The Morning Report 2/6/18

schiffripper.jpg

Good morning kids. Tuesday and I just looked at the links and we're loaded so let's dive in. The big news is Wall Street taking a dive yesterday (a continuation from the tail end of last week) and I'm afraid the tea leaves don't look much better for today. In any case, from what little I understand of it, it's basically the market doing what it normally does, which is correct itself from wild swings in either direction. Although it's good that it does present opportunities for investors to pick up bargains, among them are people and institutions that are now firmly in the leftist camp, including Warren Buffet and convicted felon and Nazi collaborator George Soros. I wouldn't worry about it all that much but of course the Left will use it for scare headlines with which to beat up on PDT. In the long term, the economy is on the rebound, national debt and government borrowing/spending notwithstanding.

The other big story is the fallout from the release of the FISA memo, both real world revelations and ramifications and the propaganda and lies from the Democrat-Media complex. Devin Nunes had an extended appearance on Rush's show yesterday and the transcript is below. The guy has done yeoman's work under the most brutal personal attacks from the usual gang of scum and momzerim. But, as mentioned yesterday, the memo is just the tip of the iceberg. There are now calls for release of the actual intel from which the memo is based, the unsealing of the FISA warrant itself to see who authorized and on what basis it was given, red meat from Paul Gosar who calls the key players in this affair treasonous and Mark Levin who just flat out accuses Obama of knowing about and approving the actions of his DoJ and FBI.

In response, the Democrat-Media complex hurls accusations and impugns the character of Nunes, and has created it's own memo, or "meme-oh!" to muddy the waters by flat out lying their asses off. The fact that Jimmy "Drama" Comey's assistant gets hired by CNN less than 48 hours after resigning from the FBI speaks volumes. Look in the sidebar for the extensive piece by Andy McCarthy in which he dismantles the oleaginous, slimy Gerald Nadler's take on this. As much as I loathe that fat bastard, at least he tries to make something of a reasoned argument, unlike Adam Schiff who now claims the Russians are supporting the NRA because they want to see Americans kill each other off.

What disgusts me as much as the crimes themselves is the shameless, blatant political hackery that the Democrat party is engaging in. It's not surprising at all, given who and what they are. But it's disgusting. Party over country with them. Always. That essay from yesterday was dead on: destroy the Democrat party.

There are no easy answers, no quick fixes, and probably very little justice in the fullest and truest sense of the word that will ever be visited upon the bastards who perverted our law enforcement and legal systems to overthrow a national election and sabotage a sitting president. I have to resign myself to that fact. But it is worth noting that none of this would ever have come to light had Trump lost the election and the fact that all of this coming to light, whatever the outcome may be, is revelatory to a whole lot of people who were blind to it all just a few short years ago. The pessimists will note that many Americans will yawn. But many will not, and in the long run that's not such a bad place to be.

In other news, Justice Alito might have caused some real trouble for the midterms in denying a motion to stay the redistricting in Pennsylvania. While Eagle fans were destroying their city, there was evidently a hit-and-run incident that is being investigated as a possible terrorist attack. The McCain-Coons bill is being called worse than Graham-Durbin by the White House, and there's an interesting interview with one of the contractors for the big, beautiful Border Wall.

Lastly, it is with sadness that we note the passing of veteran actor John Mahoney at the age of 77. He's most known for playing the curmudgeonly but lovable ex-cop father Martin Crane on the iconic sitcom "Frasier." RIP.

Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.

13 The MSM being the MSM, a) has no idea what it's talking about and b) will do whatever it can to hurt Trump.

1000 point drop sounds like HOLY FUCK HAIR ON FIRE TIME. But it's 1000 out of 26,000. IOW, a relatively small decline, percentage wise.

Stocks were up around 40% since election day 2016. A small 5-10% correction was pretty much a given.

But in the MSM you'd think it's a 50% sell off.

28 CNBC HEADLINE: BIGGEST STOCK DROP SINCE 2011

29 If anyone is interested, my local broker and his partner (who was a trader on WS in his younger days) says three things happened yesterday. The markets reacted to Yellin saying stocks were too high (or something like that) as her shot going out the door. Next was a normal market correction was overdue. And what they considered the biggest factor is all of the business world is figuring out the new tax laws are going to affect specific sectors and specific businesses individually. While the new set of tax laws will help business generally it will not be evenly distributed or help all. It is more of a shake-out and then realignment. Anyway that is what he sent out to clients in a heads up email.

Simon at PJM titles "Donald Trump Will Prove to be One of the Greatest and Most Consequential Presidents." I re-read it and while some predictions are off, others are on. I recommend going back and looking at it.

I do recommend going back and looking at a lot of articles and opinion pieces written over the past three years. It is informative just how wrong so many of the experts are, and how consistent they are in their wrongness.

