Report: Tillerson Fired Because He Was Directly Undermining Trump's Efforts to Get Europe to Agree to Tougher Positioning on Iran
Trump's position on the Iran Deal is apparently this: If the European states which used to join us in economic sanctions before Obama let them out of it agree to force Iran to agree to actual inspections, performed by people called "Not the Iranian Government itself," of suspected nuclear sites, and agreed to limitations on ballistic missile technology, etc., then Trump would go along with the Iran Deal for a while.
It was Rex Tillerson's job to go out to the European states and sell them on this. Instead, of course, he walked back from what Trump was demanding and instead made softer offers he was never authorized to make -- to appease Iran. You know -- gross insubordination of the actual chief foreign policy officer of the United States. And also, appeasement of Iran, in a way that the TruCon Crying Eagle Brigade like to pretend they're opposed to.The abrupt firing Tuesday of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson follows months of infighting between the State Department and White House over efforts by Tillerson to save the Iran nuclear deal and ignore President Donald Trump's demands that the agreement be fixed or completely scrapped by the United States, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the situation who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon. In the weeks leading up to Tillerson's departure, he had been spearheading efforts to convince European allies to agree to a range of fixes to the nuclear deal that would address Iran's ongoing ballistic missile program and continued nuclear research. While Trump had prescribed a range of fixes that he viewed as tightening the deal's flaws, Tillerson recently caved to European pressure to walk back these demands and appease Tehran while preserving the deal, according to these sources. The Free Beacon first disclosed this tension last week in a wide-ranging report. White House allies warned Tillerson's senior staff for weeks that efforts to save the nuclear deal and balk on Trump's key demands regarding the deal could cost Tillerson his job, a warning that became reality Tuesday when Trump fired Tillerson by tweet.Yesterday, the conspiracy theorists all proposed their newest conspiracy theory (which apparently occurred to them all nearly spontaneously) that Trump had fired Tillerson because Tillerson had endorsed the UK's conclusion that Russia had attempted to assassinate a defector living in Europe, and Trump couldn't have anyone saying anything about Vlad. Apparently these geniuses did not know about the long-simmering tension about the Iran Deal (though the Free Beacon says they reported on just that last week). And look at that -- they did report on it last week.
Iran is undertaking a massive buildup of its ballistic missile program, sparking fears of a "second Holocaust" amid sensitive international negotiations that could see the Trump administration legitimize Iranian missiles capable of striking Israel, according to multiple sources familiar with ongoing diplomatic talks. As the Trump administration and European allies continue discussions aimed at fixing a range of flaws in the landmark Iran nuclear deal, sources familiar with the progression of these talks say the United States is caving to European demands limiting restrictions on Iran's ballistic missile program. While the Trump administration went into the negotiations with a hardline stance on cutting off Iran's ballistic missile program, it appears the United States [that is, Tillerson -- ace] is moving closer in line with European positions that would only regulate a portion of the missiles. Multiple sources with knowledge of the ongoing talks told the Washington Free Beacon U.S. officials [Tillerson] have been backpedaling on key demands originally proposed by President Trump in order to preserve the agreement and appease European allies who are eager to continue doing business with Tehran. Senior Trump administration officials recently told the Free Beacon the United States is prepared to abandon the nuclear deal if European allies fail to address what it views as a range of flaws in the nuclear deal that have enabled Iran's missile buildup and allowed it to continue critical nuclear research. However, it appears the United States is losing ground in the talks, moving closer to the European position, which includes what insiders described as only cosmetic changes to the nuclear deal that fail to adequately address Iran's massive missile buildup.But the #SmartSet [citation needed] didn't know any of this, and just did their #TwitterHotTakes and claimed Tillerson was fired on Putin's orders. That was actually a part of the huge part of the fight between the post-war Radical Republicans and Andrew Johnson, and what helped lead to his impeachment. Johnson's cabinet tried to say that they were independent of him and could do whatever they wanted, and he had no authority to fire them after they'd been confirmed.
At least people quickly realized that was a very bad idea, no matter who was President.

