The Commerce Department has revealed the 37 major deals signed between U.S. and Chinese companies during President Donald Trump's trip through Asia, totaling more than $250 billion. The deals coincide with President Donald Trump's visit to China, where he was accompanied by a delegation of nearly 30 CEOs from major American companies. "Deals can provide a solid foundation for a stronger relationship that is more free, fair, and reciprocal between the U.S. and China," said Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross. http://tinyurl.com/yavrm7qc A weakened and marginalized country? the irs, cia, fbi, atty gen. lawyers, epa, etc have been politicized and committed illegal acts targeting conservatives, spying on republicans, vastly expanding regulations in edu. and environment. and they got away with it. this is why defeating clinton was so important, to prevent the institutionalization of the one-party state. it will take more than a few years to dismantle that apparatus. But the judiciary is a long-term change that has the greatest chance of pulling America back from the abyss.
======== Yeah. The insane rulings that have been going on for many, many years, something needs to be done about it. It's not just this Hawaiian imbecile or anti-voter ID/sanctuary city idiots within the past few years. Something needs to be done - either appoint people of integrity, or term limits, or some mechanism of accountability. I believe Vic mentioned that circuit courts are not mandated in the Constitution and could be eliminated by congress, which in the case of the ninth would be a good idea. With all due respect to Scalia and Gorsuch, I think they were/are too protective of the guild. They would never say, "My fellow justice so-and-so supports this unconstitutional measure with sophistry papered over in legalese. They are not worthy to be justices and there needs to be some mechanism by which they can be impeached and removed". It's kind of disappointing when guild loyalty trumps principle. There is no such thing as a "conservative" judge. Judges either fulfill their mandate - fairly apply the law and uphold the constitution - or they don't. And "originalism"(like the concept of "forcing" in climate studies - if you'll allow a wild yet precisely applicable analogy) is a make-believe concept that disastrously stipulates an absurd destructive notion - that there is any other sane or lawful way to apply/interpret laws than to use their original meaning.
If times change - and they do - you have a changing legislature that can change the laws. And, as noted above by others, under the constitution, that accountable political branch, Congress, can and should regulate the courts and establish their jurisdiction. Policing their behavior has proven impractical, so the much heavier club of regulating their jurisdiction is long over-due. So, since everyone acknowledges the orwellian concept that language must be preserved, or it becomesa weapon of tyranny, let's talk about lawful judges, and lawless judges. The acounting industry will suffer if folks can just fill out their own tax forms. I would like to see several Congressionally mandated changes.
Among them: 1) A separate 'Death Penalty' Court. Hears only death penalty cases and all such go directly there; by-passing the Regional Appellate courts. 2) 90 day limit from filing to hearing and 90 days from hearing to decision. Forfeit (not merely suspend) pay and perks for delay of Justice. 3) A restriction on source and precedent authorities. No more U. N. Declaration of Rights or French jurisprudence (as per Ginsburg). I've got more, but that entails an 9 pg. essay. These 3 would start the process. It has fallen to the foreign press and American bloggers to tell the tale of Trump's foreign policy triumphs since we no longer have a real press corps, just a collection of DNC groupies colluding to GetTrump!
Getting NATO to modernize, a hero's welcome in Israel and Poland, getting the Saudis to finally fight terror instead of funding it, his ongoing Asian triumph including massive deals (where Eeyore-Democrats said nothing could be done), the end of the Caliphate, stopping Assad's gassings...it goes on and on. Reagan won 49 states, not because everyone became conservatives, but because people respond to real leadership. And that's what President Trump is doing on the world stage.
======== Liberal judges have come up with a bullshit term "balancing test" which is a rationalization that allows them to ignore existing laws. Contrast that with bright line test. Posted by: Steve and Cold Bear at November 12, 2017 03:57 PM (/qEW2) 248

Mary Catherine Ham made an excellent point on CNN, that I read about at Townhall. She said the leftist press has no credibility and owes Republicans the same standard they've used for decades for Democrats. Moore isn't even accused of any criminal behavior; heck, by Mayor Filner or Gavin Newsom standards, he's a saint.
WaPo and the activist left generally have for years given their political and cultural leaders a complete pass on sexual misbehavior, witness NBC refusing to run a story on Harvey W. just recently (until it was no longer possible to ignore). Bill Clinton is known to have violently raped at least one woman, Juanita Broaderick, and probably several others, but the NYT White House corespondent offered to give him a blow job instead of negative ink, so long as he kept up abortion support. Let's not even get started on KKK's own Senator Byrd, lionized as he was by the WaPo. If they don't condemn known rapists, racists and sex assaulters on the left, they have no case on Moore.
