Strzok-Page Texts: Obama Wants to Know Everything We're Doing; It's Little Wonder That Andy McCabe's Wife Lost Her Election, Because Her District is Filled with "Ignorant Hillbillies"
Mixing dirty business with dirty pleasure.
Here's the Hillbilly Memorandum:
Newly revealed text messages between FBI paramours Peter Strzok and Lisa Page include an exchange about preparing talking points for then-FBI Director James Comey to give to President Obama, who wanted "to know everything we're doing." ... Page wrote to Strzok on Sept. 2, 2016, about prepping Comey because "potus wants to know everything we're doing." According to a newly released Senate report, this text raises questions about Obama's personal involvement in the Clinton email investigation.
That text came from Strzok to Page on Nov. 4, 2015, the day after Jill McCabe lost a hotly contested Virginia state Senate election. Strzok said of the result, "Disappointing, but look at the district map. Loudon is being gentrified, but it's still largely ignorant hillbillys. Good for her for running, but curious if she's energized or never again."This is really important: Strzok himself went to look at the emails discovered on Anthony Weiner's computer. On September 28th, 2016. Remember, McCabe sat on these emails for a month -- the Comey letter informing Congress about them didn't issue until October 28th, and judicial approval to look further into the emails wasn't sought until after even that. So here's Fzokhead talking about all the work he will be doing reading these emails and showing his great displeasure that "this will never end."
On Sept. 28, 2016, Strzok wrote to Page, "Got called up to Andy's [McCabe] earlier.. hundreds of thousands of emails turned over by Weiner's atty to sdny [Southern District of New York], includes a ton of material from spouse [Huma Abedin]. Sending team up tomorrow to review... this will never end."Other texts aren't as important, or tell us stuff we already knew -- like how incredibly biased this Power Adulterous Couple was in favor of Hillary and against Trump:
Yeah that's called evidence of motive.
On Election Day 2016, Page wrote, "OMG THIS IS F***ING TERRIFYING." Strzok replied, "Omg, I am so depressed." Later that month, on Nov. 13, 2016, Page wrote, "I bought all the president's men. Figure I need to brush up on watergate."
The next day, Nov. 14, 2016, Page wrote, “God, being here makes me angry. Lots of high fallutin’ national security talk. Meanwhile we have OUR task ahead of us.” Page's meaning here is unclear, but according to the Senate report, coupled with Strzok's Aug. 15 text about an "insurance policy," further investigation is warranted to find out what actions the two may have taken.
The last text is from June of 2017, when Page wrote to Strzok, "never text me again." The article notes that this could just be a tiff, or it could be the couple realizing that their texts may be evidence. For the Democrat rebuttal to all this, see Ed Morrrissey at former conservative site Hot Air, who serves up a main course of Nothing to See Here with a side of Obama's Allowed to Give Orders to His Employees (a side that Hot Air never seems to serve up when we're talking about Trump giving orders to his employees).

When my mother learned how to drive, a friend gave her an old Mercedes -- really run-down and funky-looking, formerly in use as a hippie car. But that became our "family car" for a while.

The screw was 1/4" long. How much would it cost?
$1,500.
Why so much? Because those screws were no longer made and no longer available, and were sooooo hyper-spcifics they they had to be re-machined from scratch, and the only place that had the specs and could do it was the original factory back in Germany.

To me the key is that Steele lied repeatedly about his contact with the media while he was supposedly working with the FBI. And the FBI repeated that claim to the FISC when they applied for the FISA warrant on Carter Page.
But in the London suit Steele admitted he did speak with the media including Yahoo.
So either Steele lied to the FBI or the FBI lied to the FISC. Either way they didn't just rely on an unsourced and very sketchy dossier produced by what they knew was both the DNC's and Hillary's money, they misled the court about the Yahoo corroborating article which was essentially dictated by Steele.

Turned out that gearbox was built here, about a mile and a half from The King of Transmissions. So if you have an old-timer transmission shop around, by all means give them a try before you tow it to Status City.
That Benz had a host of imported parts. English brakes and carburetter, US transmission, and IIRC even an Eye-Tye electronic or two. Crazy world.

If I remember correctly (this was a loooong time ago), the main problem was that no one in the US even knew the specs for the screw, because it was such an obscure piece. So even if you had a precision machine-shop, you wouldn't know what to make. Only the factory and headquarters back in Germany had the specs for the original parts. (Or so they claimed.) This specific model of car hadn't ever been intended as an export, and was just a domestic German Mercedes, which is one reason why the mechanics were so fascinated by it -- none had ever seen that particular model and style before. So they had no parts for it, and they claimed no one else in the US would either.

I had a pal a few years back who bought a cheap 1975 4 door Mercedes sedan that had the same problem. He dropped out the drive train and put a Chevy 350 with a turbo-350 tranny in its place. A lot of people said he was nuts.
but that was a hell of a car when he was done.

The coolest M-B shift was the touch-matic, which I think was actually invented by Buick. Not really an automatic, but, when you pulled on the shift lever, a vacuum linkage disengaged the clutch. Met the woman who managed a hippie clothes store because she had called a buddy of mine when her car wouldn't move. I replaced the rubber hose on the vacuum servo, and scored with the chick. She was 8 years of bad luck for me, more or less.
I still hold it against the mall where she worked, now demolished, my buddy now deceased, and Daimler-Benz Gmbh, may Satan's wrath betake them.
I have forgiven Buick.

Around the early 90's, "my" mechanic was putting a lot of GM V8's into V8 M-B's because they had a design flaw in the exhaust manifold where the oxygen sensors screwed in. You'd replace the manifolds about once a year.
Upper-crust owners, of course, merely traded up, and told the story around the Club. To the rich, the more you have to spend on a car, the more entertaining it is. Criticising the Ingignieri wasn't the done thing, old man.
That would have got you canned at Rambler.

The reconquest of the Iberian peninsula, killing off the Saracen and Moor, that put a lot of bad habits into Spanish military psychology that they carried into the New World and have never shaken.

"Hillbillies" - Most of the people living around here are either government employees, Amazon employees, or work at one of the hundreds of Data Centers in the area. High tech is booming here. Nothing rural left - its all been developed.
Her opponent, as usual, had no money and campaigned with lawn signs and a few direct mail cards. She had so much $$ to spend in such a tiny area that she was able to run TV ads 24/7 for months. Had a ground game too: at least once a week for more than three months her people knocked on my door.
