Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Sessions Asks FBI to Take Another Look Into Uranium One DealOn the orders of Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Justice Department prosecutors have begun asking FBI agents to explain the evidence they found in a now dormant criminal investigation into a controversial uranium deal that critics have linked to Bill and Hillary Clinton, multiple law enforcement officials told NBC News. The interviews with FBI agents are part of the Justice Department's effort to fulfill a promise an assistant attorney general made to Congress last month to examine whether a special counsel was warranted to look into what has become known as the Uranium One deal, a senior Justice Department official said. ... Facebook says aged-based targeting for employment is an accepted industry practice, disagrees with allegations that the ads are discriminatory
First, our own advertisements. Facebook tailors our employment ads by audience. For example, we may use pictures of women or older people depending on the context. These individual ads are part of broader-based recruitment efforts designed to reach all ages and all backgrounds. We completely reject the allegation that these advertisements are discriminatory. Second, targeting employment ads by age generally. US law forbids discrimination in employment based on age, race, gender and other legally protected characteristics. That said, simply showing certain job ads to different age groups on services like Facebook or Google may not in itself be discriminatory -- just as it can be OK to run employment ads in magazines and on TV shows targeted at younger or older people. What matters is that marketing is broadly based and inclusive, not simply focused on a particular age group. In addition, certain employers want to attract retirees, or recruit for jobs with specific age restrictions like the military or airline pilots. four donations totaling $2.35 million to the Clinton Foundation. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the foundation, the Times reported, despite a promise to publicly identify all donors. The foundation later said it made a mistake.
Nice mistake. I get the graft angle and why it's important to bring down the Clinton Crime Syndicate, but I don't get the tizzy about a company being sold to Russians. It's like in the 80s when everyone freaked out that the Japanese bought the Empire State Building. They didn't crate it up and ship it to Tokyo, it's still right there on 34th street. *************** One thing I have said is that Donald Trump puts very big projects together. That means he has to be careful and plan things out so that everything works properly at the time it is supposed to work. My speculation is that he had Sessions in and told him to have a very careful, thorough investigation done and make sure it was done properly and by the book. No loose threads, no slop. what everyone has been crying about as sleepiness has been thoroughness. We'll see the truth of all these speculations soon enough. The Clintons have made all their money selling off public assets, so no surprise there. But what is the national interest the Obama administration can claim? Anti-proliferation? That's a joke, since it allowed the Russians to sell Iran our own uranium-- which, obviously WAS the Obama interest in this deal, assuring Iran becomes a nuclear power. I think the clear juxtaposition of these two events is absolute evidence of a quid pro quo and violates a number of statutes - particularly in light of the fact that access to the SOS, apart from the permission for th deal that was eventually given, was essentially "sold" to a business partner of an immediate family member of the SOS, for a hel of a lot of money. This is the best case scenario. Worst is a quid pro quo $$$ for permission to get this deal done. Either is illegal. Both grant the FBI an the DOJ the right to investigate the hell out of this, start executing warrants, grabbing computers, arresting subordinates and/or squeezing witnesses in marathon questioning sessions until they crack and turn over the goods on the Clintons and their phony "foundation"; which was clearly a shakedown scam to allow them to further their own lifestyles and political power goals by selling access and influence to the US government's executive branch. I am sorry Mr. Sessions but we have been over it for more than 3 years now and there is simply no impeachable offense linking President Trump or any of his cabinet, czars or campaign staff to the Uranium One deal. Besides, it might affect the Paris Accord or the Iranian deal. What if Russia does not have enough uranium to sell to Iran?
We thought we had something when we found someone who went to the same high school as Trump's son in law but it turned out he died 8 years ago in Singapore so that was a bit of a stretch even for us. Hell, even the Ninth Circuit Court would not let that by. Posted by: FBI Special Agent in Charge (of looking out the window) at December 21, 2017 01:19 PM (SGGel) 98
>>Yes, but I presume that we already have regulations of some sort about whether or not to export uranium and that a Russian-owned mine in the US still has to abide by those.
You presume incorrectly. Ask Sen John Barrasso from Wyoming who has opened and investigation as to why the Obama administration allowed the Russians to illegally move uranium out of the US. Your refutation refutes itself. If the Russians are "illegally" moving uranium out of the US, then there are regulations that they're supposed to abide by. Yes, but I presume that we already have regulations of some sort about whether or not to export uranium and that a Russian-owned mine in the US still has to abide by those.
======= We have laws against murder and drug dealing too. The laws do not prevent, they are for clean up afterwards. Transfers of Uranium to Russia have apparently occurred illegally already. This is what people have a problem with. Because the lack of quality uranium has curtailed nuclear proliferation to some degree. If Russia has our uranium they can also third party it to some one with bad intent. Also, uranium has a unique radiation signature. You can tell by the fall out where the uranium came from. Thus, American uranium made into a bomb, and then exploded, would effectively finger the US as having nuked someone or, prevent the US from determining who is responsible for said bomb. Cause Russia has its own uranium, except if they give it to somebody else to use, it points back to them. As the kids say, its problematic. >>What was the possible justifiable reason to sell off primary national defense assets to foreign interests??
The interesting speculation I've seen is that the Uranium One deal was related to the Iran deal, in that it gave Russia Uranium it could sell to Iran that couldn't be traced back to them. If true, that would be more than just your typical Clinton graft, and elevate it to Obama's treason in doing his best to arm and fund a sworn enemy of the US. No, it does not. As part of the deal, there were strict export controls on moving the uranium out of the US because it is a strategic national asset. We actually don't have enough and are a net importer of the core material of nuclear weapons. However, the Obama administration without telling anyone expanded the export licenses for a trucking company that did deliveries to Canada to include uranium. So they agreed that it was illegal to move it but did it anyway. Posted by: JackStraw at December 21, 2017 01:22 PM (/tuJf) 112

