The Morning Report 12/8/17

AlSorry.jpg

Good morning kids. The weekend is upon us and we're loaded with links. First up. Southern California is being ravaged by intense wildfires. Winds were reported of near hurricane force speed, causing fears of a firestorm. Prayers for the people, firefighters and first responders that they all stay safe and that they can get this thing under control as soon as possible.

The soft coup against President Trump and by direct extension we the people grinds on, yet is exposed more and more as the sham of the mockery of two mockeries of a fraud that it is. We knew it all along but the country now sees Mueller and his stooges as the absolute partisan hacks that they are. I think so far the President is playing this perfectly; yes, I would love to see him fire Mueller and the lot of them, but let it play out a while longer and then investigate him Comey, Clinton, Lynch, Obama and all the rest. Difficult to do when the instrumentalities of government are themselves so corrupted as to render them virtually useless in that very task.

And that corruption extends to every bureaucracy in DC, as we can see from the link about Leftist operatives still infecting over 100 embassies around the globe. That cannot be good for our foreign policy.

Amnesty is rearing its head yet again and there are several good links including Tucker Time, wherein TuCa wipes the floor with yet another Amnesty shill. The President specifically promised there will be no consideration at all of any form of Amnesty unless and until border security and the Wall are taken care of first. Considering his promises kept, including the yuuuge one about moving our embassy to Jerusalem, I don't see him caving - especially since this issue was the rock on which he built his campaign. In any case, as time goes on, I think his eyes have been opened about how DC operates and I cannot see him falling for another Simpson-Mazzoli swindle.

Then, there's Al Franken. He knows that the Democrat Party couldn't care less how many women he groped, assaulted and demeaned and that their getting rid of him is a political expediency. His "resignation" so-called was a narcissistic self-hagiography that approached Obama levels of egomania. He conditioned his exit upon what an ethics committee investigation will find "in the coming weeks" knowing full well that Roy Moore will more than likely win election in Alabama this Tuesday. The other tiny detail missing from his bloviating was an apology. Then again, why apologize if you're innocent. The depths of my revulsion are beyond my capacity to write them.

In tax bill news, you'll be thrilled to know that three leading lights of freedom, McCain, Collins and Rounds got the GOP to keep the death tax in their version of the bill. Severely conservative, they are, yessiree. Feh. No shock that 9 of the wealthiest 20 counties in all the land comprise the suburbs of Washington DC. As disgusting in its own way as Franken and his ilk in theirs.

From the Groperdammerung front came the somewhat surprising news about Harold Ford Jr. being free with his hands and now the unsurprising news that film director Brian Singer is being sued for allegedly raping, and forcible fellatio of a 17-year-old actor in 2003. At least in the porn industry, they do it all up on screen and that's what they're there for in the first place.

Ex-Argentinian President Kirchner may face arrest for covering up what she knew about the terrorist attack on a Buenos Aires Jewish center. Recall a few years back that a journalist or government official who was about to blow the whistle on her was assassinated before he could testify.

And lastly, the French ambassador took the time to recognize the 76th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor to rip America for not coming to France's aide earlier. Can you see the blood shooting from my eyes over that remark?

Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.

They are cutting the jobs in the division that makes big transformers and generating equipment. utilities are not building big power plants right now because there is little demand and the watermelons cause the price to be horrendous through serial litigation. Utilities are opting for skid-mounted small generation that cost little to buy but big dollars to operate.

When he moved to re-occupy the Rhineland, had the French Army moved then and there, Hitler would've been removed and shot on the spot.

In 1938, Czechoslovakia's military, though not as strong as Germany's, could have combined with the French and Brits had they moved immediately to punish Germany. The Sudetenland's geography would've been a bitch to fight in and the advantage was to the defenders. Again, the High Command would've decapitated Schickelgruber.

Even later, in 1939 right after Poland was invaded, the French and Brits actually crossed into Germany and started advancing a few miles, but then quickly withdrew back across the French border.

