Sara A. Carter: House Committee Found that James Clapper Leaked Details of Pee-Pee Party Dossier and Briefing to CNN

"Inconsistent statements."

This story is actually from last week, but I missed Sara Carter's article.

I'm glad it's finally being reported:

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper allegedly leaked information to CNN early last year regarding the classified briefings given to then President-Elect Donald Trump and President Barack Obama on the salacious dossier claiming the Russians had compromising information on the president-elect, according to government sources, who noted the evidence of the leak was collected during the House Intelligence Committee's Russia investigation.

Clapper, who was one of four senior Obama administration officials to attend the briefing with the presidents, also stated his "profound dismay at the leaks" in an official statement issued in January, 2017 and warned that the leaks were "extremely corrosive and damaging" to national security, according to his press release.

Sara Carter could have gone further, and noted that Clapper lied to the public in claiming that no one in the intelligence community that he knew of had leaked details of the briefing.

The US director of national intelligence has denied that the intelligence community leaked claims that Russia holds compromising personal and financial information on President-elect Donald Trump.

In an unusual statement on Wednesday evening that highlighted tensions between spy chiefs and the incoming president, James Clapper, a key adviser to the US President on security and intelligence, rejected a suggestion by Trump that the agencies were responsible for the story going public.

One of the authors of the piece is Evan Perez. Evan Perez, along with Jim Sciutto and Jake Clapper, I mean Jake Tapper, wrote the story containing Clapper's leak about the briefing, the story that got the RUSSIA Collusion op running.

Now, Even Perez writes an article reporting that James Tapper, I mean James Clapper, denies Trump's (true) charge that the intelligence agencies leaked.

Evan Perez must know Clapper is lying -- Clapper is one of CNN's sources for the story that Clapper is denying leaking about.

Is it ethical for Evan Perez to write up a "news report" containing information he knows to be a lie?

Could CNN not even bother to get an untainted journalist to type this up?

Unrelated: Evan Perez is a very close friend of Glenn Simpson and has vacationed with him. Further, Perez and Simpson used to share a byline at the Wall Street Journal.

Totally unrelated.

Exit Question: Will CNN feature a snarky chyron beneath the face of its new spin artist, Jake Tapper, I mean, James Clapper, stating "LOL This guy lies all the time and we print it up as truth LOL"?

24 Finding #22 was that General Flynn was charged with, and pled guilty to, making false statements to the FBI, though the agents actually interviewing hin "did not detect any deception."

Flynn was framed. As part of that plot, Strzok's texts show that he was in contact with the corrupt federal judge Contreras who gave the FISA warrant based on the dossier (and who was ready to convict Flynn based on his forced plea to a false charge until he forced to recuse).

The dossier that Clapper leaked to CNN.

It all connects.

25 I wrote this below on the last thread right before this one came up. It is still on topic...

--------------------------------------------------

186 Here is how the Russians could play this...

Step 1: Have Russian oligarchs/government donate money by proxy to various American organizations, like the NRA, political campaigns, etc. The organizations would have no idea it was originally from Russia.

Step 2: Leak the information to some idiot group like Fusion. Note: For all we know Fusion is really a Russian front.

Step 3: Fusion passes it on the the American media, certain politicians, and federal law enforcement (FBI). News comes out that Russia is funding the group.

Step 4: Media and Democrats go nuts, and Russian obsessed Republicans push for more investigations. The useful idiots this time are the Russian hawks for giving credence to the lefts claims.

Step 5: Conservatives get angry that our freedoms are under treat from the Dems / GOPe. Which they are, but this time we are being painted as Russian traitors.

Step 6: America becomes more inflamed and divided.

Step 7: Russia laughs, has a glass of vodka, and repeats.

It would be a masterpiece of strategy by the Russians if they used our own obsession with Russia to destroy us internally. A true example of 3d chess. No war, no weapons...brilliant really.

93 Is it ethical for Evan Perez to write up a "news report" containing information he knows to be a lie?

I've got an idea. Let's have a little fun. Start a thread encouraging all your readership here to send emails to the executive producer of Evan's department asking that very question, and when he ignores them raise the stakes...solicit other websites and conservative media outlets to do the same. All the while writing about the non-response. As it is, there are no repercussions for this type of dishonest behavior. It's time to change that.

I dispute your premise. Fishing = vacation to many people in these parts. But we have had guys participate on many occasions who would agree with you. They all loved the experience. We are on a 60' houseboat in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. We park the HB on a sandy beach on an island. If you don't want to fish there is eating, drinking, reading, and a 1000 watt sound system we haul up every year to play our music. Movies, cards, and cribbage at night. Its heaven.

136 I actually heard about the "going after the son" thing. For what? FARA violations?

I am astonished that anyone could f**k up FARA registration. Doubt it's changed much. There was an office in a building across from Treasury. You could go pick up the forms. I was going to register myself and a friend for one of the "new Europe" countries not long after the wall came down. Didn't pan out, but that part of the process was simple, free, and required no legal help.

Anyway, while noting once again it could be me, I remain baffled that anyone would admit guilt when they were innocent (and it was all about one or two sentences uttered in one meeting), that defending oneself in such a case would be that expensive or complicated (he said/they said), or that anyone could f**k up their FARA papers.
