of the federal bureaucracy. There aren't any rules anymore because the left only applies them one way. And in doing so, they've left what once was a civil compact between the two parties in smoldering ruins. I have no personal investment in Donald Trump. He is a tool to punish the left and roll back their ill-gotten gains, no more and no less. If he succeeds even partially in those two things, then I'll consider his election a win. Further, I no longer have any investment in any particular political values, save one: The rules created by the left will be applied to the left as equally and punitively as they have applied them to the right. And when they beg for mercy, I'll begin to reconsider. Or maybe not. Because fuck these people. This new philosophy has freed me of more emotional angst that I can describe. Literally nothing the left says or does matters to me anymore. I don't care about their tantrums. I don't care about their accusations. I don't care if they say Trump is lying. I don't care if Trump is lying. They created this Frankenstein. They own it. I am free of all obligation. I will never play defense again. I will attack, attack, attack, attack using their own tactics against them until they learn their lesson. What I will not do is let them play my values against me ever again. I don't need to prove that I'm better than them. I already know it.".......

don't care if Trump is lying. They created this Frankenstein. They own

attack, attack, attack, attack using their own tactics against them
until they learn their lesson. What I will not do is let them play my
values against me ever again. I don't need to prove that I'm better than
them. I already know it."

206 Unfortunately, the government of Hungary, while following the will of the people in regard to the invaders, and being a general pain to the target rich EU, is also one of the worst groups of people in any nominally accountable society.

The core group of political leadership has a long history of anti-Americanism, and are generally regarded as Russia's friend inside NATO. Turkey has only recently edged out Hungary as the leading candidate to be kicked out of NATO.

The Hungarian government and its associated cronies have been stealing massively from US and other companies and financial institutions for years, and routinely violate their trade agreements with the US.

The government is astonishingly corrupt; the ruling circles and their friends and family members don't even try to hide it. Even the Obama administration had to take action because of the damage to US companies (no follow up, of course, it was Obama).

The inevitable position of the Hungarian government on immigration/invasion is the only one that the Hungarian people could possibly support, and it usually blinds people to the fact that Hungary is run by a particularly venal and nasty bunch. I would not count on them to ever do a single thing other than the entirely corrupt, cynical, and self-serving.

I wish the above were not true, but the world is as it is.

236 Theoretically, you'd think so, but practically it cannot be done.

The state of Washington was once a decent place to live. The only fault, in my mind, was a surplus of rain.

Then Californians sold their homes at McMansion prices, retired to
Washington to take advantage of the zero tax burden and lower-priced
homes. Once they settled in they proceeded to vote for the same
progressive politicians and policies that turned California into a
Schiffhole.

Oregon, particularly Portland, is worse.

Back in the day, when Playboy was esteemed for its articles, rather than pictographs, this was discussed at some, ah, length over several issues.

A few friends and I attempted to come up with an equation to answer this over most of a week. Don't forget that a 'thrust' isn't constant, nor is frequency.

We'd worked out a triple integral before Friday night, when the opportunity to pursue experimental, rather than theoretical, physics proved more compelling, and we never really finished the equation.

324 I think that there was more to benedict's retirement than discomfort with his german background. i read somewhere that when a new pope is installed, he has the ability to purge various departments and start anew. what was going on in the established agencies was very bad - the abuse scandals and so on, so benedict made a decision to step aside, "let it burn" and allow another to give it new life.

Glad you asked! The cops are on video asking for and _receiving_ permission to check the homeowners backyard where they first found the thug. That homeowner didn't care about blood spatter; they just didn't want their home invaded, which is what most normal people want, but not David French!

Where's French when thug bullets penetrate windows and walls and kill innocent kids inside their own homes? Where's French when thugs invade homes and kill the residents? Who does French call when the thugs prowl HIS property? No, his deep problem is thugs getting shot. What an @sshole!

330 I must live in the general proximity of notsothoreau and can attest to NST's observations. The little fascists in Portland are moving to SW Washington because housing/commercial rent is cheaper [or was] and no income tax. And they are bringing all their fine ideas too. Conservative friends I have made here are already checking out to Idaho. The latest couple just retired and were getting screwed over or at least continuously knickknacked by county planning and just said F it.

Portland, once a nice city I understand, is clearly a shithole. And they are proud of it. Portlandia is more a documentary than a comedy. The MAX train is like falling into a smellier version of the Star Wars bar scene. People who dare to ride are always good for stories about "what happened today on light rail." Portland actually has an "arts tax" on wage earners and I think they get some colorful banners for the effort. I used to like bicycles until a recent visit and am now considering mounting a cow catcher with spikes to my pickup. The people here get sexually stimulated by trolley cars, bikes and windmills because 18th and 19th century technology is so 21st century. Also a majority don't pay the fare on MAX. There are people camped on curb strips under blue tarps all over the place. Friends who live near the Willamette River on the east side tell me to leave my car unlocked when I visit so the roaming scum won't have to break out the window to steal my stuff. I just try to stay out of the place. But now it's headed my way. Thanks.

The picture is of USS Wasp's air group ashore in the UK at Scapa Flow while the carrier was delivering Spitfires to Malta. It is one I have not seen before.

Look at the closest TBD. See the carburetor intake with the small bulge above it? That is on the right side of the plane. The small bulge is a fairing to allow clearance of the .30cal fixed machine gun's breech. Also look on the folded wing, the pitot tube should be on the right wing also. So the photo has been reversed.

Here is a picture of an SB2U Vindicator, same time period. Looks like a belly fuel tank has been attached to the centerline.

Kid sounds like a Darwin Award contender to me. He was apprently hopping from yard to yard, and had broken at least two windows. Was toting an iPhone, and according to his granny, may have had earbuds in, (probably listening to rap "music" cranked to 11).
Setting himself up, in other words, for a confrontation with the cops, and handicapping himself by blocking his own hearing, so he could not hear the cops' commands and comply.

Back in the day, the lesb feminists were agitating to lower physical tests for cops, in particular the requirement to be able to climb over a six foot fence, on the grounds those tests were sexist, and a silly, non-work related requirement included just to keep women out.

When you're scampering around back yards in the middle of the night, breaking windows, running from the cops and refusing to obey their orders, then pull out an object in the dark, you gotta expect to get shot. The reason it doesn't happen more often to whites is a) on a per capita basis they're less involved in crime, b) they're mostly not stupid to do all this, and c) the MSM aren't interested in white thugs getting shot.
