1 Good Morning Morons today is Sunday, December 10, 2017. On this day in 1884 Mark Twain's Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was published. You would be hard pressed to find a copy of it today in any library and certainly not at any school. The SJWs have declared it racist. I guess most of those idiots can not read because the main black character is a 'hero' in the book. Indeed the book is a scathing indictment of the racist attitudes of the time.

This sounds like the Kate Steinle case. Prosecutors and the judge siding with criminals. I guess there is no way to get these cases moved to a place where the criminal justice system won't be sympathetic to the criminals.

That's why I went plow. My neighbors with the snow blowers weren't even trying to move the stuff. I can now move a 46" path, which means one pass up the driveway, one pass back and done.

Turn the ignition switch on, no rope to pull. It seemed the cheapest and easiest method. As far as putting chains on, I remembered my youth, and it came back to me in minutes.

Chains and 'studded' snow tires. Those were the days.

Hi Vic - would you mind telling me which reader you're using and how it looks for you? I proofed the kindle version using the kindle tool downloaded to my PC and it was fine after some setting adjustments, but I downloaded the 'live' version just now on my iPad and it's having trouble with all the specific formatting used for the print version.

Thanks. It's a long story but the eBook file needs some additional optimization which the publisher is working on. The print version file has a LOT of formatting that readers can't handle very well. Running the file through tha Amazon conversion process helped but the fixed line shouldn't run over and a couple of other small things related to the layout are bugging me.

Ritabootoo, avid reader of AoSHQ and the pet thread, passed on Friday, December 8 after a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by friends and took her last breath in the arms of her loving husband. A memorial service is planned in New Jersey but no date has been set yet.

Ritabootoo was irrepressible right up until her last weeks. She was an Italian woman and devote Catholic, with sparkling eyes and a ready laugh. A true Moron, she was one of the brightest, most loving spirits I ever met. She delighted in Ace of Spades HQ and was entertained to no end by the people here.

She is survived by husband Bob, and although he is not a computer person, he is much comforted by the kind things readers here have said, and the prayers they wished for Ritabootoo. I collect all comments and pass them on to the family.

Her valiant fight against cancer is over, and God has taken her home. Praise his holy name.

My wife calls me St. Anthony, because I am the finder of lost things. No matter who lost it, if I can get to the spot I can usually find what someone has lost.

A lot of it has to do with thinking through the situation more clearly than they can, but it's also kind of fun when I find the missing thing that people are frantic about before anyone has even told me it's lost. Wife's wedding ring in the yard, once. She was terrified to tell me, had been crying about it, and I walked in and said "hey, did you know you dropped this in the yard? Here it is."

It's funny you mention that Polliwog. When I was making the index I originally planned to have one by contributor and another by recipe. Once I started working on it, I decided to only index by contributor and let people browse by category - it really is fun to read the stories!!
