My argument would be that it misses the mark wildly. Saying that men do not see the relationships between objects means that the whole idea of progress is a completely female one, however. Understanding the relationships between objects is everything. For example: Fire, the wheel, gravity, scientific method, flight, etc, etc, etc. If you merely see the object, but do not comprehend how it interacts with the environment and how it works, well then you have nothing.

Tell them--as is true--you're just following the advice of the DOJ and security. They keep clamoring for exposing more of it, you give them more, to show that you're being reasonable.
Wait for Step-too-far articles from conservative pundits, and highlight those in your exchanges with the Dems. Doesn't matter that the Lib media is going to slag off conservative media, just get it out there. It backs up the idea that you're trying to avoid what the Dems complained about originally.
The American people will see the process unfolding. You're not "covering up". You are successively *revealing*.
The longer the Deep State plays this game, the more about the Deep State needs to be exposed. Fuck their sources and methods, they should all be fired.
The Dems AND Deep State playing games could well be exposed before too much is revealed.

-women do better at multitasking. Men generally do better when given a single task to focus on.

I think that what the author is trying to say is that men are more object and physically based in how they see things, whereas women see things more in terms of their relationships to other things.

Kind of reminds me of when my college roommate and I came back to the dorm late one evening about four months before graduating. May have been inebriated, may have been loud, may have been laughing ... ain't confessing to anything.
Anyway, we got written up by the RA and had to report for a disciplinary hearing a few days later, where we were put on double secret probation with the threat of expulsion from the dorm if we misbehaved and disrespected the RA again. We had a good laugh over that hollow threat.

I joined (Delayed Enlistment Program) and waited. A few months passed and I was approached by my very worried GC. She said "You joined the Air Force?". I said yes. My dad has had the police-radio habit for about 55 years. Back in the Hallicrafters days, you could just turn the dial and find the darnedest stuff. It was romantic: like short wave, they'd have these "suggestions" printed right on there about what services were likely to be using those wavelengths.
He found one that was used for car phones. In, about, 1968. And there was one traveling salesman (I know!) who used his only for making assignations with his mistress, and phoning home his cover stories to his wife. That frequency got notebooked, I can tell you. Dad got months of salacious entertainment out of that one. Of course, you never find how it ends up...
I shared an office with a really swell guy who just had a lucky life. Two terms in the Corps, between wars, never left California. Married a nurse, she took up painting as a hobby, and her pieces became a big hit as "sofa art" at craft shows. And, his brother-in-law got rich, and loved to show it off by entertaining his friends. Anyway, one day my partner there got a call, spoke up, asked for repeats etc, then "rang off" and said, "You won't believe this. My brother in law is riding in an open limo in a parade in Florida, and it has a car phone so he had to call me just to say "You'll never believe where I'm calling from!"
We quickly ascertained that at that time, 99% of all car phone calls had to be "You won't believe where I'm calling from." Mid-80's, there were still pay phones on every building.

Back when I was writing papers in college, one had to read through a card catalogue and write down those books/authors one thought might be useful, then hunt down the books looking through miles of shelving to find said book, then read it just to see if that book was pertinent to the paper you were writing. It was sweaty work finding out whether a book wasn't going to be used in the paper or not. Kids today have no such problem with sweat when it comes to finding bullshit to prove their case, which is why (my theory) college kids today are so fat: There is no more library workout but rather sedentary searches inside their overly comfy dorm rooms. I mean, they don't even have to expend the energy to get dressed to do research, much less actually walk!

Soon as he could he got loose and volunteered to the US Army as an interpreter. So, the only man I knew who was a veteran of WWII on both sides.
So one of the junior employees takes a morning off for a dental appt. Calls in, says the dentist used laughing gas and told him to take the whole day off. The Polish boss says, "Come on, nobody uses gas no more." And the employee, miffed, said "I don't know. You'd be the expert on that."

Few seem to recall or know that there was a military parade in DC back in June 1991, after the first Gulf War.
Spectacular June day - perfect, no heat or humidity. The parade was great. With F-117s doing a flyover down the Mall. Was a great day for military personnel, everyone I encountered was honored and excited to do it.
Great fireworks show at night (first time I saw "shaped" fireworks - think they were new then - purple hearts, yellow ribbons).
And - I clearly remember a guy I knew back then just sort of freaking out about it all. He would be your typical Manhattan lib (literally) ..... I remember staying very coy, just tried to tease out his objections. Nothing, really, just discomfort at something like a military parade to salute and honor people who had just participated in a great and successful operation. So revealing. Recall that as one of the first "jeebus, these people are just on a different planet" moments.