116 They need to go after he unmasking and leaks more aggressively than even the basis of the warrant itself.

Show the public that the whole point (in the runup to the election) was to put a mechanism in place to get dirt on Trump's people, who were then (widely, illegally "unmasked") whose identity was then leaked to the media by Comey & Co as "under investigation" "meeting with Russians" etc.

It was set up as a surveil/unmask/leak op from the start. As there was of course no there there (no actual "collusion") the entire warrant application only makes sense as the basis of a smear operation (fueled by illegal surveillance and leaks). That was the prime intent from the start.

Yes, but I truly think that was only an afterthought, once they got closer to the election and realized that DJT actually might beat the seizure-prone, alcoholic, tone-deaf, entitled beeoch in the general. The investigation was the doubling down, morphing of the op.

Early on I think the unmasking/leaking was the prime intent.

The importance here in showing the American public why they would set up a baseless op in the first place. If the initial end game was a "Russia investigation" most people would think that if there was in fact no collusion, why would so many go to so much trouble to set up an investigation that they knew wouldn't find anything.

If the op is understood as something only (initially) intended to produce smears before an election (aided by illegal surveillance) it makes perfect sense.

And, along these lines, and in terms of law and language, they need to start calling the whole FISA application a "sham" and a "pretext." There was actual, hiding of completely conscious illegal motivation, not just "poor vetting."

This is actually actionable as malicious prosecution (in addition to the criminal violations) and I hope that Trump, Page etc sue the sh*t out of Comey & Co. personally.

More than that, why was the FBI employing a 'Russian Spy?'
===================

The article says he never was a Russian spy. As an FBI undercover, he was their excuse for spying on Trump. Either way, the FBI/DOJ flat-out lied to the FISC when they sought the original warrant, as the blog post convincingly says.

.
.
.And I suspect that is why he is playing stupid right now.

They used the "foreign agent" tag so they could spy on anyone he came in contact with, so in essence they had carte blanche to spy on every single person on the campaign including Trump.

As noted above, hillary had every single advantage that they could give her and she still lost. hillary and the DNC were getting real time intelligence from the DOJ on every move that Trump was doing and planning on doing while he was campaigning and they couldn't manage to pull out a win even with all of those advantages.

That has got to be burning them up inside. Especially now that this is all coming out.

Except we can't have babies like them either. And should try live on $2.00 a day.. But we can have renewable electricity and free health care. Vietnam is currently the closest to the ideal.

The entire study is a whole 8 page (including references) but in that short space manages to show that the entire world of 7 billion people, hundreds of countries and cultures with thousands of years of history must rearrange themselves so they are all the same, happier, fairer and sustainable.

I put more thought and analysis in my typical HS research paper I put together last minute than the Leeds researchers did in this blueprint for the world.

I watched the wife's C-section real close. It's gross. Also watched a VBAC, also gross.

What finally got me was No. 2 Son's broken finger. I can look at my own blood or insides or whatever all day long and not be bothered.

But No. 2 Son's doctor was clearly less than 16 years old and obviously treating his very first patient and couldn't have a clue what he was doing with manipulating the bones and no it didn't hurt now but the next day was going to be so painful for my spawn that I went THUNK.

Turned green and passed out. Kid was OK. Turned out that Doogie knew what he was doing after all.

As I sort of stated in my commentary, the Democrat Party is no longer, to me, a legitimate American political party. It is in fact an anti-American criminal organization; a front group for forces whose goal is the overthrow of our nation.

By all that is right and good, and in a sane world, even the most partisan among them would have long ago condemned the actions of their party leadership and anyone involved in these crimes.

Not doing so, and in fact going after those who are trying to uncover the facts and punish the guilty only proves my point.

QED.

In recovery doctor comes in and explains son was complex breach: not just wrong direction, but doing the splits with arms hugging one leg as it sticks straight up. So he's halfway out and they realize they'd have to break his leg to get him out. Nope. Stuff him back in, rearrange all his limbs, then pull him out. Best part was doctor on the ground demonstrating son's complex breach position for us*. Then the pediatric cardiologist stops by, says, "Hey, it's common for kids like your son to have two spleens, or no spleen, so Imma just going to go check that out, no biggie.."

That's why the State department was involved as well. Powerline has some good stuff including in the comments about why Page and how the Hillary cretins knew who was traveling where.

I also think this is in Hillary's missing emails, if they really were missing. Betting the FBI needed those emails to vanish as well.

Imagine if he had lost? All the info coming out now would have still occurred - but if digging for it the name calling of not accepting the results would have been more blatant.

That's why it was important to nail Trump when he said that comment. They had to make him say he would accept the results - because there was a slight chance that we might be where we are now. The server IOG investigation was started after the election. IG info would be available, but the ability to try and dig deeper to get the current information we know to come out would have been called treasonous - because after all "Trump had said he'd abide by the results.

