What I've realized is that it doesn't matter if they are wrong.

Seemingly 100% of Democrats and LIV's believe the Bush tax cuts cost the country trillions of dollars and led to the financial crisis in '08.

I don't know if you can find anyone in the media actually SAYING that exactly, but that's the impression they create and foster, and no one ever goes back to say, "well, we said the world would end with the Bush tax cuts, let's see what federal tax receipts looked like in the decade following..."

Deceased former member hasn't been part of the church in years. No one knows who he is.

Hope and pray his family goes with the funeral home.

Jane - we get that a lot too. Rev got called to go to Milwaukee because a lady who hasn't come to church in about ten years was having heart surgery and wanted "her pastor." He's only been here 6 years so he never met her before. I don't think she's going to make it, and the family (also unknown to us) would like everything here.

I'm glad that they want to find solace in God, and I'm glad they feel the need for the church and for the pastor. I just wonder why they never felt the need in ten years. Oh well. At least we can help now.

Is the site reliable?
Posted by: Lurking Cynic at January 17, 2018 06:13 PM (LqMRb)

The story seems closest to the Truth if you have been following the crimes being exposed the past few years.

It was a CIA base running arms, money, and lord knows what else. I'm assuming it's safe to say a few American lives were sacrificed to keep those ratlines open and operational and out of the public eye.

Both parties in DC were profiteering from the color revolutions in the Middle East and North Africa.

We practically put out entire meals for people, but my committee of 12-20 has dwindled to me and two or three others. It's physically exhausting.

We did one for a woman who was the widow of a member who had been dead for so many years no one remembered who he was. She was an atheist from the NE who never darkened the doors of the church. Her out-of-state grown children insisted on a service in the church, followed by a reception. Literally no one knew who the woman was, other than her obit read she was "a proud member of the CT Democratic party. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Planned Parenthood."

We gritted out teeth and did a nice reception, her spawn poked their heads in and said, "Nice!" and left never to return to this state again.

That was a tough one spiritually. REALLY tough.

In the case of the Tax cut, the results are good for the people and for Trump so intentions must be used. And Trump's intention are evil...in some way... He certainly did not MEAN for the average worker to benefit. It was an unintended consequence, an accident, so he gets no credit for it.

330 Guess what? Stopping illegal immigration also helps increase worker wages. Also it helps the chronically unemployed.

Workers love illegals for a variety of reasons. "They do the work Americans don't want to do." is what people say, but they leave out "at the wage the employer wants to offer" - offer more money and plenty of people would love to do the job. AND, because they are illegal, none of our pesky workplace protection laws apply. Also no insurance, no SS tax, no Medicare, or workman's comp. They actually can afford to pay the illegals more, because they are paying the government less.

Do you have possums where you live? Some years ago, I was taking dinner to a friend who had just had a baby. When I was leaving, I opened the door and a possum ran right across the stoop. I screamed bloody murder and slammed the door. Those things are so ugly - those tails are the worst.

No, I don't think there are possums around here. I get rabbits in my yard all the time, but this seemed a bit bigger and moved differently. 547 D'oh Boy actually ate dog in S. Korea. Didn't mean to, and was horrified when he found out. A S. Korean Marine took several U. S. Marines to a "hamburger" place in Seoul, and told them they made the best burgers.

Son said the burger was decent, and then they heard this zapping noise and yelping in the back.

Freaked him out and pissed him off.

Then, on the way to Afghanistan, a blizzard grounded their flight in Awfuckitstan or somewhere. The Marines were ordered to stay in the freezing hangar, and the locals served them mystery meat sammiches that turned out to be horse.

And of course, he rides and loves horses. So doubly screwed.

553 >>It's been a while since I read the Journals of Lewis & Clark, but as I recall they really liked bear a lot out of all the wild game they lived on.

Well, I can tell you from esperience that the best Bear is on par with Pork you would send back or be afraid to eat if it were served to you.

For my money, you can't get better than Antelope unless you are far enough north to have access to Moose or Caribou.

Deer and Elk are nipping at their heels, but Antelope and Caribou are the top of the list for me.

557 Trying to think if I've ever eaten bear.

We had some of the bear that took a chunk out of one of our pigs (which survived). It wasn't very good, but I don't remember in what way.

563 A few years ago a neighbor down the road at the summer home in Wisconsin had a greyhound. One summer day a pick up truck with a couple of barking dogs drove by,and right behind hte truck was the greyhound chasing the truck. The greyhound gave up the chase and stopped at our front deck, the owner showed up and said the dog jumped out the second floor window to catch the other dogs. That's real determination.

566 (I've known people who've eaten dog, cat, rats, pigeons, etc - Leningraders.)

When I visited the Evil Empire in 1977, the first place they took us was the Leningrad cemetery where they buried the dead from the Siege. Nothing but mass graves with a single marker, giving the year. If it's soldiers, there's a small red star etched next to the year. Weirdest part: they play spooky music all the time through loudspeakers that are set up all around the cemetery.

571 Anyone else think Trump arranged this? That he contacted all these big companies (whom he'd known for years probably), and told them he was arranging a big tax break as long as they passed it on to their employees? And if they agreed but didn't do it, he made it known how disappointed he'd be in them, where this was understood by all to mean that Trump would p*ss in their coffee.