But, as we all know, America is to blame. And Joos.

On the baker case ~ seriously, wtf. The hatred of Christians by the State Dept of "Whatever Liberals Want" is palpable and this whole thing is an "op" of the gay liberal axis powers. Is there some sort of shortage of bakers in Colorado such that a gay couple can't just walk down the street and get a cake elsewhere. To ask the question is to answer it. And yet the entire situation, wether we become a Gay Gestapo country or stay a land of freedom hinges on what Kennedy had for breakfast yesterday. Unless Trump gets to appoint a few more justices, with a sufficient Senate majority, we are well and truly boned in the future.

Bill and Frank Guistra go to Colombia with Hillary. Bill and Guistra have their "business" meeting with the Colombian president at breakfast. Hillary has her official meeting with him at lunch. She miraculously changes her long-held opposition to a free trade treaty.

Message: Bill and Frank get their business deal at breakfast or you don't get your treaty at lunch, Mr. Presidente.

176 "Don't let us fall into temptation" has the same connotation as "Lead us not into temptation" in that it is putting the onus for our resistance to temptation on God.

Perhaps a better construct of the idea (since I have no first-hand knowledge of the translation) would be to replace the words "not into" with something like "away from". "Away from" being equivalent in a way to "not into"

"lead us away from temptation".

This has the sense of God and God's promise of redemption being the alternative to succumbing to temptation. (Free will argumentation may begin...NOW!)

The conditions are not mutually exclusively. They're desperate, trying to put together something they can use as a pretext to take down Trump, because it's all coming apart.

Their hundred year long game that began with isn't just coming apart in the 11th hour, but at 11:59. They never expected the push-back to hit this late or be this effective, they thought they had it sewn up and it's falling apart.

They're panicking, and their panic is causing them to make mistakes.

At $10,000/acre for farm land that $5M number is easily hit.

Posted by: Jean at December 08, 2017 08:13 AM (wWCsl)

Its
running about that here. I checked a few months ago when we were talking
about it. but that is in smaller lot sizes of 200 acres or less. IOW
something real-estate developers buy. I was shocked because when I
bought my house .75 acre lots were running $5K. But that was 1981.
.
.
.The guy who owns the .75 acre vacant lot next to my house has it listed for $30,000 with no takers in over a year.

Here in NE Texas land is going for about $10,000 and acre in the larger plots. Smaller acreages seem to be all over the place for some reason.

The housing market here is white hot. Decent houses in the $150,000-$250,000 price range don't last more than a few days before they are under contract.

The new judge is Emmet Sullivan. Despite being a Clinton appointee he seems like a pretty straight shooter.

As I said above, he was the guy who tossed the case against Ted Stevens for DOJ corruption and he was also the judge who did a lot of work forcing Hillary to comply with FOIA requests on her emails.

It was farmland but was being sold for one reason or another. Probably estate sale to pay taxes. All land can be developed one way or another.

But they have some strange laws on that here because of abuse of the tax laws. Farm land is taxed at a very low rate so everyone tries to get their land classified as farm land and then sell it to real-estate developers. But the State passed a law about 10 or 15 years ago that said if you did that the buyer had to pay 5 years worth of the difference in taxes for farm land and normal real-estate.

If PDT shuts this down now, as he has every right to given all the facts, the optics of it will still be used to charge him with doing so as a cover up.

If he lets it play out a bit further, I think he can a) pardon everyone and b) go public and charge Mueller with leading an insurrection.

So far, the only people swallowing this crap are the media and leftists.

But of course to say that there is no fraud in the sacred government

lie!!!!
.
.
.It was literally a running joke for over a decade about him defrauding Social Security. Everyone knew what was going on from the State AG to the Feds but they refused to do anything. The Feds said it was the States responsibility and the State said it was up to the Fed to police their own program and they both just let it ride for years until it got too blatant.