I was taking a weekend pass from Ft. Dix and spending it if Philly. I had stopped in at the USO at the (?) Adelphia Hotel, 4th floor, for donuts and coffee.
The windows were open, and there was a parade going on. There were a couple of companies of ER's or NG's marching down the street, and a couple of APC's. The APC's had the top hatches open, and as they rolled by I could see troops sitting inside drinking beer amongst beer cans rolling around on the floor.

I think it's a gyp, really. It was a consolidation. There used to be separate days of commemoration for the Army and Navy. And anybody who's been in the Marine Corps or the Air Force knows when their Days are.
Trouble with parades is, nobody goes out much anymore, and most of our cities aren't really something you'd want to parade through.

Around Memorial Day time, but no overlap. Decent to excellent weather, typically, in DC.
But how about another twist.
Move the thing around. One year in DC. Next year in Denver. Next year in Atlanta, etc. The lack of contact between the military and the public has become rather acute, for several reasons. An event like this would be a great thing for reconnecting the people and their military, in a small way.

I offer a radical proposal.
I bipartisan legislation from Congress mandating two things.
1. Mandatory firearms purchases. Mandate every household keep two firearms in the house. One handgun and one rifle, with training paid for by the government (we'll run this through the Second Amendment, maintaining the militia or what have you).
2. Mandatory abortions. Someone would have to prove they had the financial resources available to raise a child without government assistance at least thru kindergarten.

Many visitors here mention how they literally never see any, or any other military personnel or hardware, where they live. Surprising number of people ask for recos on places just to watch military aircraft and other operations.

The falcon heavy has a payload of 141000 pounds, a bit less than a standard tesla, so I doubt they were worried about the weight of batteries. Worried about the batteries catching fire and burning the rocket down on the launchpad maybe.

I doubt the Tesla's standard battery pack would be useful for long space voyages. Would the cells even hold up in a vacuum? Probably not in their design parameters. It would make more sense to have a small bank of rechargeable batteries of a type proven for use in spacecraft, along with solar panels and maybe a nuclear battery, too.

Huh. So you were seeing the port (left) side of the aircraft...the one closest to you would have been red if it was a nav light. Might have been a reflection from the formation lights as Anna Puma said. Been a while since I've seen an Osprey, they were still in testing when I was at Pax River in the early 90's.

ATC rules for the LA area (and others, i suspect) allow them to traverse it under VFR if they stay within X distance of an Interstate and at less than Y feet AGL, iirc.
Otherwise they have to sign in and follow directions. so yeah, i see them fairly often, transiting from the bases down south to Pt Mugu. this one was out of the regular flight lanes for VFR, but maybe because it was night time. i've also seen them flying along paralleling Mulholand.

Aside from typical AZ paint peel, the body is nice,and the interior very clean and presentable. Pack rats have eaten some wiring on the engine, but thankfully did not get inside the car. Job #1: pressure-wash the engine, splice damaged wires, and see if it will go.

Your company hired an employee who recently "switched genders." She has had her name legally changed to a decidedly male, dresses as a male, etc.
The company says that a person's legal name is their legal name so they must be addressed as such.
Let's say you're willing to go that far with this; wrong or not the law is the law, and you need to work. So you agree to refer to the person by the legalized name (or maybe you'd refuse even that, you tell me) but that's as close to affirming anything about this as you're willing to get.
Here's where the trouble really starts.
One of your duties is to put things in writing, some of which unavoidably refers at length to employees. You do not want to call a biological woman "he" or "him," and the company's policy on THIS point is not yet clear . . . but you know that once it's noticed (and it will be) the person in question will complain that the "correct" pronouns are being deliberately avoided, which equals harassment, bigotry, lawsuits, etc.
At this point, the foundational issue of free speech vs compelled speech will kick in. In today's madhouse society you cannot know how this is going to go, if it goes south.
What would you do?
Would you figure that since you've already agreed to call them by their now-legal male name, you may as well call her "him"?
Would you draw the line at using what you know is the biologically incorrect pronoun, and refuse to do so?

I agree some are not worth fighting, either because they can't be won or they just aren't worth it if you did win.
But one factor in this is I didn't mention is the person's belief that God does not tolerate lies, so to knowingly honor a lie by participating in it via pronouns, is to dishonor God. And that's not something the person is willing to do.
