But I had expected a repeat of the first time I had it done: one cut, and I was clear. I guess I was just lucky that first time. Because of the extent of the cutting they did and the location, I had to get a plastic surgeon to stitch me up. Now I have a shiner and wear dark glasses everywhere. I just don't see how anyone could consider them anything but a bad idea. At least if you're outside you get nice outside air and the real sun. I mean, lying around roasting in your own juices on purpose is dumb to begin with but at least if you're outside you get the benefits of the outdoors.
The kind of tan I like is the one you get from working and doing stuff outside, not lying around baking.

Just for the record, Leean Tweeden was a civilian entertainer when that photo was taken. I don't think the photo itself is proof of groping; it's clearly a "gag" photo, with him mugging for the camera, but given the history of petty sexual harassment perpetrated by him against Tweeden, it's also clearly disturbing. Posing the photo itself could be considered an act of harassment in this instance, given the history.

Many women simply don't think things out. They're told that Republican conservatives hate women because they believe in traditional family values.
Many liberal women don't look at the Big Picture and see that women who live in traditional families and have a stable marriage have better lives and emotionally healthier children.

We don't know if he actually grabbed her or not. The photo isn't sure one way or the other, and who knows (as President Trump says) where he put his hands after that photo was taken.
But it doesn't really matter. That picture even if he wasn't touching her would get you fired from of 99 out of 100 jobs. Not to mention the nasty tongue kiss story, and the stalking story.
I don't believe stories just because they're told. A bare accusation is not enough. But a bare accusation plus the photo plus an admission? Now I'll buy what people say about him, yeah. Now he has to give some kind of compelling evidence that they aren't true.

I stopped the regular check-ups because I got sick of it. (I had to go every three months due to a melanoma.) The basal cell carcinoma that wasn't detected until last month grew to such an extent that they had to take a piece of skin the size of a quarter off my forehead. (The lesion itself pre-surgery looked about the size of a grain of wild rice.)
I usually don't like to post about medical issues. I'm doing this because it seems a lot of people dismiss the skin cancer reality, as did I, even having a case history - and it really is nothing to play with. It always seems to behave way off the template, too. Like just when you think you have it figured out, you're walking around with a stitched up gash on your head and trying to peer out of a swollen eye.

Christopher, right now looking outside my window there is cloud cover 7 miles deep. We will probably not see sunshine until January when the cloud cover lifts and the temps drop to minus 15. Believe me - I know. This is my life. I track sun days. I will go out at minus 15 if there is sun. That may be two months from now. That is weather in Wisconsin. It might be ok. The big cuts the ocean made are in the barrier islands. Rockport has horrific wind damage to buildings from wind driven rain and tornadic vortexes though.
I was in Port Aransas, where storm surge damage also caused a lot of ruin, but we drove around Rockport too.

meaning that a goodly number - in some churches I've seen, I would even say most - aren't there because they believe in any particular thing, they're just there so other people can see them being there, and that makes them feel good about themselves. The only good thing about SJWism is that as it grows, these types are giving up on Christianity as a vent for their warped self expression and just moving into pure SJW-dom full time. And the true Christian Church is far better off without them.

I just dont get it Grammie. How did we lose the most common courtesies. I still hear. Mom when we went to relatives. "Mind your manners" . Then she went through the list. Plese when you want something... etc etc. sometimes it was a quiz. "If you want to leave the table what do you do?" ..."please may I leave the table?"
I find that politeness surprises people today. I thank the kid packing my groceries etc. etc. it makes the world better. Just those little things. What's so hard about that?

Our church is kind, friendly, encouraging, giving, humble, fun, smart, and sweet. They are very prayer-centered, seeking God's guidance in everything we do.
I guess you know that not all churches are like the one your husband serves. I sure hope they begin to learn from him and develop a healthy habit of gratitude.

I don't go to church regularly like I used to growing up. My husband is catholic and I'm a Protestant. But when we leave mass we shake the priests hand and say thank you, nice to see you. At my mother's church I compliment the pastor and say thank you, great sermon, etc.
I'm still shocked people are wearing flip flops in church. My husband makes the young guys take off their baseball hats at mass.

After the grueling day of getting skin cut off in installments, the doc told me he was going to send me to the plastic surgeon to get stitched up. I just wanted to get out of there, I was like: Can't you just stitch me up so I can go home?
A: No, because of the location of the wound, if it's improperly closed you may end up with a permanently skewed eyebrow.
I said, OK then. With everything else going on in my life, looking in the mirror to see a perma-raised eyebrow just may be the thing that will push me over the edge.

Sure it does. Just more slowly maybe than a tanning bed. If a light is truly full-spectrum, it has the same spectral distribution as sunlight.
UV-A, the ultraviolet wavelengths down to 320 nm, comprises the vast majority of the UV incident on the earth's surface, and is responsible for most tanning, skin cancers, AND vitamin D production.

The thing is, your church sounds a lot like mine used to be: lots of northern european immigrants and their kids, raised with a different culture than a lot of us. They don't express their appreciation or emotions the same. They care, they just don't show it by talk or sentiment. When you need them, they are there. When you don't they presume you can stand on your own and need nothing, as they would prefer to be thought of. Its kind of unsettling if you aren't used to it.

I got into it with my daughter last night and have to admit I was reacting emotionally and not listening to what she was actually saying, some of which I agreed with in retrospect. I feel two-thirds all the time because I'm just so sick of the gaslighting, warping of reality and bullshit. We mutually apologized this a.m., admitting we were both tired from long workdays and that a few slugs of wine would probably have helped. :-)

PE teacher called middle school and asked if they were missing some kids. I swear to this day that the entire town was laughing so hard they couldn't notify anyone. My mother's take was, 'they thought their Harry Potter invisibility cloaks were activated'. The two most noticeable kids in town. What is the purpose of Amazon, Google, The Internet, and the whole Tech Revolution if we have sacrificed the entire black family culture and lower middle class to import some diseased, ignorant, third world ne'er do well to mow yards, nail boards, destroy school districts, decimate healthcare, and kill our women and children.
My guess is illegal aliens cost about $250 to $500 Billion per year. Who knows, maybe a Trillion. In my lifetime (hope I last another 20 years) there is no way to assimilate the illegal and legal immigrant population into our Judeo Christian society. That means we will become more multi-cultural society and accept more violence on women and children, more corruption, and more depravity. It sounds fun until it is your 10 year old daughter groomed to be a sex slave, your son forced into gangs, and your wife raped.

Think on it... 1 million LEGAL immigrants per year... then add H1Bs...
Over 33 years... that's well over 33 Million Immigrants... of a total population of 330 Million people in America...
And that does not even count ILLEGAL immigrants... which realist estimates put north of another 30 Million...
We could easily have 20% of the population who are Foreign Born.