He got one County in Kentucky so hyped up on disability that the main source of income for that entire Country was SS Disability money.

I met one of his guys at a VFW Convention once and he was openly bragging about how much money they were pouring in to the local economy from the deal. He called Conn the main employer in Haralan County.

What I understand a lot of farms do is *incorporate*. So a family farm is just a corporation with the family members as the board.

That way the farm stays a farm, the multiple heirs all get a say in the operations, and the death tax on the land is avoided when the actual owner dies.

"For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin."

It takes some effort to decide what one thinks of that verse, but as far as I can tell, it is fairly accurately translated as is. The pope is adding words to make it say what he thinks would be more clear.

biblehub.com/interlinear/matthew/6-13.htm

The word "yield" can't just be added ... that is adding theology. And to ask God to not let us yield is sorta asking him to possess our free will. That is the problem I would have with that line of thinking.

The word "lead" is usually translated "brought". Other verses suggest God will not give us more than we can bear. But temptation/trials are rather constant in life.

The Father Fox had on suggested (stated I think) the original was Aramaic ... then Greek. I've heard that but didn't know that was the Catholic position ... it used to be a non-mainstream concept. But changing text and adding a word is a bad idea ... I'll have to look for an Aramaic interlinear online.

It's not about a "piece of land here or there", as the PA's top

Sharia judge clarifies, it's a religious war. And Israel is not just a

religious war between Muslims and Jews, but a shifting frontier in the

larger war between Islam and the rest of the world. It's another

territory to be conquered on the way to Europe. And Europe is another

There can be no peace in a religious war. Nor is there anything to negotiate.

395 Before Nisman was to enter his report and testify on Kirchner and the claim that she had traded a blind eye and permission to the Iranian government to investigate if any Iranian terror group had something to do with the attack against Argentine citizens, he was found dead in his apartment, shot in the forehead with a .22 Bersa pistol that he had supposedly borrowed (against Argentine law) from an acquaintance.
The report was missing, but a corrected draft was found in the trash.
On review of his effects, Nisman was found to have an unregistered Bersa .22 stashed in a storage unit, and apparently had no need to borrow one.

428 The NASV translation is faithful to the original text - the problem with the Pope's analysis is that the referenced line in no way suggests God is active in this fashion - the context is that if we focus on God given the totality of the prayer, He will deliver us from evil and we will be resistant to temptation. The Way of the Cross is hard - it's supposed to be. Francis is the latest in a long line that want to water down the faith but trust me on this, God will not be mocked.

France not honoring its treaty obligation with Poland had more to do with the dustup that started in 1939 turning into WWII than the US not wanting to get involved in a European war in 1940. If France had invaded Germany in 1939, the war might have very well have been ended then and there.

440 The article on the Estate Tax finally has a lot of what's really going on with it, if you read all the way through. (too many words for the average reader, though)

Simplified Version - one of the easiest ways to deal with the Estate Tax is to take out an insurance product that will pay the tax upon death (we have one of these on my 94 year old f-i-l) These policies are available for only a fraction of what the actual tax would be, and that is currently one of the top ways for families who plan ahead to avoid paying any full estate tax.

Insurance companies make a lot of money selling these policies. Those insurance companies have been making large campaign contributions to the 3 Senators who have now stepped in to make sure that the Gravy Train which these insurance companies are riding doesn't get shut down.

And that's it. Nothing to do with left, or right, or Trump, or anything. Just the never ending day to day biz in DC of keeping the money rolling in to their pockets, any way possible.

I'd like someone to propose a rational alternative to why that is
happening other than the obvious, either the OIG acting alone or the OIG

At the gym last night watching MessNBC (too lazy to find the remote and had ear buds in anyway), monitoring enemy transmissions. Could read the closed caption though. Difficult to do, sometimes painful.