The alleged hacking occurred during a four-day period in early January.
The hacking suspects, Mihai Alexandru Isvanca and Eveline Cismaru, are also accused of using the computers behind the surveillance cameras to distribute ransomware through spam emails, according to an affidavit by Secret Service agent James Graham in support of the government's criminal complaint. The affidavit alleges the hackers meant to use the malware to lock victims' computers and then extort payments from them to regain access. 112 I still am deeply confused what exactly the UN vote was supposed to be for. What is this meant to accomplish? Do they really think that's how the world works, they get to tell countries what to do with their own embassies? Are they somehow of the opinion that a UN vote negates internal policy by individual nations?? Or do they hate Israel so much that they can't resist a chance to make yet another statement of how bad the Joo is?

Someone here mentioned a few months back that PDT had been eyeing the presidency for many years and had conducted his business affairs appropriately because he knew he'd get a body-cavity search courtesy of Progda the day he announced he was running. 34 Or perhaps as Jack Straw has said the OIG investigation is winding up and the results are starting to come out.
Posted by: *Mikey NTH - Sleigh Your Friends with the Holiday Delights from the Outrage Outlet! at December 21, 2017 01:08 PM (hLRSq) I am in agreement with this assessment. Being that the enemy (The Left, The Globalists, RINOs) do not operate based upon on constitutionality, legality, due process, authority, justice, or rightiousness but upon the shere will to do what they can with politics, Trump is recalibrating the government to operate that through legality. Because the enemy will use any misapplication, any technicality, any misstep, to stop their prosecution. Trump and Sessions must show perfect adherence to due process, legality, and basic fairness. (Interestingly, the Deep State and the Mueller Team are doing the exact opposite with their corrupt deck stacked witch hunt, and people see this. When a comparison is made, the Mueller investigation gives Sessions more credibility even as that team destroys its own credibility). Once accusations of an unjust prosecution by a Trump administration have been doused, the enemy will only have appeal to politics. And it will be purely tribal. The enemy's appeal is based upon TOO BIG TO JAIL. That will be a political argument. Trump will be fighting on a political plane. His appeal to the political argument will have to be JUSTICE FOR ALL AND EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER THE LAW. This where the question becomes ARE WE A NATION OF LAWS OR OF MEN? If it is demonstrated that we are no longer a nation of laws, then the constitutional order of E Pluribus Unum will have given way to Tribalism. Which is tragic. No, it's actually both. Russia, read Putin, has publicly stated that one of his energy goals is to dominate the world market for uranium. Yes, it can be used for legitimate reasons but it can also be used for weapons which is why it is a restricted sale item under US law. The Uranium One deal had as part of the deal restrictions on export. The Obama administration agreed to those restriction to get it through the CFIUS process and then promptly and secretly broke them. The US only has a fraction of the uranium we require for all needs, why in hell would we allow it to be sold to a country everyone on the left has no determined is one of our biggest international enemies? Donald Trump was my favorite vote I have ever cast for president in all of my 62 (mostly democrat) years. The reasons for this can be neatly summed up in two famous, true stories.
