CNN Producer Fired Over "Inappropriate Behavior"

The producer served under... Good Guy Greg pretender Jake Tapper.

"The behavior attributed to Mr. Davis does not align with the standards and values of CNN," the network said in a statement.
CNN has fired senior producer Teddy Davis over claims of inappropriate behavior.

"A comprehensive investigation was conducted as soon as this matter was brought to our attention. The behavior attributed to Mr. Davis does not align with the standards and values of CNN and Mr. Davis is no longer with the company," a CNN spokesperson said in a statement Wednesday.

Davis served as producer on the network's State of the Union, hosted by Jake Tapper, prior to his termination.

According to a source at CNN, the network's internal investigation into Davis surfaced instances of the ousted producer making fellow colleagues uncomfortable. There were no reports of physical or sexual assault.

In response to news of Davis' firing, Tapper tweeted that he was "fully supportive" of CNN's decision.

A lot of "reporters" don't seem to have any idea what's happening right in their offices and sets.

And what's this crazywoman mean by this?

I have absolutely no doubt that everyone around these people knew *exactly* what was going on.

I have worked in offices of varying sizes in various industries. Idle gossip is the name of the game. "Did you notice Stephanie spent like 20 minutes at Brians desk today? They also left for lunch at the same time. OH, and I heard that Brian's wife is angry at him for working late every day. But we all know he leaves at 5 on the dot..." etc.

There's no way that whatever is going on in these news rooms is not common knowledge.

46 "A comprehensive investigation was conducted as soon as this matter was brought to our attention. The behavior attributed to Mr. Davis does not align with the standards and values of CNN and Mr. Davis is no longer with the company," a CNN spokesperson said in a statement Wednesday.

We stress the importance of titty-grabbing in the "radio-dialing" method. Mr. Davis was more of an ass-grabber and that just doesn't live up to CNN standards. Mr. Davis would be better off over at CBS where they value ass-grabbing over titty-dialing. We, here, at CNN are committed titty-dialists and will not stand anyone who falls short of our standards in that department.

This. Is. ... Dialing in Radio Free Europe ... CNN!

102 Ladies, we live in a world that has remotely locking doors, and those doors have to be operated by powerful, middle-aged white dudes in the news and entertainment industry who pose as feminists. Who's going to molest those women? You? A principled, decent conservative man? I have a greater perversion than you can possibly fathom. You weep for female victims and curse the Weinsteins. You have that luxury.

You have the luxury of not knowing what I know, that these sexual assaults, while tragic, would have been totally worth it if Trump hadn't been elected and we continued to get away with it. And my perversions, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, were totally worth it for decades.

Did I order the Code Red remotely lockable door? You're damn right I did!

Kathy Griffin's comedic shtick is essentially gossiping. She tells funny stories about what she's seen or done with other celebrities (e.g. tales from attending Brooke Shields' wedding, backstage banter at the Grammies, visits to The View). She would naturally be mining CNN for material as she does at every other gig of hers. Wonder what she's referring to?

119 oops- wrong thread, so repost.

Memeorandum is full of stories that Trump has dementia or is otherwise
insane; Kushner is meeting with Mueller; Ivanka plagiarized herself; the
CIA is hugely upset at getting Cotton, because waterboarding, and State
is in despair over Pompeo; Ezra Klein is practically openly calling for
regime change in D.C. by any means necessary; Teresa May is waiting
(patiently I hope) for an apology; April Ryan was barred from the
Christmas party because she is black and Trump is racist, and not because her CNN bosses
told her she couldn't go; and twenty years ago some guy claims Trump
told him he likes "first rate pussy".

So that's the American center-left. I'm kind of afraid to go look at DailyKos.

272 I grew up in a time when "dropping the gloves" was a pretty common way of settling a dispute. With that said; it was never trivial. There is no surer way to feel your stomach and nads tighten than to know that you are about to get into a fist fight. Adrenaline, fight or flight, etc. It's all very real.

Whether you win the fight or lost the fight, it's a pretty intense thing.

I cannot imagine what this feels like if you are a 5'1" woman, facing a 6'2" man with twice your weight and three times your strength.

As we see the various victims coming forward, we can't believe all of them - by definition, some of them are lying - but I believe most of them. And I understand why they are all coming forward now, at once, like fish in a school.

There is protection in numbers. There is air cover in the press, now, even if that same press is proven to be fully complicit in all of it... which is what seems to be true.

I have worked in many places, including one place where there was a lot of hanky panky going on, but never where there were the kind of things that we are now reading about. Nobody walked around in their underwear, or less. Nobody groped anyone. Maybe there were holiday-party pecks on the cheek that got moved to the lips, maybe, but nobody was slipping a tongue into anyone else's mouth.

These were termination-offenses, even before our glorious President Clinton got away with it.

And nobody ever, ever sexually assaulted anyone. Nobody chased anyone around a desk; nobody ever attacked someone until they passed out.

Those weren't termination offenses - those were prosecution offenses. We would have called the police.

I understand how and why victims are cowed. What I can't understand is how, as word got out, nobody worked with the victims to protect them and ensure that they received justice. This is incomprehensible to me.

So I said "I sure hope I'm not included in that bunch."They said "Oh, no, not at all! You're SAFE. A good friend of Boy BFF is a mid 50's black guy. He got a job at a company where he was the only man in a department with 15 or so women in it. They were all late 20s to early 30s women. He got fired from that job because "he brought such negative energy to the workplace".

In other words, because he was male. He had the best numbers in the department, he was the only one current on assignments but he just didn't fit in. Because he was male. It was incredibly obvious that was the case.

Once, when I was driving on a bitterly cold night in the Northeast, a woman stepped out in the street, waving frantically. I stopped, thinking she had an emergency. Turns out she just wanted a ride to get out of the weather. She peered in, and said, "You look harmless enough."

"Thanks ... I think."

It will never happen, of course.

I was in a convenience store this morning where the clerk had NPR playing on the radio. It was an interview with some expert about why tourism to America from other countries was declining.

The expert blamed the "anti-foreigner political climate" in the U.S. -- ie, Trump.

444 That Griffin chick is cracking up bigly.

Recently, she was tweet-slamming teh ghey Bravo guy for having a small dick. Why Jake Tapper is targeted I don't know (she prolly heard he said something bad about her.) Lacking any work in the US, she sits around unhinged and getting unhingedier by the minute it seems. I would not want to be on her hit list as the cray cray is going to get to level eleventy11!11!! real fast.

BTW, not hearing much about Judge Moore, are we? The 'rats are on Plan B trying to get voters from neighboring states to vote in Alabama. I hope that the voting fraud inquiry team of Trump is paying attention.