The obvious objective, and the only thing that can actually achieve "non-proliferation" goals, is regime change. Which is vital anyway.
Iran since '79 has been the worst, bloodiest, most effective global terrorism and vandalism actor. They are careful (not reckless like Saddam or sloppy like Qadhafi/Ghaddafy/Kadafy). They actually have a blended national/cultural/ideological basis for their chauvinism - they're not just another gangster regime.
Regime change is vital. But it's just about impossible to achieve. So containment/weakening is the next best option. Which is what the sanctions were about.
The Obama catastrophe on Iran was a catastrophe because -
1) it discarded a remarkably effective containment/weakening operation that had taken years to establish, against the reckless stupidity of Europeans and the daunting challenge of isolating a country like Iran
2) nukes
3) ballistic missiles

This. And I'd go so far as to say no, it's not falsifiable. Every anti-Trumper will view every action PDT or his administration takes as evidence of collusion. That is just the top of the list of American companies. The European companies are even more hot to make business deals in Iran.
Despite last night's defeat in PA, free trade conservatives have to figure out where international trade begins and ends. Do we do deals with admitted enemies of the United States? Do we do deals with countries who make wild treats against our allies? Do we do deals with countries who fund terrorist groups against us?
Why does this matter? Well for military and national security reasons for one. But it is more than just a battlefield problem.
When American companies do business different countries they tend to support those countries political views in order to get those wonderful new deals. Those companies then donate (or bribe) American politicians to support keeping those countries happy.
See how the American tech companies tend to appease China, which then tends to spill over into our freedoms. It is no surprise that American tech companies have become more supportive of anti-free speech polices the more they become embedded in China. It is no surprise that American educational institutions have become more anti-freedom as Chinese money pours into them.
Not picking on China, they are not alone in this. The EU and Islamic countries are the same. They view business deals as a way to influence America politically. So it is more than money.
This is why the Iran deals is more dangerous than just letting Iran get room to build nukes and missiles. It is about influencing our business and elite class to make America into something that Iran likes.
You can never view trade deals on purely economic grounds. That is a major failure of the conservative movement. Something good economically could be awful for American freedom.

If Trump was a tool of Russian, he'd be cutting off energy production in the US as much as possible, getting behind every wacko environmental movement to hamper US energy as well, killing fraking. He'd act like a liberal Democrat, really.
And the fact that he wants the US to be energy dominant when Russia relies so heavily on high oil prices to fund its entire government is debilitating to the whole idea of Trump as Russian tool.

It's a common addition to the design of the grip safety to ensure that it's depressed when the pistol is held in the hand. But they do it as a bump to ensure minimal alteration of the grip feel.
Personally, I've never had a problem with the GS on a 1911, but it's nice to have the option for those that do.

Well, if that Russian nerve agent was ever identified in the press, or some scholarly journal, a good chemist could probably figure out the synthesis, based on the synthesis of of known similar compounds.

The Big Bang theory was developed by George LeMaitre, who was a Roman Catholic priest (and physicist, of course) who later became the science advisor to the Vatican. LeMaitre liked the Big Bang idea because he thought it fit well with his concept of the biblical creation of the universe. That's not why he came up with it but once he did come up with it he thought it was no coincidence that it fit so well into the Biblical narrative.

IIRC, there has been a group of people in DC, including John Brennan, who for many years have wanted to replace the US with Iran as the stabilizing super power in the region. Iran getting nukes does that, as it would make it difficult for US to intervene. It gets the US out of the Middle East.

So the "White House" mis-lead when saying he was fired by phone? And the Deputy Under Assistant Deputy Secretary of State for Public Relations was fired as a result?
Or his trip was cut short because he was already fired but it was just not public yet which was done by tweet?

Hawking Radiation. Turns out black holes decay over time. Crazy stuff. Not sure how practical you consider that though.

What did arcane studies of nuclear magnetism do that was practical? At the time, nothing. Later, NMR, a crucial analytical tool in chemistry. And from that. MRI.
Same thing with the laser, and lots of other initially "impractical" research.
By the same token, what of "practical" utility came of quantum mechanics, or general relativity? Answer: lots. In time. Not right away.

IIRC, there has been a group of people in DC, including John
Brennan, who for many years have wanted to replace the US with Iran as
the stabilizing super power in the region. Iran getting nukes does that,