1. His successful redo of wohlman rink coming in under budget and ahead of schedule after years of government waste and malfeasance 2. Standing up to the palm beach board when he purchased mar a lago and suing them over their racist and anti Semitic rules. He does what he says. He is accountable. He knows the difference between right and wrong. He is cunning, calculating, and very smart. Unlike the vapid, unaccomplished obama, trump actually knows how to successfully run things and he is street smart. Mark my words, he knew he was being taped. He had Flynn who was aware of the unethical obama and Brennan, Giuliani, and Christie, who had been taken out by obama by leaking the bridge gate emails. He had Sessions to inform him on plenty as well, including the GOP bad apples. This has all been planned out and is starting to percolate. Just because things are not in our face does not mean they are not being done. Horowitz, the obama appointed IG, was thwarted at every juncture by the obama crime cabal, even having the IG rules changed by Holder to stop any investigations. Horowitz is raring to go with his report and that is where most of the leaks are coming from. Drip, drip, drip. Just wait for the faucet to be turned on! Politically it helps Trump more to show mercy. I care about him winning
in 2020 and enacting his agenda more than revenge on people I really don't give a fuck about anymore. --- I doubt it helps Trump. The FSA isn't going to vote for him just because he was magnanimous. I frankly can't think of anyone who was against him last time who'd switch, except perhaps the gope, and that only rhetorically, and I don't much want their support anyway. If Hillary is prosecuted, the demcrats will at least be tempted to attempt some defense of their former candidate (they won't be able to help themselves). What you suggest merely humiliates her to the point of making another run impossible, which just clears the decks for whichever faction is going to run the DNC next. I think therefore, there's more to be gained by revenge, even before considering the revenge aspect, much less the deterrent to future administrations. It takes them like 4 or 5 business days to get to this type of stuff. Posted by: simplemind at December 21, 2017 02:13 PM (hc+/k) 322

309 My Brother got me Trump Wine for Christmas I sent a bottle to my Trump-hating limousine liberal sister. She was not amused. Posted by: WhatWhatWhat? at December 21, 2017 02:06 PM (s/EUv) *** Hah. My crazy friend, egged on by yours truly, served Trump wine I had bought to his sisters and niece - all lefty SJWs - in Ct. He did under the guise of "taste this wine! Its really good, lets have a a sampling." He hid the label and draped a napkin over his arm like a sommelier. asking them to "savor the oaky undertones" etc. and giver their honest opinion. Then . . . the denouement: "Voila!" it's Trump wine. I watched the carnage from the safety of the kitchen, through a window. Heh. Priceless. Sleepy Sessions is a southern style limp noodle of an AG. He might be better suited for the Agriculture Secretary position but AG....nah.
I don't dislike the man but we are dealing with a post Obama/Hillary America that is filled with corruption and garbage so we need an AG who is awake (for starters) and aggressive...Maybe Rudy Giuliana? -Lauren Posted by: Lauren at December 21, 2017 02:19 PM (sfTG+) 325
Correct me if im wrong but I think the US has Uranium in the SW on Federal Lands restricted from being mined.
I honestly don't know about that. Wouldn't surprise me though. Posted by: JackStraw at December 21, 2017 02:12 PM (/tuJf) Uranium really isn't all that scarce. The reason many U.S. mines closed down is that they cannot compete with cheap uranium from massive high-grade mines like those in the Athabaska Basin of Canada. But a big exploration push in the USA could very possibly find plenty of affordably-mined uranium. Posted by: Alberta Oil Peon at December 21, 2017 02:22 PM (d6iST) 326