316 Just a note as to why Alito denied an injunction in the Pennsylvania case yesterday - that case is a State-law case, decided on State-constitution grounds. The Supreme Court has a long standing (self-imposed) rule that they refuse to interfere in any case in which that is at issue. Alito was upholding longstanding SCOTUS precedent, which is in fact a very conservative legal position.

Sometimes things can work out in ways that you would never imagine, a local man just won a 9 million dollar lawsuit against a hospital where he went for gall bladder surgery, and he's set for life now. Of course why he sued is that it was supposed to be routine and instead the hospital didn't notice that the dr. had been suspended and he screwed up the surgery and put the guy into a medically induced coma and almost killed him.

but it got better.

Posted by: J.J. Sefton at February 06, 2018 09:11 AM (mbhDw)

354 Vegetables are good for you because of the nutrients and the fiber. The only reason to eat them is because of those two things. Their downside is any fructose and other carbs. If you "juice" them, you get the carbs and not the fiber so the fructose and carbs hit your bloodstream faster which spikes blood glucose, drives insulin, and stores as fat. It's the best way to take a food that's good for you and make it not good for you. You'd be better off taking vitamins than juicing. You body also burns calories through fiber digestion and the fiber helps remove the cholesterol your body sent to arteries to repair damage from sugar.

359 The presidential election typically comes down to (all else basically even or so) with "who would you rather have a beer with."

Nobody wanted to have a beer with Hillary. Trump? At worst, "hey Joel, sometimes you just gotta say, WTF."

For the past 40 years, the Ds have pushed the meme that Republicans are nefarious because of Watergate. They did spooky things. They're rich and don't care about you and will even try to steal an election. That mantra has lost steam, but for older voters still holds some sway.

Now, if the shoe is on the other foot, especially in today's media environment - give the Ds influence in media, Hollywood, sports, what will happen? The koolaid drinkers will still be drinkers, the a large swath of middle voters will come to the conclusion that 1) the Ds have been lying for 40 years, 2) the Ds are the ones who actually tried to change an election electronically (eavesdropping). And if they're willing to do that, what privacy do I - Joe/Joan Citizen have?

That's why the smoke and mirrors memo and throw everything out there to muddy the waters. "They do it also" is the last line of defense when you've been broken. We are almost at that point. But why would anyone now believe them?

>>>Former Peace Corps Official Slapped with Charges for Steering Contracts to John Kerry's Daughter

Why did the Kerry and his filly need to tap into government funds
for this? If her non-profit needed a boost, couldn't they have raided
Teresa's Ketchup stash instead? It's more disgusting than similar
Clinton graft because it's gratuitous. They raid federal funds for the
pure enjoyment of it. If graft is the inevitable result of our
government's foreign aid, we need to rethink it - at least if a private
charity is corrupt, the damage is contained.

Somewhat similar to the family recipe for carp. Carp on plank, smother with manure, wrap in foil and bake for 40 mins. Throw away carp and plank, eat manure.

415 The 78 Blizzard, we would sled off off the roof since the snow was at the roof line. Dad was in California on business and he never heard the end of it. We brought all of our mattress down in front of the wood fire place. I remember people that had gas fireplaces had trouble or no gas. After the blizzard my mom insisted on getting coal because we could store it in the garage.

425 More Noos; today is Tuesday, February 6, 2018. On this day in 1978 the Blizzard of 1978 occurred. It was one of the worst Nor'easters in New England history. It hit the region with sustained winds of 65 mph and snowfall of four inches an hour.

Posted by: Vic We Have No Party at February 06, 2018 07:38 AM (mpXpK)

Here in Michigan, the Blizzard of 78 started on a Friday evening. I waited for a buddy of mine to get off work that night and we got on the road to Florida. I got no faster than 35-40 mph on I-75 until I was halfway through Ohio. Still made it to Florida in less than 20 hours.

428 "... destroying their city"? Love you brah, but do some homework. A few traffic lights, a few store windows, and one canopy. That's with over 1.5 million folks drinking all day and celebrating the end of a 58-year drought in the sport nearest to their hearts. Philly has a lot of problems tied to the leftist who have run this joint for years, but fan "destroying their city" ain't one of them. Peace.

Posted by: KPCon at February 06, 2018 10:49 AM (dObSx)

429 but of course the Left will use it for scare headlines with which to beat up on PDT.

It's a problem for the Left though, in that even in the face of a near 10% downward 'correction', the market is still 50% higher than it was when he took office a little over a year ago.

C'mon ya Lefty apologists - tell me how this is bad.

Okay, problem per the movie: that big dude with his arm around Schiff was playing the crazy general who caused the whole world to get blowed up, and the actor playing him was bent so far left he had to take 3 right turns just to turn left.