This goes back to my tea leave reading thoughts of yesterday. The 3 inch letters constantly on the screen were something like "The Plot to dismantle the Mueller Investigation"
The tea leaves say:1. Tipping their hand (projection) they admit that the Mueller investigation is a PLOT to dismantle PDT admin. Plot is a Freudian slip. If the investigation were n the up and up, the word PLOT would actually be a disservice to the activity. Whereas all the steps that Jackstraw is talking about (thank you very much) are the workings of the legal machinery of the government within the constraints of the law, the opposite of a plot..
2. Admission that the dismantling is occurring and that all (real not kabuki) progress is moving toward destruction of Mueller.3. Vanita Gupta very sternly warns people of the disaster it would be. Troop rallying and seeming to be positioning for after the demise of the Mueller investigation.4. Doughy faced show leader (He's somebody but I don't care to look for name Chris XXX, not Cuomo, but just as douchy), was very dower and sternly serious. He knows whats coming and does not like it and is trying to keep a brave face (badly) for the true believers.
That's the best I can do for high brow analysis. Back to Al Franken socks.

Yes, I love that translation too. When something puzzles me, that's where I go. It's not my everyday Bible, though, because it is so very literal that sometimes the language does not flow and it seems stilted. I like the Holman Standard Bible too. It has a nice tight translation. I know one of the men who worked on some of the Old Testament books. He's a peach.

472 The "Sleepy Sessions" term is useful.

MAYBE some major league sting is ongoing and the whole cabal is about to be brought down. This "report" might inch toward that, and it would be awesome to see real action. But much damage is done in the meantime.

Still, Sessions is getting older and had "made his bed" in the Senate with all these corrupt establishment folks for a long time. Maybe he can have no prejudice as he takes them all down ... but he had no interest in Lerner or a few other major obstructions to our free elections.

For now we can only hope ... but Judicial Watch is having to sue to get anything out of the DoJ, and DoJ is slow walking, seeming to obstruct at every step just like the Holder/Lynch days.

SOME things are coming out but only under pressure from the outside (like Sara Carter and others). But indeed with the corruption so deep, it will take time.

483 Story about St. Nicholas is quite interesting - and actually easy to believe, as long as you consider that the midnight visitors who brought him his robes and bible were Constantine's agents, who had also payed off Constantine's guards. Why? Because Constantine was eager to centralize religious authority as well as Imperial authority, and Arius was a speedbump on his highway.

The old Emperors new that arranging a timely miracle or two was always the best way to win your case.

Do you think that the fact that there has been an active investigation into all of this going on since January and the evidence if given to Congress will leak like it always does before the investigation is complete might have something to do with that?

Ever try to get information from any law enforcement organization during an active investigation? Unless it is corrupt, it doesn't happen.

493 a point ... we don't have original texts regardless of whether the originals were Aramaic or Greek. iirc, Greek was more the "business/legal" language, Aramaic for the commoners.

So it is kinda "nice" to think Jesus spoke Aramaic in sermons and was a "man of the people", not one of the elite who had confiscated the "establishment".

The scribes are the heroes over the ages, being pretty dutiful in days of quill and ink on scrolls. But each individual has to study for themselves. Online tools are pretty handy now.

494 Specifically, the Catholic leader said in an interview Wednesday he would prefer to adjust the phrase "lead us not into temptation," saying that it too strongly suggested that God leads people to sin.

This kind of suggests that he prefers his translation because it fits in with his theology, kind of like how Hillary would like to rewrite Orwell's 1984 as if it recommended unquestioning faith in government leaders and the media.

To have him just pull this out of his cassock, when it never occurred to previous Popes or Koine Greek scholars seems a bit suspicious.

If you reject hard sayings of the bible, why not just chuck it and write your own? Kind of what Joseph Smith did.

that is possible for some of it at least. But the "no interest in Lerner" and other items give me doubt.

You follow it more closely that I, and you give me hope that they are more serious. But it would break a trend, and the establishment will fight to at most make it just a report ... two steps forward, one step back .. or something.

Hopefully it is coming a crescendo of firings and prosecutions.
