The Report the Russian Lawyer Presented to Donald Trump Jr. Was Written by... FusionGPS

If it's somehow "collusion" for him to have received this briefing, isn't it also collusion that Hillary and the DNC paid Fusion to write it?

47 So basically, Fusion was a front to infiltrate the Trump campaign. It's objectives were to attempt to compromise the campaign by attempting a series of illicit compromises.

The dossier they created, served a second objective which was to use it as a premise for a FISA order in order to further involve U.S. intelligence and law enforcement apparatuses in the infiltration campaign.

In the event the op failed and the "unlikely" event Trump won, they would use the entire process to undermine the president and the U.S. government.

104 I think we need someone to pen a concise write up of where we are with this story, because I'm lost.

I thought this meeting with a memo turned out to be a meeting with no memo and just a hot(ish) russian lawyer trying to get the ear of the son of a presidential candidate about unrelated matters?

Or am I confusing incidents?
Posted by: Harry Paratestes at November 10, 2017 02:06 PM (wmaTe)

My understanding is that this meeting at Trump Tower with Don Jr. , Manafort, and others, was at the behest of Trump's acquaintance who worked on the Miss Universe Pagent in Russia, who claimed to have information on HIllary's emails and this Russian lawyer babe wanted to meet with Don Jr. She brought along a couple of other people. She has testified, as did the other's in the room, that she had no info, rather she used the Hillary emails as a ruse to get a meeting to talk about Trump's position on Russian adoptions. Apparently, the other clowns who accompanied her were associated with Fusion GPS and the dossier. My guess is after they only got fifteen minutes with Jr. and Manafort, both of whom have said the meeting was a waste of time, they decided not to use the dossier to blackmail. Remember the dossier wasn't published by Buzzfeed until after the election and during the transition.

108 @93: "Not exactly what you want but you can search-N-replace in Windows Notepad to get rid of the open and close curly-quotes (you have to do them separately) and for apostrophes just as you would with Word for Windows."

There are random web pages on the internet where people have built public curly quote replacement tools that are quicker and simpler than Notepad.

And other, more developer friendly text editors have built-in "remove non-ASCII character" commands too.

It'd just be nice if Pixy automated the process since it's a really, really simple fix on the backend.

122 what was written for team Trump was basically nothing (written to get them interested in the magnitsky thing, without them asking for it) ... Hillary team might have some tax problem in Russia. Nothing illegal in meeting, even if they used something freely offered to them against Hillary.

once Hillary/DNC money came in they fabricated the major crap, involved the Russians and the Brit spy. What else was given under the false (illegal) pretense of "lawyer fees"? Were they paying journalists to spread the lies? Was Hillary/DNC coordinating with Comey/FBI? Was Mueller fully aware yet is refusing any prosecution of Hillary?

Hannity's tick tock may involve a new set of IC people probing/investigating the Uranium One deal, which ties to Clinton Foundation fraud, which ties to FBI hiding Uranium One ongoing investigation from congress as uranium decision was made (and $145M was being transferred to Clinonistas 'from Russia with love')

The paper that printed them and the person making the allegations are both corrupt and the paper knowingly prints fake news on a daily basis. It's the Amazon blog and reflects the mindset of its patron, it would have to shut down without Amazon money keeping it afloat.

Sometimes democracy hangs by a thread. When Jack Ryan (R-Illinois) was forced out of the US Senate race in Illinois/2004, the resulting chaos resulted in Obama winning that seat and waltzing into the White House 4 years later.

And let's remember that Jack Ryan's big sex scandal was wanting to have sex with his wife. (Yea allegedly with other people watching, but with his wife. And he didn't get any. Which is par for the course of R sex scandals.)

The GOP has been finding ways not to help Moore since the beginning. The Swamp doesn't want draining. Moore's been running as essentially an independent from the get go as a MAGA member. I don't know how much the GOP holding back help really hurts him; but his campaign has had to do without already, and so his team is more buffered than the typical swamp rat.

Sent my first contribution to candidate Moore this morning.

It's how Hillary, and Obama before her, likes to give interviews while avoiding interviews with news people who might not go as easy on her (I know). Also gives her the opportunity to be zany and jokey amidst what should be a serious discussion. Think Obama's "Slow Jam News" or reading tweets. LOL (not).

The only other "interview" she's done since the DNC and Hillz campaign paying for dossier news came out was with Trevor Noah on the Daily Show.

251 I would argue the Moore accusations are far worse than Akin not understanding human biology.

If these women are all frauds, Moore's campaign better have some hard evidence to expose them and fast.

-------------------------------------------------

That's pretty bizarre. Only one person has alleged actions even remotely sexual, the other three saying he looked a little creepy. The one who specified a physical act said neither he nor she were ever naked and only that he placed her hand on his crotch. She was of legal age. He was unmarried at the time. No crime is being alleged and no prosecution is possible anyway, since the actions in question occurred decades ago.

WaPo is on tape offering money for accusations against Moore. This particular accuser has a record of deep financial difficulties, and addiction problems.

Moore's campaign does not need "hard evidence" to expose the accusers as frauds. They are preemptively frauds because the accusers themselves offered no evidence whatsoever anything illegal or untoward happened. Even if Moore did make an advance to the one accuser who claims it, his actions weren't illegal and she herself in her claim said it stopped the instant she said "no".

Your constant harping on how disproving these claims somehow hangs over Moore turns reality on its head. He is going to be elected, I hope, and I further hope McConnell, Luther Strange, and whoever else was involved in this will probably rue the day they started this fight.