Well there is uranium and then there is uranium. It is not all the same grade. As of 2015, the US had roughly 1% of the world's know reserves. Sure, if there was a bigger focus we might find more but we aren't going to go from 1 to 20 or higher. Bottom line is we do not domestically have enough to meet our domestic needs. Russia can't move the uranium mines to Vladivostock. When I was a yungin sending fissile material to the Rooskies had a hole different meaning. 169 154 What does an abstain vote mean? They don't give a shit one way or the other, or they don't want to lose any sweet US cash, or the thought of messing with the Trump Admin. is too risky?
Maybe all of the above? Posted by: Cheri at December 21, 2017 01:32 PM (oiNtH) Most abstentions are by our allies who presumably would have voted with us if we really cared, but due to political pressure at home or whatever decided to abstain instead. Posted by: Harry Paratestes at December 21, 2017 01:35 PM (wmaTe) I view an abstention as being better than a no vote in some ways. An abstention could mean "This is something we think shouldn't even be up for a vote." A no vote implies "This is a legitimate issue to vote on." It is possible. Certainly the rhetoric and attitude of most of the GOPe has changed (McCain is still holding a bitter grudge he'll take to hell with him). I get a feeling that they've come to terms with Trump being president and are seeing he's not the loose cannon crazed freak they feared he might be.
Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at December 21, 2017 01:40 PM (39g3+) I'm thinking McCain isn't coming back to Washington. That's why Pence stayed back. In case McCain pull out his catheter and IVs and hopped on a flight out of Phoenix just to hold his thumb down to spite Donny Two Scoops. If he could have, he would have. He's in a fight with the fella in the white night gown. Posted by: Minuteman at December 21, 2017 03:03 PM (A3b6q) 330
264 Is it just me but is the whole Clinton Foundation cooked up by Hillary and not Bill, I just can't see Bill Clinton being that clever.

I think therefore, there's more to be gained by revenge, even before considering the revenge aspect, much less the deterrent to future administrations.
Posted by: Methos at December 21, 2017 01:57 PM (XQvuQ) It's not revenge. It's a reckoning. Posted by: Minuteman at December 21, 2017 03:15 PM (A3b6q) 332
Cue historical example of the Imperial Japanese Navy bombing up for a repeat maximum effort strike at Midway when suddenly THREE AMERICAN CARRIERS APPEAR. Quick, let's swap armament for an optimal anti-ship strike; never mind putting the bombs away, we can do that la... oh shit, here come the Dauntlesses.
Compare today: the Mueller investigation is petering into nothing, the Left is gearing up for its maximum effort strike against the tax budget, and suddenly HERE COMES JEFF SESSIONS TO INVESTIGATE URANIUM ONE. Posted by: perturbed at December 21, 2017 04:31 PM (H/7ko) 333
By this time next year, Jeff will be the most feared man in the world next to the President. Sun Tzu at its finest.

The easiest charge is still Espionage Act (intentionally, not negligently or with gross negligence, but PMITA-Federal-Prison-intentionally removing classified information from its proper place of storage) closely followed by deliberate violation of Federal Election laws to circumvent the donor limit. Yeah throw in Uranium One too but they should go for the low hanging fruit first.

"Sleepy Jeff waking up?"
Big disappointment, he's been, according to all reports. Then again, does anyone really, really know how deep and fetid that DC swamp is? It is all-too-believably possible that there are worse, more imperative things in that sludge-wash than the investigation of the Clintons. Which is scary.
