18 >>>Who the fuck writes 'no/100' ?
Seriously? That is not uncommon. Posted by: Banana Splits Guy - Ho Ho Hoing to the Holidays at December 05, 2017 05:03 PM (yRgC6) I would say it's more common than not. If you write "0" someone can always come along and put a "9" in front of it. A historical oddity from when you could buy something for less than $5. And yeah, people still write checks, as long as my @#$$% water district doesn't have electronic payments. And people do change checks. I knew a guy who wrote "not to exceed $100" on a blank check to his wife, who promptly added a couple zeroes, cashed it, and divorced him. Flake is more worthless than tits on a boar hog, as we Alabamians say. He will not be missed. With friends like that, who the hell needs enemies?
Doug Jones is nothing more your typical liberal Southerner who tries to convince Bubba that he's "one of them." He's an attorney who once trashed the reputation of a woman who was raped as a 15 year old by most of the UAB football team, who called her their "plaything." He outed her by mentioning her hometown. http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2017/11/accuser_in_uab_sex_abuse_case.html They settled, by the way. Some here think that Trump is too abrasive and that he should pick his battles more wisely - that RINOs could be harnessed to get more of his agenda passed if he used a bit more diplomacy. I don't know enough about the people involved to assess that.
It's obviously riskier to switch to someone other than the incumbent (ex. Kelli Ward) if you want to retain your majority. But one good thing I do see from Trump's approach is that it raises public awareness. The Flakes and McCains are shown to be willing to defect at the drop of a hat, because of sour grapes. They have no deep rooted principles. Posted by: Steve and Cold Bear at December 05, 2017 05:37 PM (/qEW2) 323

I think that is called the Legal Line and has to be written out. As long as the bank pays the written amount, I'm sure quite a few formats are ok. ===== Yeah, I've had discrepancies (bad handwriting) and banks are supposed to take the numbers written out as the amount. ps -- my usual is no/100, although my parents used xx/100. He is not a Yankee, even though a team by that name plays in one of the boroughs. In the world, Yankee means American. In America, Yankee means Northern. In the North, Yankee means New England. In New England, Yankee means a certain kind of family, mostly Protestant, which has been in this country forever and embraces values like thrift, humility, and ingenuity. Among Yankees there are subtypes, including Brahmin who are old money, and my people, New Hampshire Swamp Yankees, who have been here forever and never really moved up economically. I was once in a true Brahmin establishment, the Somerset Club (Yankee Bill Weld featured it in his novel). The sofas were ratty, intentionally so. Yankees are against ostentation. Trump is many things but he ain't no Yankee. Posted by: Bandersnatch at December 05, 2017 05:43 PM (fuK7c) Posted by: Jane D'oh at December 05, 2017 05:43 PM (ZRC8N) 373

I really want TuCa to call McMullin Egg McMuffin on air. Preferably to his face.
Is that a thing outside the HQ, like something you see when you go Outside to the twitters? Cuz it would be so awesome to find out that TuCa is a Moron. Posted by: Bandersnatch at December 05, 2017 06:08 PM (fuK7c) 508
492 I kept hearing people talk about schools not teaching cursive writing anymore. Urchin #1 is in third grade and she is learning cursive. I was about to get all upset over it and now I don't have to.
Posted by: grammie winger at December 05, 2017 05:57 PM (dFi94) Depends on where you live. My local school district doesn't teach it at all. I can see arguments both ways - there are only so many hours in a day, and lots of things for kids to learn. Posted by: Ace's liver at December 05, 2017 06:08 PM (+azJs) 509
Who the fuck writes 'no/100' ?
Posted by: garrett at December 05, 2017 05:02 PM (QmIMb) ======== I write out 00/xx to indicate a whole dollar amount. I've never seen "no" as the numerator. Posted by: Steve and Cold Bear at December 05, 2017 06:10 PM (/qEW2) 510
Where's Flake's matching check for $100 to a pregnancy care clinic?

Flake is just showing he has "no sense" with that cheque.

Given Flake's net worth, that's the equivalent of me donating much less than a cent to Moore. What a total, absolute fraud and sanctimonious asshole. Good riddance.

Martha McSalley, the A-10 pilot, needs to point her GAU-8 directly at Flake's career and fill it with depleted uranium.

Jeff Flake is yet more proof that there needs to be a Hell.
